hey man, such a good video and I love the scenes of my country too (chile) !!! next time you need to do some shots in Atacama and in Torres del Paine (extreme south). Greetings from Germany :D
I know it can be cheesy if exaggerated or used too often but i like to do zoom pull sometimes. Using the wheel to slowly pull while closing in. Can add some drama.
All your shots look amazing. I just hope I can shoot shots half as good when I get my DJI air 2s. all I need to do now is learn what and how to colour grade, pick the right music and edit all this together to make some jaw-dropping clips to make my insta friends jealous.
Great video, thank you so much! I missed the 'wing style' shot. Not possible on all drones but my Fimi x8 2020 has a flight mode that simulates a fixed wings plane and that's adding cool dynamics....
I've just found your channel yesterday and man your work are amazing. I want to talk more about anamorphic set up for the Sony A7S II, I am really interesting on this and I want to try it. send you some love all the way from Phoenix.
The backwards reveal is my favorite shot along with the Orbit shot. Those always capture my attention. Thank you for the helpful tips! I wish you the best man
343 / 5000 Watch from France. I practice my drone, and I really like your images. It happens, my plans are starting to be like this! The locations, and the way you film, are beautiful. In a few days I am going to Island, and I will try to take pictures like you (I will try!) Thank you, it is a good training to look at your images.
@@Joey_Helms Please tell me you are going to do a fly over ... I'm dying to see where all the lava is going as none of the live feeds show anything except the constant flow.
Just found this video I’m a new creator about to start posting to UA-cam. Just got my new dji fpv in. I’ve been using my mavic air 2 & mini 2 up until now. Can’t wait to use your advice thank you 🙏
@@Joey_Helms thank you!! Any advice on just how to get started. It like writing a paper I have the main ideas I just can’t get that first thesis sentence going
@05:10 why your image is so fragmented on margins? Have you forgoten the SS = 2 x FPS? Or just forgot to check maximum yaw speed for F2.8 24FPS? :)))))
Love the shots from Chicago! I'm from Chicago too! I just worry about the signal getting lost when flying in between buildings or that far out over the lake. Do you have any tips or precautions you take?
@@Joey_Helms Thanks for the reply! So I take it you're using DJI's built in zoom feature? If I'm not mistaken, this is the same as digital zoom right? (unless different drone models have optical zoom?) Shots like 0:49 look slightly telephoto and are so freaking epic & crisp, even on a 4k monitor.
Nice video. I just started practising my drone flying and am still struggling with getting smooth trajectories without having to do any abrupt adjustments... one question here.. would you need gimbal adjustments for any of these maneuvers? Any tips on keeping the subject in focus (manually)?
Thanks a lot! I recommend dialing down the gimbal speed as well as the smoothness to around 20 and play from there. For me it depends on the situation, if I fly with gloves and have less feeling and precision in my fingers I have those numbers on the lower end, if it's warm and I don't need gloves you can be more nimble with the wheel. As for focus, since you are mainly shooting wider shots at a high aperture I have yet to find the need to adjust the focus mid-flight, usually I set it to infinity and go.

Do you have it on sport mode on 7?
All those shots are in standard. Due to the low altitude it looks like you are flying much faster. Neat trick ;)
@@Joey_Helms ya I just got my drone, but it seems like sport mode doesn't have obstacle avoidance.

Glad it was helpful!
Great tips! Is this footage scaled in post? All of it looks to be higher focal lengths than what's built into the DJI drones.

That's on the Mavic 2 Pro which has a wide and crop 4K mode. I usually film in crop
