With the amount of pain and anger in Korn's first album and Life is Peachy I thought Jonathan Davis wouldn't have made it out of the 90s. He was probably the first one of the 90s lead singers to actually get his life together oddly enough.

I think the music actually kept him from ending himself, because he had a mean to vent and share what he had carried until the song was made. And with the amount of concerts they have done so far, they most certainly have expunged many of the demons forced on them. There are some songs they won't play live though, as they are too hard emotionally still. I know many who has found a release valve in Korn. Heck, I even had a 4 year old kid with (suspected. Parents refused to get him tested, because he was just a "dificult child")ADHD/ADD who found his calm while listening to Korn.
(Story: I used to work as a kindergarden assistant, and one of my favourite kids Alexander, was one of the "naughty kids" who "never listened". I always asked if he'd been tested so we could help him instead of punishing all the time. Never happened. One day after the daycare was closed, he was the last to be picked up. I should already have left for home, but sat there waiting with him. I had my mp3 player on, listening to tunes, and he asked if he could hear. I said sure. Until mum or dad gets there, and he sat next to me and put the headphones on. The song was Thoughtless by Korn. Kiddo sat completely silent, not understanding a word, absolutely absorbed in the music. His mum came right before the song ended, but let him listen to the end. He told me he liked it, because it was what his brother listened to. Think I quit there a week or two later. Always wondered what happened to Alexander.)

The album came out when he was 25. He might as well have joined the 27 Club with how the music was on Korn and Life is Peachy. You are absolutely correct. And we are forever thankful that he didn't.

I think the things that makes it disturbing, are the lyrics, and the fact that it’s reality. It’s so sad knowing Jonathan Davis was suffering and nobody cared. Not even his mom. And this is still going on in the world. Hearing Jonathan’s pain in this song, broke many hearts. Including mine. I’m glad he’s doing better. Justice for anyone struggling with this❤️

I'm so happy you decided to not only record but also to upload such a heavy song. People should be made aware that this does happen. I was raped by my uncle at age 7. I have never told my family about this. First reason is because I repressed the rape till I was 19. I had no memory of this till talking with a therapist at 19. The reason I didn't tell anyone after remembering is because I was also physically, mentally, verbally and emotionally abused and tortured by my aunt starting at age nine till I was 17. When I was 13 I told my mother and she brushed me off like I was lying. So after that I just kept my mouth shut and took the torture like a good solider.

Childhood trauma is the stain that no amount of scrubbing will ever get out of the Sol.
It's there, night and day. If you're awake, it's always just under the surface.
No amount of drugs can erase it, there's no high that will help you forget for more than a few hours.
    It's not just the abuse.
It's also the betrayal. The lies. The denial. Knowing that the person who you once loved and trusted completely abandoned you. They are the reason for your pain.
You don't know how to trust after that, don't WANT to trust after that.
How do you love anything ever again? Including yourself?
My only consolation? Knowing that they have to live with themselves, that they know what they did. Sooner or later it all comes rushing back. There's no revenge that can beat that.
Death is too good for such people. They should be gifted with immortality, just to live with the guilt and the shame that they inflicted upon an innocent child or children. Fuck those degenerates.
Yeah, they may have also been abused in a similar way. Many are, yet they don't go and do it to other kids or their own.
It's a cop out. How does it make any sense to go and do the very thing that was done to you?
That's stupid and a lazy assed excuse for not even bothering to try and solve the problem.
What a world to live in...
