- In this episode, we learn how to navigate through the viewport, adjust camera movement speed, and add primitive shapes like cubes. Gain an overview of the interface elements including Outliner and Details tab, and explore transformations such as transform, rotation, scaling, and snapping. We will also go through the Content Drawer, creating folders, and saving your work. Then, we show you how to create a basic level, and use items from the starter content to create a scene with fire and smoke.

Oh my God, the tutorial series I've been waiting for since ages. I wanted to learn unreal engine for animations couple of years ago but couldn't work with it because of lack of the tutorials and guides, i think this will be possible now Thanks to you guys for that. I really wanted to learn about cloth physics, i hope you guys also covered it in this series. You nailed every basic step in this tutorial ngl i've been learning UE from past few days but didn't knew about these basic steps properly, you guys explain things clearly and in creative way keep this spirit up. Creating tutorials like these takes a lot of time and energy for that i THANK YOU guys again. 🙏

BTW, the middle mouse panning can also be done by clicking and holding LMB while already holding RMB. Loving the Tutorial so far.
I've been using Fusion and Blender for some goofy (but very complex and sometimes advanced) VFX. Looking at this, it definitely looks like something I could do.
Switching between so many sets of shortcuts could get a bit tedious, though. I already have to readjust between Fusion's 3D controls and Blender's each time.

32:30 Is the fire basically a PNG image sequence? I mean, is it just video frames being projected onto flat planes with transparency, or is it actually 3D?

Note (15:00): You can cycle through the transform gizmo modes (i.e., position, rotation, and scale) by pressing the space bar instead of memorizing W, E, & R.

@Bad Decisions Studio just a reminder if you hold "RMB + Mouse Wheel" that will also change your camera speed, You may have found this out later on in your Tutorials.

At 32:31 when I insert the fire, it doesn't show the fire. However, if I hit the play button then the fire shows. I hit ESC and the fire is gone. I am following step by step. Any help?

8:36 When I spawned the cube I didn't get the 3 arrows, i got 3 rotational wheels
I have oceans and mountains and my ground is sand color not checkered gray. I also get a rotating widget and not an arrow.

can i follow same using Unreal Engine 4. Its bec i currently have GTX 1650 and 8GB RAM.
There might be a couple features that are missing. You might need to find a workaround for some stuff.
WASD movement is turned off for me by default. where do i turn it on?
edit: for anyone else wondering, you need to go to edit on the top>editor preferences>scroll down to view ports>flight camera control type to change it
