This pinned comment is where you can leave suggestions/things you want to see in future versions of EasyRain! Would love to hear what you guys would like to have/how things could be improved.
Dude, all your plugins are made so professionally and easy to use and when I was watching your video I was like: "Oh this would cost like 200$, or smth..." But it actually costs only 20$ for artists to use. I just wanted to say a big thank you for your work towards the community and THANKS for helping artists!
“I just finished my film after using the ‘Easy Snow’ plugin for 4 months. Now, I have a lot of ideas for ‘Easy Rain.’ Thanks, William, for the inspiration!”🎉
Your stuff is constantly high quality, as someone who has made rain many many MANY times since unreal 4.11 this is absolutely the way to do it and all wrapped in a convenient system, awesome!
Honestly, now the time has come to raise you up to the sky, William! I am really following your work and your tutorials for a very very long time now and what I especially love is your passion and your approach to always create great stuff for using UE as magical realtime 3D tool for filmmakers. Keep on going! Best!
These addons for Unreal under the "easy" tagline are one of, if not the most useful and powerful plugins I have ever bore witness to in the unreal engine cinematics space. Their straightforward and open-ended nature make them a must have for every single one of my scenes, and I couldn't imagine creating a scene without using them in some capacity. I had high hopes that an easy rain addon would be created, and my prayers were answered in spades! My hopes for the future now only consist of an easy leaves and an easy birds plugin, and then the perfect ensemble of Unreal Engine cinematic enhancers will finally be in our grasp. Your contributions to my and many others scenes have been indispensable, and for that, I must provide my everlasting thanks!
Thank you! You’re too kind! For whats its worth, you COULD edit the EasySnow niagara system to add your own custom leaf meshes, as the snow physics would behave the same way leaves would, roughly. Worth a try ;)
I don't know why, but I feel a deep sense of respect and admiration for this guy. I own all of his assets and am very satisfied with the result. Thank you!
Thank you William for all your uploads and plugins. Purchased everything you have on FAB /UE marketplace. Your tutorials helped me to get into RealityCapture a year ago, I made some really nice 3d scans and renderings of local objects and buildings since, and now I'm about to start my own 3D buisness after 20 years of hobby design. Thank you so much, without your help I wouldn't be where I am now! 👍
Thank you so much not just for this video, and the product itself, but also for the more than reasonable price tag. Being set during a storm is major plot point of my game and you just saved me weeks, maybe months of work. Amazing.
that looks gorgeous! and not only the rain, but the fog, snow plugins as well! gonna buy them all! can't tell how much I appreciate quality plugins like this :)
I will happily support anything that you create, bud. Your tutorials have always been inspirational and these plugins are both awesome and incredibly accessible. Fantastic work.
Thank so much for not only taking the effort to making this but to make it affordable for people like me who might be on a tight spot atm. You are amazing! Thx!
@@WilliamFaucher So it's specifically a problem with adding a "Wet_weather_effects" node to a material (such as concrete) in combination with UDS weather rain. For the record, I did this in both versions of 5.5 and I can't figure out why, considering I did this in 5.3 and 5.4. It's probably my limited knowledge of 5.5. But basically in the viewport it would look perfect and as intended and when I go to render it's good for a few frames and then instantly turns the level into an ocean, its soooo much water. I'm also just using Lumen w/ megalights so I really doubt it's because of those 2 things. Also, changing the value of the rain to the smallest value that isn't 0 does nothing lol I hope that helps, I can send screenshots (somehow) if you a really curious! (Btw, I have your entire Easy product line so far!)
@@xinnabon Oh weird, I've seen this issue somewhere on Reddit too, you're not alone. It sounds like a bug honestly, and the developer is likely to fix it in an update, especially if it works fine in 5.4! I doubt you're doing something wrong!
@@WilliamFaucher thats reassuring at least haha It's honestly so hard to tell what is me and what is the engine sometimes LOL Only thing is I can't finish my scene but maybe now with EasyRain I can ;) Thanks for everything you do for the community William!
Fantastic as always, William! So much love on this one too. My suggestion for updates is bringing something where we can draw with splines to make water drip from correct corners and edges shapes, also flooding tools, small waterfalls drop for high surfaces, imagine a down hill street, where the water is going down.
