- Hurricane Maria back in 2017 will go down as one of the most flawless days of surf I've ever seen on the OBX. It was non-stop pumping for 7-8hrs straight, with 5-7sec barrels, triple and quadruple barrel sections, and no one around because we were under evacuation from the storm.
Sadly my GOPro battery was low so I only captured a few waves from my POV... but I hope you enjoy. :)

Sadly my GoPro battery died early on in the session... but these early morning waves were some of my best at least!

Bad luck :/ did your try to record on 60fps, could bne so good on those fast barrels ;) thx sick session!!
These were recorded at 120fps. Much better for slow motion. And the battery only died cause I hadn’t charged it the night before.
Now I shoot with GoPro 11 or the GoPro Max.

small pumps... they are more wiggles. unless its a big barrel where you can do big extended pumps, its all in the ankles and knees.

i remember some of these clips in the film "september" with a bunch of the east coast surfers scoring along the coast during the big swell run. What ever happened to that film?
you lucky bastard. some absolute slabs there. booger with no wetty must have been feeling the chill. that one at 3:50 you didnt make looked so thick and wide. and the last one was ridiculous. the bend on it was like a reef slab
