I like to think that we (Mankind) can eventually evolve past religious beliefs, past believing in things that are not evidently true. I think we are seeing that now. Slowly but surely the people of modernity are discarding the beliefs of Mankind's pre-scientific infancy. I agree with Hitchens. Religion poisons everything. It causes, and has caused, so much division, hatred and strife. If we could all start living for today, the world would be a better place.
