It cannot be denied how much this band changed the face of music. One of the true originals
Yes
They sound like a cross between Helmet, Nirvana and Primus. At least on the first two albums.
ABSOLUTELY agree. Their sound is so uniquely its own.
@sofacat yes!
It's refreshing to see someone else make the Nirvana comparison.
@sofacat no fucking way lol
korn has this unexplainable quality that shows the fucked up reality of johns lyrics, while maintaining the heavy metal sound. it has the perfect ratio of screaming to quiet parts. their style is among one of the coolest styles ive seen, and they will always fit in in the 2000's while still sounding like 90's music
their early 2000s stuff is ok, they're more a late 90s band
Well said bro
They are a 90's band
this song came out in like '94
Lol this song came out in the 90s
I saw Korn in concert this march and it was amazing. When they left stage and came back on with the bagpipe in hand. I automatically knew they were gonna play this. It was magical I literally cried I love them.
Still rocking 🤘🖤
I experienced this last night! They killed it
One of my lifelong dreams.
Base
In sweden? Gröna lund?
Gracias Korn por existir
X2
Así es parcero, la mejor banda de metal alternativo junto a deftones
Así es,y junto a ellos todo el Nu metal
This band was hated because they became so mainstream. This band was honestly the start of a teen revolution. Much respect
You forgot Nirvana existed?
@IAmThePlayGame yeah they did. I was talking about this certain time.
the band was the start of a marketing campaign, same goes for every pop band. also nirvana.where is your teen revolution now? they paid to be part of a subculture... now it's dead like everything that makes money
Pretty sad how just because the "normies" start liking something the subculture dies. I get it if the band sells out in order to achieve success like Sugar Ray did right around the same time but Korn stayed true to themselves. I guess they did have that one album with Skrillex but I still don't really consider that selling out, they tried something different after 20 years
No Korn OG hates them.
Hoje com 33 anos lembro que tinha 16 e ouvi esse som, me arrepio até hoje!! KorN gigante!!!
Eu com 17 ouvindo isso pela primeira vez e tendo arrepios só com esse comecinho.
Mas votou no Lula
@ᴍAɴDʀAᴋ Buenísimo!!! Bienvenido al mundo KoRn 🤘
You know you're a bad ass band when you've got people moshing to nursery rhymes😂
Lmao exactly
B.T.W You are beautiful
Sophie The Space Ghost dude in the mosh pit there was a guy who was high on meth and he realized he had hands in the middle of this song😂 it was fing great
Hola solo angel
the song is actually about the bubonic plague
(the nursery rhyme)
90s Korn just hits different 🔥
93-02 KoRn were epic!
@Big Bird PH agree then David Silveria and Head left the band and was not the same.
it slaps, as the kids now would say LOL (Im 50)
YUP ...Davids drums hit different
@Beeg Amesyeah i’m 18 and 90s korn slaps!
Korn was on a whole other level during their time. Nobody was on their level when they first came out. Absolute most iconic band of the 90s
Bro they where scared
I wasn't a fan until I saw them live and they blew me away
This was the song that made me a fan. I'd heard some of their songs in previous years, but when I heard this on internet radio in June 2002 I immediately went out and bought all their CDs. This song showed me they weren't "just" metal, they were creative and talented above most.
Helmet in the Bush is a cool ass song, all the weird timing in that is what sold me on them (at least the first few years)
No one talks about Dave’s snare enough! It’s literally the greatest sounding snare in music history
Deftones
He was a mediocre drummer at best
I’m a preschool teacher that rocks out with my kids on the acoustic guitar. Every time we do Nick Nack Paddywack, it always devolves into the Korn style and a kindergarten mosh pit ensues in my classroom at Carpet Time! ;)
That's awesome
Damn I wish you were my preschool teacher
That is hilarious. Best teacher ever!!!
That is fucking badass 🤘🤘
Can I come since my brain is like a kindergartner
Once you find out everything Johnathon went through, all the hell he endured, you begin to feel the full weight and pain of their songs.
Daddy is record live too he starts crying in there too
All the band members have gone through rough shit too. But yeah, definitely Jonathan is going through a lot right now
He loved the dead zoom me
Only KoRn can turn a nursery rhyme into a metal song and make it sound great.