Wow amazing work this look great. Thanks for the explanation video, it's nice that you took a moment to explain the blueprint and material process. For 19.99 this is a no brainer for any small team that do not want to invest (time and money) in their own solution. Thumbs up!
Hey this looks awesome, I spent many hours last year creating this very thing for a project, at only $19.99 this is well worth the money and would have saved me hours. Thanks, looks great
Mr. Faucher this is outstanding tutorial and solves many issues especially when i use ultra dynamic sky this is a lot more to the point and simple to follow. Thank you Sir. Oh yes I did just purchase cant wait to try it out
I have no intention of ever using this because I don't know the first thing about UE5, it just cropped up in my suggestions... so maybe I will! This is amazing and I genuinely appreciate people like you.
These settings seem very useful specifically for tuning heavy rain to look good as well IMO. I don’t always want to have perfect looking light rain. Thanks for the vid bro 👊🏽
At first I thought this was going to be another one of those highly realistic, but extremely expensive assets, but I don't think I've ever seen a price thats this fair. Honestly a steal, thanks for making this, and making it affordable.
I dont use UE at all but this channel is just too good that I have to sit and watch the vids. Maybe I will have to take the dive into it and start making things
You are amazing William! I own all of your assets from the marketplace and am glad to pick this one up within an hour of your launch! Been following your channel since the lighting unreal challenge and have learned so much about making my scenes cinematic and how to dial in realistic lighting. A million thanks!
@@WilliamFaucher I will! My showreel is gonna be so much better now. This coming out today actually inspired me to update it pretty much in real time. Again, many thanks!
Oh dude! This looks gorgeous! I made my own rain tutorial and already built a functional system in my game, but I'll definitely be using your system in the future :)
This looks amazing, Will! I can't count the amount of times I could've used something like this in the past. I've delivered rain shots that ended up in theatres that didn't look even half as good as this 😄Fantastic job!
this was enjoyable to watch, and I will never be using any of these tools in the forseeable future. but the video quality was exceptional and i really enjoyed your explanations of your software!
Mannn I will give myself a christmas present and buy all your unreal plugins.. all of them... amazing!!! time to get back into unrela in 2025.. than you mate!
It's truly amazing! Just like your other suffs. Your content alwayís makes me feel i wanna go back and continue my Unreal world. I stopped using UE at the beginning of 2023
That's amazing! I have been trying to write a backlit rain shader for a while and could never figure it out: can't wait to look into the shader and see how that was done so I could do the same thing for my fog cards!
Love everytime you drop a video =) Btw, backllighting and glimers is nice, because there are a lot of cases when rain in UE games (even in high-budget AAA games) looks like it was added on top as overlay texture, and looks fake, when in dark scenes you have those repiting white streaks. Your implementation not only takes into account problems with color, but also makes sprites/direction of rain-drops more random and natural.
This pinned comment is where you can leave suggestions/things you want to see in future versions of EasyRain! Would love to hear what you guys would like to have/how things could be improved.
Awesome! Will 100% be using this on my short film - is there a black friday sale incoming on your Fab products?
Looks great. Does it support pathtracer and substrate materials?
@@TheArtofme I would love to know this as well....
@ pathtracer yes. Substrate no.

Hahah thanks so much!
The same
Ditto. Didn't even watch the video first. Thank you William for all of your hard work.
Exactly that, I will support this man in anything he does. He's a blessing for all of us!

It's too realistic 😮
Yeah. This will be in 100% of all Unreal Artist toolbags out there. Great work!

Yeah, Easy Birds! That would be a nice asset - some bird silhouettes in the distant would make nearly every scene more vivid and life-like!
The facts that this is only $20 is insane for how good of a tool this is
At first I didn't understand why it was needed if there was already UDS, but there are so many improvements here that it's worth every dollar, thanks!
nice timing.. it rains on November
literally watching this while it's raining outside of my house
Also the new 5.5 local fog volumes will fit to this 😊
@estate0007 I didn't even remember that until you mentioned it.. too many features in UE vs my small brain capacity..
