    Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to remove and replace the alternator on Audi TT with 1.8 Turbo engine Front Wheel Drive. We demonstrated on a 2003 model Audi TT 1.8t. We have another video that shows how to diagnose if you have a bad alternator. It is not very complicated procedure to replace the alternator just make sure that you disconnect the battery before the repair. It might even help on VW Golf 1.8, GTI 1.8, Beetle 1.8, Jetta / Bora 1.8.

    I just did this job on my TT. I watched your video. Thanks for the info. I have a couple of tips. Use a bungee cord and tie back the large rubber hose out of the way. Also remove the nuts on both sides of the dipstick and move those hoses to the right for more wiggle room.

    Disconnected the battery by the NEGATIVE FIRST. Not postitve first as it can push a current around the circuits that can damage the electrical systems. On reconnecting a battery ensure negative is connected last.

    I have a 2003 a4 quattro 1.8l and it took me 25 minutes to remove and replace my alternator easiest ever
