Awwwww shucks thanks man for the love! Couldn't imagine youtube without you 🙌
hey Travelfeels (Matt) when you next in Cape Town look us up would love to hang out and show you around our city
We love the Mavic Pro struggles a bit in 25 Knots+ winds. (cant come back home you have to go to the drone) fly's back at 5 knots and sometimes not all all, you must go fetch ;-) its a bit scary. ua-cam.com/video/eD4c3Eu8Bvs/v-deo.html
Matti Haapoja you guys rock...trying to shoot my mavic pro without so much grain...
No one can pronounce cinematic without mentioning your name. cineMATTIc!
Matti Haapoja q
I am totally a sight see-er drone operator! Time to level up. Thanks Matti and Peter! :D
Something that hits me, your old videos is like far far far better, they feel so much more alive and full of joy. Take that mode back Pete!
You posted this the day before my Hawaii trip. THANK YOU!
Now I'm a drone expert without a drone. Might sell a kidney...
Ben Thunder save up for it man. I’m 16 and I worked for about a year and bought one. Definitely a fun tool to have. Just make sure you use it enough.
Ben Thunder kidney should only be used for one thing
Buy iPhone Xpensive
hahahaha not a bad idea
😂💦😂💦😂💦
Autel just teased their new drone at CES. I bought their last drone. Compared to the DJI 3 so it's not fantastic, but for $600, it was fun.
man how good would it be to have a Peter McKinnon plugging your channel every week.
nice video
3:59 is probably one of the best drone shots i've seen
Balls. Same😱🙌🏼
Search on YT : Kold drone shots, thank me later.
For me, the best shots at here 4:17.
Wow!!! It's all awesome. I really like your shots. Great mixing, music and everything is in place. I hope to edit like one of this. I love flying too with Mavic Mini. I captured some places here in our town in India.
And just when I thought this Tuesday Sucked. Here Comes Pete with a Two Minute Tuesday. Thanks Pete!
Tyler Neely Yes! he just made the day
Tyler Neely makes it better that it’s over 2 minutes
The Peter McKinnon Power, Love it.
Damnit, I wanna go fly my lil DJI Spark now. Finding the time and locations for great drone footage is an art in itself. So many places are off limits or restricted!
True
I have DJI MAVIC Mini and I can relate, lol 😆 “
@@jessemichaels2818 would you recommend it? thinking about getting the Mini
Alexander Haugbjørg “Most definitely. The 2.7k HD recording/1080p HD with the Return Home feature makes this thing an advanced flying robot. I have lost connection with my drone so many times (especially flying it over a mile away) and when it does, it links up to the satellites and finds the way back home every time.
You can see how I was able to fly long distances on my UA-cam channel. “
@@alexanderhaug98 holy shit yes! Dude I just got it a few days ago. I primarily got it for photography, I'm blown away at the value for the money
Great video Peter! What I would love to know is your technique for using music in these videos without it being too distracting. When I try to use upbeat, energetic music like you typically do in your videos, it often ends up being extremely distracting and I can't find the balance in levels for it to sound how it should, subtly in the background, while still being there. I usually just settle with monotonous ambient music and I wanna spice it up!
He's just awesome 💯
Daniel Schiffer you could bring down the volume and highs in it so it had a bit more of a lounge feel.
Interesting idea! I'll give that a try!
Daniel Schiffer Peter has already made a video about he is using music in his videos. I think it was a couple of months ago or so. Try to find that video.
I think his energy matches the feel of the music, which is a hard thing to do! Just gotta find something that suits your presenting style. Sick channel btw, new sub here.
Step one: get a drone.
sigh... :(
same
Ricky Martin you can make it 😃
if u are focused ♥
Very much in the same boat!
Step 2, do not crash it!
Just bought my Mavic Mini. ❤️ it.
FINALLY a video with TravelFeels again! :)
Steve Captures Steve over here too?! Little world ;-)
Dich kenne ich irgendwo her🤔
Yeah! this is awesome to see them
Jonathan Schmid Haha! 😉
Zablektronik Hmmmm:D
Ten minute tuesdays. :)
My DJI Mavic Platinum ships on mondayyyyy yeahah
Feeling when you are watching these drone shots. "Why I'm not skilled enough?" :D
Just what we needed
This serie should be called "A few minutes Tuesday" 😂😂
*Dope*
Thanks for your tips Man!
I'll try for my next video series about *Norway* ! *Boom* !
Its like a five minutes Fuesday..
