Every time I hear those god forsaken noisemaker balloons I have a stroke cause all I can think about is a cozy camper, bazaar bargain using, party hat wearing sniper just spinning in circles on a control point, it's like trees branches cracking to a nam veteran.

whenever i hear ANY noise maker that isn't birthday or smissmas i immediately know there's a cheater/bot on the server. somehow they found a way to use them infinitely.

The vuvuzela is missing a non-stop spam of; "Good shot, mate!", "Nice shot, mate!"

Fragment fans in medieval: NOOOO, THEY REMOVED MUH MELEE
The Hot Hand is slightly more useless than the sharpened volcano fragment.
It used to be a hard requirement when doing those contracts back in the day. Otherwise I believe the hot hand is just a gimmick.

At least when you get killed with the Hot Hand it’s funny. With the Volcano Fragment it’s just depressing
Hot hand is only good for the shotgun contract where you dont want to kill the oponent but just get the speedboost to kill with shotgun but yet just situational and useless
Could be good if atleast the speedboost last the same as disciplinary action
Gonna throw it out there: the volcano fragment is the only way to set someone on fire in Medieval Mode other than igniting an arrow.

I'd like to mention two other useless items deserving to be put on this list.
1. Strange bacon grease - this item is used to strangeify your frying pan. That's it. If you could make unique quantity items into strange ones with some sort of other strangifiers then it would be great! But... A pan? Seriously? Also it's pretty rare and drops from only one specific crate.
Pros - you get a strange weapon. Cool.
Cons - don't bother even getting that.
Solution - no solution needed.
2. Something special for someone special - it's an engagement ring, that you can gift to someone, and then happily live ever after... No seriously who would engage in that way?
Pros - may lead to a happy marriage.
Cons - why would you bother buying that? It's expensive, and after the purchase does nothing!
Solution - don't engage ever
i mean i would love the grease to put on my killstreak pan but HOLY SHIT IS IT EXPENSIVE

They were *sorta* useful as a Novelty but, who the fuck plays Comp anyways
So to go on your idea.
+20% damage vs non burning players.
-10% damage with each consecutive hit on a burning player
successive hits do not extend afterburn time.

the noise makers would be a great addition back, instead of 25 uses max total, 1 or 2 uses per match, but they don't run out overall
alternate SVF idea: grants a speed boost while active depending on the number of players currently burning because of you.

I have to admit that I'm not sold on your solution with the Strange Count Transfer Tool. That would lead to people having things like a Hale's Own Fan O' War or Short Circuit. About the only change I'd make on it would be to transfer Strange Parts (and maybe Name/Description Tags). That would honestly be plenty.

The Strange Haunted Kritz-Or-Treat Canteen is even more useless as it has 2 strange parts built in to it that DO NOT work in mvm
Also a good use for the Vuvuzela Noise Maker is to pair it with the Thermal Thruster's Taunt
I think the issue with the volcano fragment is that it was made for medieval mode, as otherwise Pyro couldn't be a pyro, sorta like what they did with the medieval medic set, except that worked in other modes.
Just randomly got recommended this video, and I'm already liking it after hearing Mother 3 tracks. Mad respect and great video too!

Those strange filter things (5:03) are actually cool with how it has the actual name/title changed. Having an item with a weird name, without having quotations around it, is actually super cool to me. It's similar to how community items are, making the item stand out as unique and rare.
When i look at a thrown enemy's gas passer i would say "oh no I'll get burned if i get damaged once" and it'll turn into "oh shit nvm there's no way i would die to this since we have a dispenser" in milliseconds.
I love how I didn't know what Rift was and what items associated with it are. Then you mentioned the two worst items in the game and then I realized you meant the volcanic items.
"Strange Competitive Shovel"
Let's be honest, the Stock Shovel is anything but competitive.
Tbh, it's as goofy as the market gardener is in my opinion, now I'm not saying that's a bad thing (I honestly think it's more of a good thing), but the shovel does not fit the title "competitive" at all honestly

Sharpened Volcano Fragment has exactly 1 use. Max afterburn on hit allows it to pair with flare gun.

I actually still have a Noise Maker: Fireworks from the 2011 Steam Summer Camp sale. I will never use it because of the 25 charges thing. If they removed the charges, I might actually use it.

I've played TF2 for like 5+ years and I didn't know the map specific strange parts existed. Nor have I seen a single soul with a weapon with one of those prefixes.

Here’s an idea for the noisemakers: create them as a taunt. The mercs would just press the button, the sound plays, the mercs shock by how loud it is, and they throw it away
The soccer ball noice maker is the same one Waffen-SS bots use
I have went on a perilous journey from when I first saw this video to obtain a "Strange Dirty Shovel", but have come back defeated. The Dustbowl filter was never distributed or made available. I settled with a Strange Cursed Shovel instead.

There are also some crates still obtainable that cannot be opened by any key anymore. They even have a line in their description saying that they are now purely decorative.

I remember a couple years ago I joined a server full of bots on the enemy team, and they were all spamming the "stabby" sound maker infront of our spawn before the round started, everyone was like "guys, am I the only one hearing that?" Needless to say we were all scared lmao, even more so because I didn't even know this item existed and thought the bots were somehow hacking the server to allow them to voice chat with us lol
the best solution they could do to make the sharpened volcano fragment better, while as a bonus also improving the sun on a stick, is to switch the functionality of both

alt solution for map tracking stats: have the track stats on GAMEMODE specific map instead of a single map, it'd still keep the gimmick of having it track by map but you are limited to a single map and can freely play other maps. Example: instead of a the Classic filter being for 2fort it's for CTF as a whole.
