For those curious, technically speaking, it's fine to wash electronics if it's distilled water - the ions in tap water are what cause corrosion because they conduct electricity. Distilled water conducts close to none. However, it can easily become contaminated with ions (like from the salt on our hands), so I would still avoid it. A high % ethyl alcohol is definitely the better option.
It's actually ok (a lot of repair shops are doing this weird practice) except for batteries, just make sure after you doing it don't let any water leftover exist. It must be very very dry.
What type of paint do you use? Is Acrylic or Lacquer Paint safe? A lot of websites suggest I use Acrylic paint but most spray paint bottles give’s flammable warnings, and a lot of websites say that it will become combustible once it dries, has it effected the temperature in anyway? What if its just a bit of paint?
if you put it in direct sunlight you have to wait until the sun sets & with heat gun it takes about an hour. remember to keep distance between heat gun and board of about 8 to 10 inches, also remover MB cell or battery before washing (if any)
no primer on the plastic? pffff and the paintjob looks terrible! first coat it with primer 1 or 2 layers depending how much scratches u can still see...than sand it again...than spray the color on....in a dust free room! damn its looking worse after than before the paint all the dust in the paint...and here is a tip throw the spray can in a bucket of hot water....the paint will be warm and spray much better on the surface
In this video I restored an abandoned laptop, don’t forget to watch my other videos. see you all soon.

no its water
alcohol dont suds.
I think that washing the board in water and not good for the motherboard would be enough to clean it with alcohol and a cloth