I have been a hard core fan ever since I was 14 yrs old. I'm 43 now. The first song I heard from them was shoots and ladders. They have saved my life more than anyone. Much love ❤️🤘🖤
Same age yo we're both still here!! 🤘😎🤘 although listening to this old stuff whatever happened to songwriting where something would start quietly then just get loud. That knick Knack paddywack bit is so cathartic to get out manic energy
Yup!!... can we plz go😢back to 1997🤟🤘
Will always be a favorite of mine since my teen years.💜
P.s. 3:10-3:29 is an absolute eargasm.🎶🎶
Thanks guys for everything. I wouldn’t have found my way without your amazing music❤️
Only korn can make bagpipes metal
Ever hear of Folk Metal?
Eluveitie,.. Arkona some more perhaps
AC/DC
Yeah .... although more rock than metal,Acca Dacca did the bagpipes loooong before Korn
I saw them perform YEARS ago in South Texas and they played this song he played the bagpipes and the arena went CRAZY!!! It was one of them EPIC things I've ever witnessed and experienced
love this song, it falls right between grunge and nu metal
They were ahead of their time, unique sound, great song and full of pain.
And rage

First Korn song I ever heard over 30 years ago and I'm still hooked. Still one of their best too.
All time favorite Band. Thank you KOЯN for getting me through hard times and many great times
Babe...How'd you do that with the R???? 😮😮😮😮
@seawatersoul some hard R 🤣
I am not a huge fan of Nu-Metal, but Korn are definitely the most talented of them all!
I personally like Deftones more, try them. But Korn rock too
Connor Murray deftones is the bomb but i like korn too now some say all thats in there songs is singing bout commiting suicide but there so wrong
Serra Tree I would they are the father of Nu Metal
Connor Murray 😡😡😡😡
Is slipknot nu-metal? If so theybtake the cake
Esta banda es estupenda. Muy aparte de lo bien que suena el bajo bateria y guitarras todos los créditos para Davis y su espectacular voz! 👏👏👏
Korn é massa demais vey.
Man, was obsessed with this album back in 97 as a kid - forgot it when I got into death metal. Thought it aged a bit when I revisited it in the late 00’s, but now I remember it as I did as a 14yr old kid - amazing
this is Nu metal and it sounds like death metal i like your comment
That's shit came out in 95 bruh
i love the hidden whispered scatts behind his lyrics through the whole song.
Essa música devia ser reconhecida , pq ela é foda
I am Scottish and I approve of this song
okay
Same this is godly
Celtic Is best
@ELDANIELXDJA el nacional es mejor q el santafe
@FakeSlimShady24 mk como putas llegamos a esto de buscar una canción y terminar respondiendo un comentario random
PD: Una de las mejores canciones de Korn y del Nu Metal
Still one of the best KoRn songs ever 🤘
amigo essa musica é muito boa, nao sei pq mais eu fico mo calmo ouvindo essa belezura... parabéns para o milho por essa musica
this is my favorite song by korn its a masterpiece.
I loved it as a kid and I love it now
One of the best Korn songs ever!!!!
This is how my three year old learned her nursery rhymes.
Good thing it wasn't from Andrew dice Clay
The only way for kids to learn nursery rhymes in my opinion
🤣🤣🤣
You're a great parent
My mom’s (age 49) idea of teaching my nephews (her grandsons, ages 3 and 7) nursery rhymes is teaching them this song.
definitely one of their best songs, needs a remix that's twice as hard
This is my four year old daughters favorite song and hands down one of the greatest Korn songs ever!
I love this song.. I listen to this every day.. its part of my early morning routine.. it always gets me hyped up and ready to face the day.. gotta love KoRn.. 😍
When metal and rock bring in bagpipes, it’s just such a good choice
Gosto muito dessa banda
The bagpipes will forever remain the most metal instrument ever.
Really
AC/DC approves.
I would actually love to hear it more in metal it has a really good sound
They must've been high af.
Wait, they were.
