Beautiful Sunrise over Fog covering Small Town

- What an amazing Sunrise this morning over an eerie low lying Fog bank in Cape Hatteras, NC.

As I was flying, the scenery was constantly changing every few minutes as the sun rose... New rays of light hitting here, the sun now casting shadows in new ways over there. It was a sensory overload to witness, and I'm thankful to get to share it with you all through this visual imagery.

And I only saw it because of a dog... At 5:45am my dog wakes me up to go oustide... in the moment, I'm grumpy because after chasing swell for multiple days, I needed rest. But I walk outside to let him out, and see that there is zero wind and a dense low lying fog bank. I realize a special moment is about to happen as the sunrise hits that fog, and am now thankful for that dog getting me up earlier than planned.

You never know what you'll get to see here in Cape Hatteras... Constantly engulfed in beauty that shows itself in many different ways, through all the different seasons. This place never ceases to amaze me, and I'll forever be grateful to call it home.

I prayed through it the second time watching as it reminded me of a time many, many years ago taking a prayer walk in the wetlands in an early morning fog and seeing the sun come up over the Santa Ana mountains just as I emerged from the fog. Great visual representation of an unusual scene of Hatteras (to me). The amalgamation of visual and aural acuity was a nice touch and I, as a former musician, can appreciate your video editing capturing those changes taking place. It's nice to see a broad vision of Hatteras, such as yours, Brett, instead of just focusing on the waves for which it is renown. Thanks!

How beautiful. Without structures almost looks like Mars. Looked at the lighthouse cam around 6:45 couldn't see a wave from the amount of fog. Awesome footage!
