      That works too! I just tried it. But if you look at my reply on the thread. I put 3 hardware style options on there. I’m using one now and am considering a different option due to “Lego stacking” parts. God bless gaffers tape.

      The DJI Mic 2 just got a fix for Sony users having digital signal noise issues (the problem is in the cable). The device is a hotshoe. This new audio adapter takes your DJI Mic 2 Rx and seamlessly integrates via that hot-shoe with your Sony camera. Check DJI Mic 2 Sony Audio PROBLEM FIXED

    The noise reduction is useful when you're live streaming where it isn't possible to remove the background noise in post.

    The issue I'm facing with mine is that I shoot with an iPhone and the receiver is plugged directly into my iPhone but at times the audio doesn't sync and it uses the iPhone's built in mics instead of the receiver.. The only way around this was to always unplug and plug in the receiver every time before I start shooting. Anyone else facing this issue? So annoying

    My Mic 2 and MI adapter arrived this weekend. My FX30's top cage completely blocks it, so at first, I designed a simple 3D printed adapter plate to mount the Tilta top cage further forwards. Unfortunately, the front of the cage goes way too far forward, so it wouldn't work. Then I integrated a NATO rail into it, and it's basically a top cage for an FX30/FX3! Did some testing with PLA and it needs someone to really want to break it to break it. Gonna try it in some Carbon Fibre plastic, but ultimately, I'd love Smallrig or Tilta to make one themselves.

    1. Cold Shoe - not removable anymore, won't clip, and will fall off like in 09:15
    2. USB-C or Lightning Adapter - too short, won't insert if you have a phone case.

    Hi, recently I bought a DJI Mic 2 and I'm very disappointed because the only way to make the standalone recordings usable is to set the TX gain to +12dB, but they still have to be boosted a lot in post.
    I turned off the Low pass filter, I tried 32 and 24 bits, I tried everything but the records are still very quiet when I put the TX on my chest.

    Great video! I use Sennheiser G3 and G4 wireless mics for weddings and interviews and they work fine...almost all the time...but I have been thinking I would like something that can also record internally in case I get radio interferance and I came across this DJI Mic 2-I would get a lavalier mic for it too- so that I can record audio wirelessly in my Sony FX30 and also have a good quality audio file in the transmitter..you seem to like it-some other reviewers not so much. I distrust sponsored reviews. Yours seems to be independent. anyway is this the best budget transmitter -recorder/ receiver available today as of November 2024? Is Rode any better? I listened to your audio test and it sounded acceptable-a good lav might help for sure-I will not activate noise reduction at all and do it all in post-how is the actual wireless transmission? clean? as good as with something like my Sennheisser G3/4? which lavalier will work best with this DJI mic 2 and finally, are the competitors any better? Like Rode and Deity? Thanks for the help. PS I know the Zoom F2 and the tascam Dr 10L pro are good recorders but not transmitters)

    Overall a great system but a few things need to improve:
    - TX automatically goes into record when powering on. I'd like to have an option to turn this feature off.
    - No visual indication on the RX display when the TX Lo Cut filter is ON
    - The new MI Shoe Adapter is working great with Sony FX6 but not the Sony FX9, not sure why...
    - Although not an issue in post, the audio delay while monitoring is a bit annoying and a bit offsetting.

On a forum DJI support suggests going into a store and asking to use a receiver to change settings on the standalone mic.

      @@ac1320 Oh wow, that seems like a major oversight from DJI, I hope this is fixable in software. That's also a strange decision to disable internal recording with BT as BT signal is much worse than the wireless system they use, that is disappointing to hear.

      @@DigiDriftZone yeah 100% agree. The support agent says they’re working on it. Haven’t followed up but I would think just aggregate to existing app. But I’m no engineer or anything so I’m talking out my butt on this.

      There's no app like you get with the Rode Wireless Go products. The DJI app is basically just a link to the DJI store.

    • @DigiDriftZone
      @DigiDriftZone 9 місяців тому

      @@adventurepromo I hope this is something that changes, it's nice the Rode have an app, but it does require a physical connection the phone. DJI should hopefully be able to do this over bluetooth since the Rode doesn't have bluetooth.

    A solution you could use to keep the receiver in place is to use a locking cold shoe mount.

    My biggest gripe with this system is the amount of drift you get when recording to the transmitter. It's pretty much unusable for long-form content.

      Yes you can, but in my testing the audio over BT is not as "crispy" as using the receiver mounted/connected to the phone.

    Here’s a quick fix to your cold shoe receiver problem
    Wrap 4 of these small black rubber bands around the receiver thingy, and when you slide it in the cold shoe, it will be snug and it doesn’t interfere when you put it back in the charging case

    I'm totally a noob. Does a Lav mic mean you are using 2 mics at once?

    • @kylemeshna
      @kylemeshna  4 місяці тому +1

      No. The lav mic connects to the DJI transmitter, so you’re recording audio on the lav mic into the transmitter and the transmitter can also send to the receiver
