I'm doing basically the same thing your doing, putting a 5.7 in a e body barracuda with the a833. can you do a video of the specifics of installing a manual harness from the 05,-08 truck/car hemi into a old school mopar? the whiteboard is kind of hard to understand, could you do a video of the actual harness, with the modifications, and items needed to run that application? If not, could you message me with what I need. thanks again for your time.

So i need to run the cable drive accelerator pedal with this setup? and the throttle postition sensor will plug into the throttle body correct?

This is great info but everyone on youtube that makes a similar video is leaving out one small but crucial piece of info. The bellcrank wiring to the harness meant for a drive by wire pedal, it gets mentioned but never shown. Is the wiring for the pedal on a standalone harness spliced and the wiring for the Mercedes/04 dodge APPS spliced on to the standalone harness? How is this done what wires go where? Then what wires connect to the electronic throttle body and how does this new set up engage the throttle. Not being rude but very large piece of the puzzle left out here that would be very helpful.

So the ECU harness plug that would plug into the drive by wire gas pedal, Will be plugged into this bell crank box INSTEAD of the drive by wire pedal??

there is another dude on the interweb that made the throttle body actually worked by a throttle cable. with an endurance race car, should i be doing that or what you guys are doing?
Anyone know what electrical plug gets plugged into this bell crank sensor box? Possibly the electrical plug that was supposed to go to the drive by wire pedal ??? Appreciate any help here, thank you!!!
Finally some info... My APPS is shot on my '03 and mechanic said I need to replace the entire pedal assembly because that's where the sensor is which isn't true.
Do you have the part#'s for the part itself? OEM and Mercedes?
I don’t have the part number off hand but they can be had on rockauto for a fair price. Note many 03’s had faulty ones that failed. Get another from 04 on and you should be good

ok help me out what does the kick down do? whats the purpose of it??
Makes your transmission shift down aka kickdown a gear when you accelerated hard because if you accelerated heavily in 3/4 they cannot take the torque or power as well as 2nd can so if your in third and gas it hard it puts you in 2nd until it shifts again
I’m using a 727, will I need the kick down cable? Or do I just need the black box and gas pedal? (2016 Ram 5.7)
You will need a kick down cable unless you install a manual valve body

Which cable are you trying to locate? If it’s your vehicle, what is the vehicle? Most cars run a little different

What about the difference in the wiring harness since it’s CAN bus. Is there a way I can diy that harness to work with my 02 durango?
New Mexico Sports Academy NMSA I’m sure you could. It just takes a little time and creativity. All can functions would need an immulator
to run gauges. Or you can use CAN gauges

We aren't sure what you mean by that. All hemi engines have an electronic throttle. It's up to you if you want to use a bellcrank sensor or regular electronic pedal
Ok. So if I use the regular electric pedal with this set up, where does the rest/cable connect to up top of the motor? Sorry I'm a little confused. I was looking for another video of yours to see the mounting and hook up, at the engine.
Also just bought your thermostat spacer w/2 ports. Great idea. I'm trying to help a friend use his 727 with the Gen 3 hemi. Only issue I am having is the kick down for the 727. I still want to use the drive-by wire pedal. So I'm not sure how to do that unless he converts to a manual valve body...I was hoping to use your bellcrank set up but confused where the rest gets hooked up to the pedal or harness somewhere...
The bellcrank gets hooked up to the TV or kickdown lever on the transmission. The original cable that is with the 03/04 box gets connected to the original gas pedal in the car
one cable goes to the transmission kickdown lever, one cable goes to the gas pedal inside the car
How the hell do you get the box off the truck
It's bolted to the bottom of the battery/fuse box tray. And at the firewall, pull the clip off the inside and it should pull the retainer clip right out. Good luck!
These pieces of crap go out all the time I would suggest buying a new one I have been through two used ones in my Ram 1500 in the past 3 months
Geoffrey B the earlier 2003 ones do go out frequently, you are correct. They revised the design for 2004. Also look into Mercedes SUV as they use the updated sensor
I just had mine rebuilt with the upgrades required less than a year ago. I’m trying to use this one
so not easy at all
