Stick to the end for a little surprise ;)
A foggy morning inspired me to go out and shoot the sequel to my previous video. CGI in Blender, then tracking and compositing in after effects.
(Random note: I try to stay away from the viral monster sighting style of Hollywoodscotty, and into something that is more disturbing. It's creepy but it's not an SCP though. :P) - Фільми й анімація

I don‘t know if others agree, but I personally really like the idea of these creatures not being threats. They may look otherworldly and terrifying, but in reality they are just being chill and hanging out.
I like the idea, but something tells me that isn't the case...

I always think like this. The actual creature doesnt make it scary itself but instead its the setting and the environment that makes it truly terrifying

Cosmic/lovecraftian horror is hard to pull off since it doesnt follow the traditional plot outline
Its not about character development, but more so about the slow and steady entrance to the unknown before the big reveal of powers much greater and the descent into helplessness and dread of the revelation.
Exactly. That's the reason its so interesting. Almost nobody realizes that almost every movie or book, doesn't matter if belongs to "art" or "pop culture", is overly focused in we humans as a race, or individals... As if nothing exists outside ourselves. There are lot of topics far more interesting that watching us in a mirror, so to speak.

You want cosmic horror? Just look at videos of Nibiru and then pay attention to the changes of the moon's position in the sky because of it.
The fog looked way more ominous than the actual creature itself, that fog looked amazing in the dim light, gives it that atmospheric scary vibe. 👍

I have seen Silent Hill, I have played Silent Hill, I've watched The Mist, Cloverfield, etc. etc., every movie that has been listed here, I've seen. The only one that comes close is The Mist, but it's still not quite the same. You can stop with your recommendations now, because if a movie like what I'm describing existed, you can rest assured I've seen it.
Just in an hypothetical way, but if I ever did a kickstarter for a feature length cosmic horror movie... Would you support it?

This... is just beautiful. Entrancing the whole way through. The sight of big things at a distance that is somewhere between comfortably far off and terrifyingly close has always had a profound effect on me.
The thing that makes the whole thing very scary is about how calm the situation seems to be. You hear something from afar and you see some strange stuff like a figure for the fogs and a strange stuff from a tower. This is what is best about this horror video : we give you hints that you are not alone, even if everything is calm and normal.
Now THIS is horror. You’ve done what many new horror films fail to do and that is to create a sense of dread without jump scares. Bravo 👏🏽

Problem with me is I'm either terrified for 6 months,
or just 6 seconds and want to find out more about it. "Heeeerrrre, monster, monster, monster."
I'd watch a full 2 hour, no-dialogue, no specific narrative film like this and love every second of it.
Closest we'll get is Monsters by Gareth Edwards.
Now I want Steve Irwin or Attenborough trying to document fog critters.
Incredibly well done. Huge monsters that are hard to see and are just doing their thing are much more believable than monsters that always know where the camera is

Excellent video. I can really feel the anxiety building up to all-out panic. Your techniques are better than a lot of big-budget giant monster movies.
It's easy to imagine that the individual filming has managed to survive all this time in constant fear of the creatures that have destroyed humanity.

I really like how at the end it doesn’t even show you what is making that sound and you’re left entirely up to your imagination.. sometimes that’s even more scary than seeing it

I sounded like multiple tornado sirens. Reminds me since I live in an area right in between multiple of them, and it sounded heavenly when they blared at once and harmonized.
Or it could be interpreted as laziness. Blair Witch perfected the use of nothingness. And that movie sucked.
True horror isnt to scare but to unsettle and stick in your mind thinking over and over about it

@@rachel0706 My guy 90% of the things in horror movies or in movies in general are fake, the fact this single guy was able to pull this off with graphics and that sense of silent horror and dread is astounding. Ask yourself if you yourself can pull this off then you have a right to criticise such an artwork.

Well done. A simple vid with simple effects created an eerie, unsettling feel.
This really tickles an ancient part of the brain. One that remembers how it was to be a small mammal trying to avoid being noticed by a much larger predator that's stalking around.

The fog, I always found it fascinating. Despite it only being thick, dense air and water, I can't stop imagining it as some kind of otherworldly substance.

fog is my favorite weather, it is very different, and the inability to see much highlights what’s immediately in front of you. I see it now, standing on a bridge shrouded in thick fog in an autum morning, the fog obscuring all save for the colored trees filling the valley below. So serene, yet so oppresive and mysterious at the same time.
Man, I need some sleep.

Some of the best horror comes from an uncertainty of the nature of what you see. The creature is large and otherworldly but it’s intent is unknown making it truly terrifying

You're not alone in this, I find something about the serpentine one bounding into the distance strangely majestic. I think something that helps is viewing them as though they are real life deep sea creatures, as they very much resemble them.