ShreemantYogi Trekkers haha. on point
haha gotta love the humor Peter Has
5 minute Friday??
Yeah awesome right!
pan donhi intro jbrdst ahet 🤣
Amazing shots, thanks for the tips! Summary:
Plan your flight
Take a variety of shots
Have a subject
Show scale
Use ND filters for dynamic range
*three weeks later*
"Welcome back to 10 minute Tuesday!"
Best video to open UA-cam to :-)
Those drone shots you just previewed were absolutely incredible!
Sometimes the hardest thing while editing is to decided what shots are actually worth it to get into the final video. How do you decide that? Do you any "rule" for that?
Oh and finally a video again with Travel Feels - you two are an awesome team! :)
Cheers!
yeah they are such a good team
I loved those drone shots as welL!
i dont think there is a rule for that i think it is just feeling
i think so too!
whenever they team up it is just great!
Lol, i don't even have a drone but is still watched the video haha
same🤣😂
SPOILER ALERT: He goes way over 2 minutes.... which is good cause you know.. more McKinnon time!!
Jake Newby good, thought there was just 5:50 seconds of a blank slate 😜👍
AND WE DANCE. VLOGS hey you never know.... UA-cams SEO does favor longer videos!
Jake Newby haha, trudat ❤️😎🎧
More quality time ;)
Step two: The Self Motivation to Self Improve 🎥
Peter said it was a two minute tuesday, then I took a look at the video and saw it was almost 8 minutes long... Yeah, that's about right
Last Turn Films still worth it
And I actually have a drone and I’m flying after this also I live in Iceland haha!
Notification squad, how much do you love Peter? ❤️
PC Building GR PETERRRRRR!!!!!
Ωχ, η pcb gr!
You have a Canada / UA-cam Jacket? Nice 😉
Peter you should just call them "Tuesday Tips" or something
Notification Squad!!!
Oh yes!!
Peter McKinnon 🚨 At 6:42 you said “...these ND filters really help you get dynamic range” this is incorrect.
ND filters slow down light allowing you to lower the shutter-speed which can give a more natural or “cinematic” motion blur, but this doesn’t add more stops of dynamic range. Having a slower shutter in bright situations also allows you to open up the iris; giving you a shallow depth of field which can look “cinematic” but again doesn’t effect dynamic-range, you need a better sensor or camera to improve that.
Anyhow great videos, very fun stuff & keep up the great work! 😄👍
David Lautman “slow down light”???? ROTFLMFAO
You can look at it this way. If you want to use 2x frame rate of the shutter. Sometimes that will lead to over exposure.
With ND you can keep that latitude, in other words. More dynamic range.
Peter should have said "recover some burnouts in highlights" or sky.. everyone knows that. there is no reason to point that to Peter ;)
Travel feels is so underated
🙌
I agree with this statement
Hello I'm here with my smiling face :D
RYAN KAO WOOOOOOO
Great tips, Peter! Maybe you should abandon the "Two minute Tuesday" in lieu of "Five minute Friday"! lol
Mark Denney that's a great idea!!!
Ten minutes thursday
Kristian Aleksander Vist haha! Yes!
more like 30 minute Thursday
As I’m flying a home built FPV rig with like 5 minutes flight times 🤣
And do you have 5 tips to make Peter watch your channel ? :)
Olivier Schmitt Add "coffee" in your video title...he'll be drawn to it 😂
Smash & See you in the next video 💯
KG Productions 5 tips for better coffee maybe
Produce content in english?
Raphael Aguirre +ve
NOTIFICATION squad where you at!??!
Benni work you Mom.
Me living no where close to huge awesome landscapes. Just small hills.
Been early to a Pewdiepie video and now a Peter video...I need to get off UA-cam...awesome vid as always 😄
Me: Doesn’t have a drone
*clicks the video*
“See if I can keep to two minutes”
Check run time...7 minutes and 50seconds.
Nice.

Let’s see if I can keep to 2 minutes...
Nearly an 8 minute video 😂
That's funny, for a filmmaker and one who talks about story being important, I don't see much evidence of narrative work. You mean video maker? You're a videographer not a filmmaker. Nice finger tattoos though. That aspect of life you seem to have a solid focus on.
The owl, the bowl, the bucket shot
I know someone who has a master in film directing and when that person uploads something to youtube the view count is very poor. UA-cam isn't about storytelling unfortunately and regrettably, I profit from it learning things, mostly camera and gimbal tests, microphone tests, listening to music and watching trailers.
