OMG, I haven't been able to close my right hand in months! In less than 3 minutes of doing your exercises my hand will now close about 98% all the way! I was getting ready to schedule an appointment with a surgeon. Thanks so much, I'll keep doing them and see what happens. Still hurts but I can at least almost close my hand.

Hey Gary! I cannot thank you enough. I damaged a joint in one of my fingers i a climbing accident. Guitar playing was always hindered. Ever since I've found your videos I've managed to work with my damaged joint and with your help it feels incredible! I went a whole year without being able to really play guitar to my fullest. A few weeks after watching your stuff and my hand feels great, better than before!

Whoa Gary, you're a genius! That advice was just what I needed. I'm recovering from a 2nd degree burn on my stomach and thighs and naturally my sleeping pattern has changed hence contributing to the tension in my shoulder, which in turn made my fingers numb. ( I thought the world was closing in on me) Thank you, thank you , thank you :D

I play and teach piano, guitar and violin and my left index knuckle was hurting a little,(perhaps using it too much) I found your two videos on knuckle pain release. Thank you it helps so much. I know how to stretch it out and release it. I may even pass some of those ideas to my adult clients.

Today I couldn't sleep almost the whole night. I had a terrible pain in my ring finger of the left hand. I couldn't even move or touch it. Then in the middle of the night I started searching in internet to find any info about it. I found one which said use ibuprofen to ease the pain. Certainly I did and at the same time I used paracetamol as painkiller. Still the pain was much and you can't believe; I applied some honey on my finger and slept nicely)). Still now in the morning, I hardly touch my finger, no pain but it hurts when I touch and the pain starts again. I found this video, which I hope will help me a lot. Thank you DOCTOR.
I suspect the bad pain in my ring finger is because I used a mobile phone a lot these last days and all the time it was in my left hand. Maybe this is the reason!? I don't know.

holy cow, under collar bone I'd have never found this on my own, we're talking finger joint pain [piano player]. Hey I've been playing these Electronic Keyboards and the keys aren't weighted, this should cause problems in anyone whose playing with gusto. My arms hurt and ache, my new board with semi-weighted keys released my arms a lot I understood it from your teaching but I still suffer, diet and Magnesium help, avoiding sugar - but the fix when it's needed is right here, thank you!

Here's one for you. I injured my big, right middle knuckle by using a tens unit. I had the electrodes on the top of forearm, belly of forearm, and on the sides of my wrist. I was trying to turn it down a notch, but I couldn't see what I was doing since I didn't have my glasses on. Rather than turning it down, I turned it WAY up. The pain travelled from the top of forearm to my knuckle. It is red and swollen, sensitive to the touch--sort of like touching a burn. Doctors are clueless. I was denied physical therapy. But I can no longer bend that finger down all the way. I figure I probably have some type of nerve damage, but ZERO tests have ever been done. Orthopedic doc said he had never even heard of someone getting injured with a tens unit. What can I do to alleviate the pain and inflammation, get my range of motion back?

      +Sharon Rinkiewicz
      Hi Sharon,
I would think the techniques I show in these videos (all on one page, for free, here, www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/finger-joint-pain-relief.html )
I would want to really get into your forearm muscles to free them as much as possible, so you might have a friend press their thumbs into the tissue while you do the "press hold move" that I show.
Also, you could consider this free page,
      www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/wrist-pain-relief-tool.html
where I show you how to build a tool to get into those deep forearm muscles.
I would imagine the muscles that were affected by the tens unit were already very tight, otherwise I don't know why that would happen.
      Hope this helps.
      All the best,
      Gary Crowley

Gary, thank you so much for your videos. I sincerely appreciate it. I have lot of finger pain but not sure what category it falls under. I use my laptop keyboard a lot and I usually use it aggressively, as in banging the keys! :-) As a result after a few hours on laptop, my fingers get pretty much tired and extremely painful. And I can't work anymore. What technique should I really adopt in this case? I am not sure it is the joint pain you mentioned in part 1, but please feel free to correct me. Looking forward to your response.

      Krishna R Hi Krishna,
If you go to my free website, www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/
and go through the Finger Pain, Hand Pain, and Wrist Pain pages you should be able to find all the inappropriately tight tissue that needs to be released to help you. That said, as you already know, changing the way you work at the computer would be a great strategy as well. You may be happy when you are an old man like me, that you changed your computer habits while you were young, haha!

Hi Gary Crowley, I've pain in finger joints and feel difficult while i try to straight them. this only happens in morning when i wake up. in half hour after i wake up, no pain and stretch. it started happening after i did some heavy work at home. Appreciate if you can share some exercise for it. thanks

    • @garycrowley1

Sounds like it may be that you hands and forearms need to be released. I'd go to my free Hand Pain page here, www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/hand-pain-relief.html and see if that helps.
      Best,
      Gary

Hi, any suggestions for very stiff hand/fingers and contactured elbow after rotator cuff tear & bicep tendon repair? 4mos post op and my fingers are still very stiff. need some at home exercises. I do PT twice a week but they have yet to assist me with my fingers stating they can only work on 1 body part at a time, which is my shoulder & biceps of course.

My free website www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/ has videos and text for every joint in your body. I'd recommend you do the Hand Pain videos and the shoulder videos. I think they will provide different things than your PT is providing.

How do u find tight tishu

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  9 років тому

      Hi Sharona,
I show you this in my Assessing Tight Tissue video here, www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/joint-pain-relief-techniques.html#Assess
But basically, tight tissue is painful when you press into it, AND tight tissue doesn't have much "give", it's not supple, it's more ropey and stiff than healthy tissue.
I think the video explains it better, so I hope you give it a look.
      All the best,
      Gary Crowley