I love the fact that you saw a foggy morning and immediately jumped out with your camera to put this together.
We need more big creature horror just like this, also I love the ending that implies that whatever that thing was, was heading directly towards the camera man. If I could give you a million dollar budget, I would love to see it fleshed out, just like the Mist monster scene.

A loud, deep resonating sound being emitted while the beast departs would be cool as hell
Then the sound would be known,while the beast is unknown
And the beast to move a bit slower to make it look more gigantic, fast movement looks kinda odd

The atmosphere is so perfect, it actually make my bone cold without needing to have jumpscare or violence and gore

The fog besides giving it an eerie vibe, it's the fact that the fog gives the monsters a sillouette Making the monsters appearance up to the imagination is what makes it kickass
Again, the sound design is phenomenal, the sheer loudness in combination with the siren like sounds, aswell as the elements of cosmic horror really bring this vid together. Keep up the fantastic work!

One of the best tricks to make a scary video, have something far in the distance, barely visible but massive
Usually, horrors use cheap tricks like jump scares, blood, shock, etc. Those tricks scare you on the most primitive, feral level. But this... this scares you on whole another level, on the conscious level.
What a great job! Its a perfect mix of atmosphere, sound and a very unique and ORIGINAL creature. i love how the fog and sun play against each other making the creature look both enormous and pretty high up in the air. Your skills/talent are on the same level as The Faking Hoaxer and Simon Stalenhag. The plain/simple design of the creature makes it creepy as hell (It kind of looks like one those freaky house centipedes!)

Yes the creature and atmosphere is great but I just love the environment. Out in the middle of the country with trees surrounding a farm it just looks like such a calming place to be during summer when the sun is shinning

He's the cameraman of course he survived that long. The monster in this video just didn't see the guy was filming because of the fog. It was a huge accident on set which let to a lawsuit against said monster.

A nightmare would not be going out and find whatever this huge thing floating in the sky. But finding out that this thing is only a little part of something bigger.

The most difficult emotion to display or give the feeling to the audience is dread. This was beautifully done.
this just gives me the mist vibes already since it has a bunch of "unknown" and "beyond incomprehensionable" type of monsters and beings and this is something to which I like about that (I really do)
I had a nightmare kind of like this. Going down to my barn in the morning before dawn, the valley below covered in thick fog with moonlight over it. There was a deer walking through it, only it was strangely lit from the inside and was about 200 feet tall.
Well this is absolutely terrifying. Kinda reminds me of a much more surreal version of "the mist"

These kinds of sights sometimes feel comforting. Like, a lot of these large beasts seem harmless and are just, there.
I instantly recognised Ligeti's music at the end, very fitting for cosmic horror!
That feeling of having a large creature hunting you in an open place with no hiding spots scares the shit out of me, the way the character looks up and even tho the camera can't see it, it's there

This makes me think of so many things, Cloverfield (for some reason, I've never even seen it), War of the Worlds, Siren Head, The Mist, Blair Witch Project (another movie I have never seen but the camera work is probably why I think of it), A Quiet Place. It's like a comforting nostalgia feeling :) So keep up the good work!
1:15 The branch on the bottom-right corner looks like a person worshipping the creature, or dying from it.
Wow. Absolutely incredible. This is horror. No annoying musical swells leading up to a typical, predictable jump scare. Just something that sets a feeling of dread in your chest and it sits like a rock. I love it. I love it so much. Makes me feel alive.

This one is cool, I like how it looks more like a cloud the further away it gets so if you arrived to see it at that time it would be hidden in plain sight.
I like your concept, we usually see giant monsters with throngs of people as sign of destruction but this is somewhat a fresh take and It reminds me of Cloverfield-style found footage method. I just stumbled upon your channel tonight.

I watched this twice. It had me wondering if the creatures were benevolent, malevolent, or perhaps they did not notice humanity at all. Were they visible only during fog and invisible the rest of the time or maybe fog dwellers who travel from fog to fog? Well done! Thank you.
This is like the gripping intensity of an apocalyptic world. Following this one person I can feel the terror he is feeling at both what we see through him as well as an unknown fear of something not seen, but know something is out there.
I would follow this for sure and will subscribe. I too am drawn to this kind of stuff when it is well done as this is.
The sounds and ambience are to me what really makes this. The strained and stressed breathing from the man mixed with the natural sounds of wind and rained. Being topped off by what sounds like music, but distorted and weird yet... some how natural.
I believe that more shaking, blurring and heavy breathing will make this video even more attractive.
I wish I was good with CGI or understood even a fragment of it because I’d love to create shit like this. Bravo man.