@MericanSport dam, beat me to it, It's a long way to the top of you wanna rock and roll
My step dad introduced me to Korn in the early 2000's and this was one of the songs he would blast in the garage in the summertime. Now I'm introducing this song to my 53yr old boss, and it came out when he was nearly my age now 😅 those bagpipes go hard!
Tenia 15 años cuando escuche esta canción, KoRn marco mi infancia! 🤘😎
KoRn vale ouro slk 🤘🇧🇷
My dad played this for me when I was a baby, I still enjoy it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh....what's this? How lovely.
I'm a Scottish lady who is 84 years young and I just love finding old Scottish folk tunes on the websites.
It's so fun to find lovely music that reminds me of my time as a young lass.
Just had to comment! Time to resume this song and dream of frolicking among the highland hills....
.
o _ o
Kewl!
Whilst frolocking up there , wpuld it be fair to comment that because of your chosen frolicking arena , by being in the low lands that mwah will be in scotland before ye? :-D
How can people say this ruined nursery rymes for them... this makes it ten times better!
4real
Idd Its not like nursery rhymes were ever fun to begin with haha
Damn right son!
Ikr I don't see how they made it worst this is the song on steroids
Ellis Bernier ikr I would love to here this the moment I was born but I didn't know about them
korn is my favorite band, i grew up listening, it part of my childhood and adolescence. I hope one day I can go to a show ... it will be a band that I will take for life
I saw them in concert 2 years they opened the show with this, best concert I've ever been to they are AMAZING live
Words cannot express how much I love this song
2020.. still got the goosebumps while i listen to them. ❤
This will always be one of my favorite Korn songs 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Nursery Rhymes + Bagpipes + Hard Guitars + A Crazy Guy mumbling some words = this masterpiece!!!!
los maestros un estilo diferente
This is one of my favorite Korn songs. I saw you perform live in Słupsk, Poland and it was an amazing show. Thank you for being incredible artists.
This song was awesome live. Everyone was getting so into it lol
It still cracks me up after being a fan of Korn for over 15 years that they made a nursery rhyme metal lol.
Never gets old rock on!
Still one of my favorite albums, I'm 43 now and I still don't tire of it.
Este deberia ser el tema principal de Highlander 2. Como es que no conocía esta obra de arte?😮
Only Korn can make a song about nursery rhymes and make it work
Right, I was thinking the samething. Did anybody ever play this for their kids when they where babies or just me?
So dark and unique. No other song can compare to this song to this day.
This is the first metal song my daughter learned when she was young. 5 year's old and could sing the whole song
This song is so amazing it will never be forgotten 🤟
I love this... one of my favs by korn besides "Somebody Someone"... thank you for putting out lyrics and telling our stories with your words....
I love KoRn and saw them live at the 1996 Go Bang Fetival in my hometown Lübeck, Germany. Jonathan Davis played the bagpipes live on stage and I freaked out.
“I don’t think we’re utilizing my ability to play the bagpipes..”
“We’re a metal band, Jon. What is it you had in mind?”
“Nursery rhymes.”
**
I need more bagpipes. I have a prescription that calls for more Bagpipes
#JUSTKoRnTHINGS
You spelled KoЯn wrong
@Colin Smith how do you put the r backwards
Blocke Marckini it’s a trade secret
Saw them twice 20 something years ago!!! They still ROCK!
The sounds of my childhood !!!!clickity ,clackity, clack on that skateboard, pushing wood all day rocking out to korn 🤘🤘🤘🤘

What a classic
My brother just saw them live. He left before the encore to beat traffic on the way out. Imagine how pissed he was when outside the venue he could hear the bagpipe.
Once I researched this song, I realized how cool it was. The point of this song is to point out the dark meanings that all these nursery rhymes have. Kids sing all these happy-sounding songs, oblivious to their darker meaning. We needed a band like Korn to point out the truth
Hi whats the meaning of this nursery rhymes?
@Pumkemon well, I know Ring Around the Rosie is about the bubonic plague. I don't know about the rest of them
@Christopher Bingham London Bridge is about a viking raid, I think.
@Smoking Man london bridge actually is about great fire of London that happened in 17th century
Después de lo de Nirvana Korn fue la sensación en el 94 se fue la etapa Grunge y dio inicio al Nu-Metal..😎🖤🔥🎵🎶🇵🇪🤘🏻
Seeing them live anytime between 1994-1999 would have been the creation of a core memory, god DAMN the live footage in this video looks incredible.
