I concur. Michael feels underrated compared to other photography creators. His content is pure photography, and that's what I think is the best part of his video style. Doing it for the love of photography. Not enough channels do it for the artistic expression.
Excellent! I have always respected your photos as consistently beautiful. With this video I add your teaching too. Thanks for explaining things simply and clearly. Very helpful. Applause for this video.
As a San Francisco native I love your fog images! Makes me homesick for sure. Thanks for the explanations on this. I have always wanted to capture this around the Crystal Springs area and now you have me ready to make that exposure. I do love the minimal images with the tower and color. well done as usual!
Your videos feel more so like a meditation session than a typical landscape photography vlog and I love it! I think the moonlit long exposures were definitely my favorite. It's getting me all to excited to go out and visit the oregon coast again!
Gotta be the full scene with the blanket of fog across the landscape for me. The moonlit fog created such an amazing glow. It also looks like some of that moonlight reflected back into the atmosphere, creating a "haze," like it was highlighting the moist air above the thicker fog bank. The trees isolated in the fog make it look like a floating island. Such a surreal photo. Another banger, Michael. More fog photography good sir!
It is impossible to choose a favorite, I am always amazed by your fog photos and time-lapse, fog in my part of the world is not at all common, but you have inspired me to get out every time there is fog.
that 20 second timelapse was unbelieveable ... in the same shot/scene of the clouds, did it transition into a longer interval and slower shutter speed.. unreal!
Michael. Have always enjoyed your fog images and Timelapse. As a Bay Area resident I’m so used to the fog and the view from Mt. Tam above the fog line really showcases its beauty. I really enjoyed the smoother image with the centered house light. Thank you for sharing your tips on longer exposure. Best regards.
Really mind blowing images Michael. I particularly liked the time lapse stuff. Very nostalgic for me. I spent 4 yrs at the UCSF Parnassus campus so Sutro Tower poking through the fog was a constant backdrop for those years. I lived 35 yrs in the Cupertino area and spent many an evening up in the Russian Ridge Open Space looking down towards what I think was Pescadero, photographing the fog. I wish I'd seen this video 15 yrs ago. LOL. So, thanks for this.
Sutro tower stands out as my favorite. I'd say the second best is the moonlit fog with the exposed treeline. That one wants my to go down and light paint the trees red while you snap the shot. I think all of these pictures are amazing.
All beautiful images Michael, you are so lucky to live where you get the opportunity to get such shots. The Timelapse’s were mesmerising 👌 great tips and advice too 👍
Your videos with the music and your narration are inspiring and always with great information. My favorites are the ones with some texture but I also like the minimalist photo with the soft pastel colors.
This video is exactly what I needed. Truly inspirational to see how you guys managed to create something so beautiful and special. I've been following the channel stories you bring for us to experience, and this one is truly one of the calmest and most inspiring. Thank you for bringing us these stories and wishing you the best.
I absolutely LOVE the time lapse photos, you have such a beautiful way of capturing the little things in nature that make life worth exploring. Thank you for these informative vlog posts. Always appreciated, very inspiring.
Love this. I'm waiting for the temps to heat up and compress the fog a bit. Driving down from Nevada City to capture this as soon as conditions are right. Thank you.
Hey Michael, personally for me your videos are the ones I'm looking forward the most! Everytime you upload a new video I'm so super excited. You are really the first content creator I would think about spending money on Patreon. It's just the whole package; your calming voice, the music you are using, the style of photography - everything is just a pleasure. In this video I liked the amazing timelapses at the end the most. Recently I'm trying timelapses myself. but for me it's hard to find good compositions and predict interesting movements in clouds etc. Also my favorite picture from this video was the one at 13:33 - it somehow reminds me of christmas. Like Santa is sitting in his house in the woods to the right, where just the two lights are and everyone else in the village is at home in the freezing winter night (even though it is fog and not snow). I really liked it a lot and thanks so much for your work!
You videos always help me out in landscape photography and todays tips what you gave about long exposure are dam helpful, thank you Mr. Shainblum and I love all your clicks, it is pretty hard to find the favorite one but the texture shoot 15:18 and the film shoot 18:26 are the best. Further your time-lapses always mesmerize me
Great video, Michael! Beautiful pics too! For once, I can’t choose a fave - they’re all pretty spectacular - digital & film! 🙌🏻 I loved how you addressed “feeling rushed”. I think too many times it’s the hardest part of photography. If you have the time, use it.
Your favorite still shot is also mine, but I’m a sucker for a Timelapse and these were STUNNING! 🤩 Love the fog waterfalls and really enjoyed this video, as always.
Thanks michael, that was really inspiring!!! i gotta say i think my fav. were the textured shots along with the time lapse, i love fog and the way that it moves!!! thanks for all the useful tips :D