That was most excellent Pete. It's great when you and Matti get together. Love the friendship and how you look out for each other. Keep inspiring guys. Enjoy!
the drone shots over on travel feels are indeed some of the best I've ever seen.... Huge props. I gain so much of my knowledge on film making fro your's and Matty's channel. thanks a ton.
Obsessed with this channel and TravelFeels as well! Both of you guys go hand in hand and you give the best information! Wouldn't have half my knowledge on cinematography if it wasn't for you two! Keep it up!
Thank you for all of these videos Peter, I do really appreciate the help from more skilled people!
Thanks for the analysis of the drone camera work - smart to plan your trips ahead of time.
Really enjoyed this video and the info involved. It helped me look into my own footage and realize i have been guilty of repetitive shots but in different locations. Thanks for always keeping us updated on our toes and forever pushing your own self forward. Cheers from New Orleans, Louisiana.
You’re the best Peter! Love you and the way you create very simple things look epic. I‘m proud of I‘m a subscriber since almost the beginning.
So true! Can totally relate to the same old shots but different location... starting to be a thing for my vlog for sure. Thanks for the tips - i originally found you through TravelFeels actually. Nice to see you guys still doing vids together!
Those drone shots are sick, matty's just fantastic .. and going to those amazing places and making the most of showing it off, .. fantastic.
Smashed! Stoked for the second vlog!!
I absolutely love your vlogs... not only are they very informative.... but the way you present.... your goofiness makes them absolute fun to watch....
Great advices my friend. I really appreciate what you do for the Drone community. I will definitely apply some of this in my shoots. Cheers
amazing tips Peter! I really need to work on learning how to film myself and introduce more "subjects" in my drone shots, thanks for the advice! I'm sure it will up the quality on my travel vlogs wayyyy more!
Thanks for this video! Great ideas on getting excellent footage from your flights. This is the type of info that makes flying a drone fun and challenging, I think you nailed it with the combination of close-ups and scale, that what really makes drones unique as a camera vehicle.
dude i havent had my coffee yet but i just watch your video and im so energized! LOL . you got a subscriber! love the energy man!~
Man I love your tutorials man. Great work!
Hey Peter your videos always helps a lot.. thank you!!!
GREAT stuff Petey. Love TravelFeels too.
3:12 exactly my issue! Thanks Pete and Matty, great advice!
Thanks for the great info! Keep on rocking your rad shots and great vibes!
Right on time man! I got a mavic pro last month and I'm finally comfortable flying the thing, so now it's time to get down to some sweet sweet drone video.
I already watched the video when it first came out but I've just ordered a Mavic Air (my first drone), so had to come back and re-watch.
Super helpful tips, can't wait to use them.
Thank you for publishing. I appreciate this very much
Your videos are always informative, thanks for all the great tips!
Great footage mate. Awesome tips, will be trying some of that out myself. Love ya work.
this is another great vid, great tips for all the drone pilots out there! Nice jacket by the way pete!
*I LOVE HOW U MAKE ME EXCITED TO GET OUT AND JUST WORK TO GET AMAZING SHOTS 🖤*
Mann your tips are all on point! The best advise ive heard in my entire time flying drones!
Travel Feels, Matty, LOVE HIS CHANNEL! Ugh you guys are challenging me to be a better film maker.
Thanks for making this video! I just started flying a drone for my travel UA-cam channel and I found this really helpful!
Awesome break down. This is one on the tools I plan on adding to my arsenal very soon.
Excellent advice. Well done!
Beautiful footage thanks !!!!! love the black sand and how Matty captured it

Love it intro! I actually laughed my self out of my sit ! You’re a big inspiration! Soo thanks !
Those drone shots were amazing! Hope to see more droning tips and tricks in the future!
I quit filmmaking for two years because my university and career influenced me to give up that passion. For two years, I felt creatively drained.
You have inspired me to get back into filmmaking. I just released a video about my experience and why pursuing creativity is so important.
Thank you Peter!
Love your energy and passion in these vlogs your work is great
Part of me wants to be miffed that the two minute time limit is broken, but I just can't be upset that there is more PM content. I get inspired every time man! Keep up the great work!
Great tutorials man. The color grading or whatever the hell is on those black beach drone shots are RIDIC. Looks awesome!! Keep pumping these out. Super helpful. Thanks!
It's fantastic. As always thanks for the great information!
LOVED THIS VIDEO PETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just bought a new Mavic Air and i am learning from your tips!!!!! Thanks heaps!!!