I love this it's like something from my own head of weirdness . I had some friends in a band that did if you're happy and you know it, in the same kinda style as shoots and ladders , I just let loose let myself go all the way when I hear it , I am the definition of happy happy joy joy when stomping it out to some twisted nursery rhymes ..
Still give me the chill bumps and butterflies. KORN4life
Korn has always been awesome to me
i remember i was around 11 years old when i got this album. I would literally listen to it over and over for hours.
KoRn was on my mind all day every day, i couldn't wait till i got home from school and listen to it.
yes! I got the album at nine . . . LOL! haha its def. the best
:)
This, Slipknot and rob zombie was all I listened to in 7th grade (around 12). I'm a junior in high school now and thought I'd revisit my angrier days.
Same with me , are you still alive
That’s me right now. I can’t get Korn off the brain!
That's me in school though
Absolutly love this band fav band of alltime you guys saved my life with ur music back in 2001 i was in a deep place and ur music made me feel i wasnt alone love you guys for life dont ever stop rocking and cant wait to see you guys live again
Love him he’s brilliant ❤
I remember watching this as a kid. Still think it's a masterpiece
Saw them last weekend and they finished with this song. That bagpipe was the LOUDEST sound I’d ever heard in my LIFE. My gf actually had her hands over her ears lol it was like all consuming and too loud but still an awesome moment
4 anios sin escuchar este tema. Sigue siendo brutal.
My 7 year old daughter loves this song she asks me to play this for her all the time
Yes teach her 🤘🤘korn is....🔥
Teach em young
good
My 5 year old is currently obsessed with it too lol
1
This song never gets old
fax
ive Heard this now about 40 Times IT still is amazing
Goosebumps at 3:10
Always in My heart , soul and blood. XD love it to the bones
The first minute of this song makes me want to get ready for battle out on a battlefield.
Actually, I am kind of glad Korn doesn't normally play on the radio. It is what makes it rare, unique and so out of the box. And in today's world it takes a very special few to realize that. So when you meet someone else that loves korn you know they found them, they didn't just hear them.
edgy
+donna roberts hey fellow fan of KoRn in AZ. 98kupd does play a lot of KoRn. I ♡ this song. it amps me up. who'd of thunk a nursery rhyme would get a mosh pit going. \m/
exactly... I've always loved Korn since I was a little girl. thanks to my mother.
I met a guy in my school a few days ago who commented on my Korn shirt. There's really nobody in my school who listens to rock or metal of any kind, so it was awesome talking to this guy about Korn.
My Algebra teacher from last year knows about Korn too, actually. Every band I've named to him, he's heard of before. Definitely one of my favorite teachers.
This is the first song I EVER remember listening to. I was about maybe 3-5 years old jumping up and down thrashing on the bed and I discovered a lighter, put it to one of my fingers and discovered how much fire burns.
I was barely 18 years old and they were on tour in germany (for the first time i guess); none of my few friends understood what i loved about this band, so i went all by myself to their concert in munich, germany, taking place in a small but locally renowned hall made of corrugated iron. it was their only gig in germany and being alone i came to talk to kornfans from various parts of germany, people that had taken rides several hours long to be part of a concert in a hall for a few hundred people. I came to talk to a women from munich around her thirties, who had just gone to the concert, cause she regularly went to this hall, when bands played she didn't know. when john got his bagpipes out and played the intro to shoots and ladders literally her jaw dropped...last i saw of her, had to go to the moshpit...what a night
As a child this was my favourite song . I had no idea from whom it was or what is this . Now I am 35 !!
Only KoRn can make a nursery rhymes song sound sooooooo good
This used to be my wake up song for so long lol the opening always gets me going.
this just gets better and better the more you listen to it
Get addicted to it
I'm addicted to the end of this song
@Merci-Ann Behner and beginning
This is my favorite band ever. I've been listening to them since out of the cooch I love them sm
=
It's 2021, this is what I grew up listening to.... I just realized I had the coolest childhood. This is still sick AF.
Korn, forever in my heart.