I especially liked the colorful shot of Sutro Tower and the time lapse.
The sunset gradient with the clouds below is just gorgeous! 👏
My favourite is your favourite, Michael. Very ethereal. 👍🦘🇦🇺
Loved the textured fog with the trees, i found it the most moody 🌿
This is spectacular. Am overwhelmed right now, breath taking views.
The truth is that I liked all the images and personally I really like the time lapses. Thanks for your content, I like it a lot, greetings from Mexico
Excellent video Michael!. Yor image at 7:03 is my favorite and best describes the theme of your video.
As a San Francisco native I love your fog images! Makes me homesick for sure. Thanks for the explanations on this. Has to be the video shots, just awesome!
Thank you, Michael. The telephoto minimalist shots. The cotton candy sky with the tower was my favorite!
Very nice mike! I like the tower shot. Different style of video. I like!
Film @15.07 was great, sucker for film photography! The minimalistic shot of that tower was great too. You live in an amazing part of the world.
Time lapses were awesome. The moon shots were cool to.
Incredible! And seeing the airplanes on their flight paths like lightning bugs was insane!!!
Your videos feel more so like a meditation session than a typical landscape photography vlog and I love it! I think the moonlit long exposures were definitely my favorite. It's getting me all to excited to go out and visit the oregon coast again!
Your shots from this vlog are stunning. This is the best fog vlog that I’ve seen.
Excellent work here, Michael, nice job.
I am so glad someone told me about your channel. Those are absolutely shots. I agree with you that your favorite shot is mine too. Great work!
Really nice video shot in fantastic weather conditions. My favorite was probably the time-lapse that captured the conditions superbly.
Amazing images! I want to photograph fog so bad!!

The colourful minimalist shot - love those colours! 😍 👌

I can’t pick one buddy! The moonlight images are pretty sick!
Which image from this video ended up being your favorite? 🤔
Gotta be the full scene with the blanket of fog across the landscape for me.
The moonlit fog created such an amazing glow. It also looks like some of that moonlight reflected back into the atmosphere, creating a "haze," like it was highlighting the moist air above the thicker fog bank.

Another banger, Michael. More fog photography good sir!
The colorful minimalist and the long exposure with the tree sticking out were simply superb!
The film one is my favorite but they're all very nice ! Thank you for sharing theses beautifull scenes of nature !
I liked all of them but I really liked the film image; that one stood out to me.
It is impossible to choose a favorite, I am always amazed by your fog photos and time-lapse, fog in my part of the world is not at all common, but you have inspired me to get out every time there is fog.
The Film shots are my favorite 😍
Turned out so great man! Super fun to relive the day through your lens. Let’s do this again!
Wow!! What an incredible documentary on fog photography. Thank you.
Love all of them. The one with the orange light looks like a dragon coming out of the fog.
Thanks Carmen, that's an awesome take on the image!
Absolutely love those long exposure shots!
Loved it all but I had a preference for the later moon shots and film shots
colorful minimalism

That's a lot of fog. One of the first shots with that very pointed tree above the fog. My eye just went right to it.
