    THANK YOU so much for making this amazingly helpful video-- VERY appreciated!!! My thumb is feeling better and better-- and I'm *hopeful* (contrary to how I felt looking at 'regular doctor' website for thenar prominence pain!!!! ;-)).

    oh geez, I found that nickel spot on the upper arm AND the one at my elbow. I ran a Daycare, toddler lifting, 5 of them, 5 days a week for 8 YRS. Just retired that biz a year ago...oh wow, I am having muscle-nerve-joint-epiphanies all over the place. I was being all "gentle" with myself...NO MORE. Thank you, Gary!! :)

    I just discovered your videos this morning. Have had neck problems for years and in the last several months had increased pain in my thumbs after crocheting again. Anyway, you are a gift and can't thank you enough for your sharing your knowledge. Can't believe how much better I feel after 1 morning. Already shared your web site with others before making a comment. THANK YOU!!

Glutton for punishment I guess! Anyhow I am glad my husband loves me because he found you for me! Just started tonight and will keep on releasing those muscles😂😂 will also pass you on to my son who is experiencing shoulder pain. You dear man are a giver not a taker! May God bless you!

    OMG! Thank you so much for this video! I didn't realize how tight my arm and shoulder muscles were. This helped with my thumb pad pain I must have a blocked nerve or tight muscle . I get tingling on my face also. Ever hear of this? I've gone to doc and ER 3 times. Not a stroke. Not shingles. Not diabetic. Blood pressure is fine. I'm convinced is from a pinched nerve or tight muscle. Thanks.

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  10 років тому

      Hi Lissbia,
      I'm very glad to hear my videos helped you. Thanks for commenting. For your face tingling it sounds like you maybe, and only "maybe", have Trigeminal neuralgia. The only thing you can do yourself is make sure all the soft-tissue in your Jaw, neck, base of your skull are as free as possible. You cannot get at the trigeminal nerve with your fingers but if you make sure that everything possible around it is free, then it may help. And it may not be Trigeminal neuralgia, so you may want to ask your MD.
      Best,
      Gary Crowley

    Mr. Crowley those exercises helped a lot for my thumb. I have constant pain in the joint area and stiffness as well. You can actually hear a slight popping noise when I do range of motion with that thumb. Do you think I will need surgery at some point? Those exercises loosened it up a lot though. Thanks.

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  9 років тому

      +handiable
      Well, if you can free it enough that there is no pain, the odds of you needing surgery should be greatly reduced, since there will be less wear and tear on the joint. The same applies if you do regular work on it to keep it free. Hopefully, you can avoid surgery that way. I'd let the pain be your guide. When you can't fix it anymore, then start investigating more extreme options.
      Best,
      Gary Crowley

    I am a caretaker who helps my two sisters take care of our mother who had stroke and is trying to recover. I hurt my left thumb while w were trying to pull her up in bed, thus the joint got stuck. I wore a brace on it for a while, now I can't beed without it hurting and now I have done the same thing to the right thumb. If I use your steps where do I start.

      Hi Marie,
      Sorry about the thumb. Start at Video 1 and just go through them in order. On my free website they are all on one page here, www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/thumb-joint-pain-relief.html
      I think you'll be able to do a lot to help yourself.

    finally i think this might heal my ssharp sore thumbpad! it shoots pain up to my elbow with certain moves, and i just found an almost ball shaped tender patch on my inside elbow.. but sometimes it shoots pain all the way down. should i keep at it. also i did ice before is that bad?

    • @stuffstuffstuffyay
      @stuffstuffstuffyay 7 років тому

      i got my soreness from ipad btw. This is day 5.

    • @garycrowley1
      @garycrowley1  7 років тому +1

      Keep at it, but also find and release the other tight areas I have you investigate. Keep up the good work!
      Also, I wouldn't ice before you work on it. You can ice after, but doing it before may impede your progress.
      Best,
      Gary C.
