If you can't afford to go to film school, don't be discouraged: you can still do greater things than film school graduates can do.
Some of those reverse shots have to be the GoPro mounted facing back and the fpv camera facing forward. Clever

Not necessarily, you can invert the controls on drones, so they actually fly backwards but you handle them like flying forwards
or some of them could be ZipLine cameras since you can get pretty decent consumer ones for Gopro's, DLSR's and even big massive Cinema cameras.
Pretty smart but if it was an fpv drone this wouldn’t have worked because the drone leans forward to drive forward. The camera view would be way up in the sky

Bro he was practicing with a professional FPV drone pilot. He got the experience and its crazy to see how well he adapts. I mean damn look at those seamless transitions, absolutely sick!
And then to fly like this though be must either be practicing like a maniac or he's simply that fast of a learner. Impresses me everytime 🤯🤩
He wasn’t flying backwards he has a cam facing forwards and one on the back that is recording in a higher quality

It could be he fly it backward which he reversed the position of the control direction. Push up reverse and push down go forward. And view the drone not from the incam but looking at the drone itself

He probably has 2 Kameras so the fpv live view is on the other side as the GoPro on top

@@FlorianLand or you can just simly switch forwards with backwards on mavic air, same with left and right and simply position yourself in the back of the drone so you see the narrow line where the drone flies.

Hey Pavel! Really happy to hear that. It will be like 7-8 hours straight, so currently didnt plan to film and publish all of it. Maybe i'll show some snippets here on the channel after it 😉

Some of the techniques I heard he uses. 1. Flies full throttle. 2. Reverses controls so the camera is facing backward, so left and right stays the same as when flying forward. 3. Sets up the line of sight and flies it straight. 4. Has switched to use Mavic Air 2. 5. He turns off sensors, so they don't affect the flight.
He changes stick layouts backwards so he actually is flying forward stick, camera/drone facing reverse..all the tight shots are mainly fpv now..
"This makes me wanna get a fpv drone".... Until you realize i'ts probably just 100hours of flight untill you just know not to smash your little expensive buch of electronics xDDD

We take for granted the work that goes I to something like a SamK project untill a breakdown like this one is made... Have a MUCH better appreciation for that video... More breakdowns are very welcomed 😊🇹🇹
Just a few mentions. You don't need an fpv mode to get those clips. You can choose between follow and fpv modes in dji drones. On follow the gimbal stabilizes the footage. In fpv mode you see the tilts. Second thing I wanted to say, he doe at necessarily need to fly forwards and reverse shots, you can invert the controls so the drone is flying backwards but it handled like going forward. It's a cool idea cause it makes a great effect

this is a masterpiece in every way, the effect of flying backward can be easily achieved by placing a go pro on a fpv or regular drone facing backwards and he was flying forward ,really good analyse by the way

Hey ! Super video as always ! I just wanted to say one thing. For those backward flying shot he did with the drone, like the last one, or the one with the motorbikes, remember than on fpv drone you have two cameras, one filming the shot and one that transmit to your goggles. He “simply” put the filming camera backward and flew with the view forward !!

The transition is the water, at the top of the waterfall is the rocky stagnant water pools then the edge. On the previous shot it's water/the sea, so he's blended the waterfall pool into the sea perfectly

I feel like Kolder has to have a dual camera lens or his eyes are on a whole different level! That last shot was a total flex on people who were saying he flew in the opposite direction 😂

The 'Rio' shot with the narrow lens is not shot with a drone! It was shot from a heli! Just watch his Rio vlog 😉

im pretty sure that out there are drones that can be fly by 1 person and control the camara by another person, so you can get those backwards shots
FPV Drone, he uses FPV Drone with GoPro attached.
Actors can also walk backwards intentionally just to creat the illusion of the drone moving backwards.
I prefer to see this video instead of Sam's, your faces are fantastic ahahah

The final shot flying backwards; you can see Sam standing mid frame bottom. It's a line-of-sight (LOS) flight where you watch the drone and not the FPV display... easiest way to do these backwards flights.

he is flying forward and the camera just looks to the back ;-) gopro7 on a fvp drone. and he is not flying all of his drone shots. a friend of him. which is professionel. he is cutting the stuff.

The transition from ground to forrest may very well be morphing in combimation with perspective matching giving the appearance of transition...I use this technique for still images
Cool reaction video with analysis, but I think you don't need to pause every single time the transition happen and explain the masking again and again, I like you describe how he shot it or the context better

I don't know much about fpv drone. But is it possible to place the main camera opposite to the fpv camera?
This way pilot can fly the drone 'backwards' safely.
that exactly seems to be how they actually did it! had no idea beforehand that they could fit two cameras on a drone.

Würde mal unterstellen du kennst dich nicht so gut mit FPV aus ... du fliegst nen FPV quad in der Regel nicht rückwärts und die Kamera mit der du aufnimmst ist nicht die Kamera über die du fliegst!

The fpv shots has been taken by two cameras
First one is connected to the fpv goggle camera and
The second camera they fit a open go pro to make a light weight fpv drone in the other side to
They mosty use the latest go pro action camera to get a smoother shot and a good quality and higher fps
