  • Hey Guys! In this video, Blake is discussing ECM (Engine Control Module) differences (NGC and GPEC) between different year Cars and Trucks with the hemi motors. We have our hands on a unicorn ECM for anyone running a manual (aren't we all??? I won't judge...) and which vehicle to find them in. Also some new changes with the later model ECMs from Chrysler and how to make your OEM harness work with a later model GPEC ECM. Lots of good info on this one that we hope can help you guys.     Tips:
    1. Cars running NAG1 (autos) will have a seperate TCM (transmission control module) and not plug into the ECM
    2. 2011-2014 GPEC ECMs needs SKIM removed and CAN bus SSR (starter signal replicator) module installed. But comes unlocked for tuning (if needed, see below).
    3. 2015 and on GPEC ECMs are the same as the 2011 to 2014 in terms of SKIM and CAN bus SSR, but comes locked for any tuning. (see below for more details).
    4. New Mopar Crate GPEC ECMs don't need to run SKIM or Canbus bypass, but still need to be unlocked IF tuning is required. No tuning required for stock motors, you only need them once you get some performance upgrades.

    hey there, this is Julio From a Mopar club in Brazil, howdy? I have just discovered your channel, congrats of what you have been doing. I am swapping the 5.7 hemi from a 06 Commander to my 68 Dodgae dart, i have watched you expanning about the 2003/04 ecm swap, is there anything especific for the 06 or should i consider all the same tips?

    Hello DIY Hemi, I’m looking for info on a 2nd Gen Dodge Ram - Hemi Swap, no not everything. Just electrical questions. I have an 09 SRT M6 Donor Car to use for the swap but I planned on using the Holley Terminator for wiring/ECU. With the stock harness, it’s designed to run in obviously a Challenger with a TR6060, what would be necessary to make that harness work on a 46RE

    hey, i got a harness from a 08 hemi ram. there is no C3 plug. no cutting has been done to the harness. just didnt have a white/C3 connector. what do i have to get to make that work? thanks

    I would like to swap a Gen 4 hemi into my Gen 3 swapped vehicle.. I know i can change reluctor rings to Gen 3, block off the VVT cam phaser... but what complications would there be swapping all of the other sensors over to work with my Gen 3 computer.. do the other sensors like thread up correctly so they'd work with the PCM? Other than sensor inputs I don't see any real issues. I have a 5.7 in my 03 Rubicon, but really want more cubic inches (426) for torque-

    Can a 2014 ram 5.7 engine and transmission be installed in a 2007 5.7 ram. I have a complete donor 2014 truck to use in order to put my 2007 back on the road

    I installed a 5.7 in my 70 Cuda with the 545rfe transmission and can’t seem to find a system to run transmission. Any input would be appreciated

    2003 - 2005 rams had a different PCM, less memory, less tunable.

    I hate the gpec connectors. The stupid plastic pieces on each side like to get stuck.
