Literally bought this drill 2 years ago and never used it because I thought I was missing the piece that goes inside the top part, didn’t know you just had to turn it clockwise and anti clockwise to loosen and tighten… smh 😂 Thanks lol.
You failed to address the one thing I had a question about...the functionality of the speed selector switch on the very top of the drill. It is visible at the very bottom of the frame at 1:30 in the video (white "1" in a black square). The switch selects either "1" or "2". This switch has non discernable effect on my drill.
Mine is stalling, does that mean it’s burned out? It’s just not reliable if it’s going to work for a job or not at this point. Bought it about 2 years ago, worked really good for those two years. Quick update: I just called Craftsman customer service and they are sending me a new drill free, no questioned asked. Wow! I wasn’t really expecting that. All I had to do was read them the part number in the bottom of the drill. It still qualified for the warranty.
I purchased the drill/impact combo in March of 2020 and the motor burned up in the drill today while I was at work installing a new deadbolt in a door...NOT HAPPY!!!
Mine did the same thing at a jobsite. I returned it at lowes and I got the bullet and bought the craftsman brushless hammer drill and impact and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever. I would consider purchasing their made in America brushless tools
I bought this drill about a year ago and yesterday it stopped working, I know it’s not the battery the problem I think is in the turn on switch but other than all that it did work great!!!
Sir I no it's old and I'm late, my mom is 70 and I'm paralyzed from being shot and I really want to help my mom she has this same nail gun but I never used one and don't no what nails to get that I can order online for it if you could respond and just tell me what nails or what size can I get so I can buy them, thank you if you can sir I have someone to do it for me the work but I have to have all the tools and he is 64 so im really trying sir because they both aren't web or tech friendly
I have this drill. 1 year in and it struggles to drive a 3" screw through studs. Binds up and refuses to countersink the screw. Very sad for a drill. Buy another brand. Save yourself the headache with this one
@@goodguy1651 it’s big pokey it doesn’t fit in a lot of places it’s weird shaped. It’s a plastic truck. It breaks easy when you drop it and the very cheap.
40 yrs work experience and without a doubt the worst drill I have ever owned.Amazingly it fell apart as soon as the warranty expired. One word discrimination JUNK.

I swear I came to UA-cam thinking the same 🤦🏾♀️. I was about take this thing back to Lowes and cut up until I saw this comment 🤣😮💨
Yo I bought this same drill yesterdays & didn’t know about turning it to insert bits I was going take it back today 😂 whew

I literally thought the same thing. That’s why I was watching this video now I know.🎉

I have this same drill, it came with an impact driver, too. Definitely a good buy
Thank you! Why can't I select the speed with the dial with the larger numbers on it. Won't move. I couldn't see if you did anything to unlock it?
You have to be very careful when you talk about Craftsman = Known quality. Way back in the day that was very, very true. Not so anymore.
Did you do something to be able to turn the hand chuck thing where the bits go? I thought I just had to turn it??? 😩
You just taught me how to insert the bit into the drill. Those stupid instructions didn't even teach how to even operate this.
Thank you very much. Just bought one yesterday.
Thanks didn't know about the power level button. Cool
I was wondering if it was variable speed, thank you.
How are you turning this with your hand? Mine won't move unless I use the electricity to do it.
I have this same drill and based on what I read from the specs I was expecting less from this thing honestly

Thank you, saved my whole Life
Used this drill for a year at work and it took a shit.. batteries are good but the tools are junk.

Does anybody know how to take the truck off a Craftsman drill 710? I've been looking for videos and asking for Craftsman and all I did is Milwaukee's
Thx but you didn't mentione what the "1" & "2" are?
Did you find out?
I can't turn the chuck, what am I missing?
Appreciate Vid fr thx 👊🏽
Some of these comments, man. Come on, people.
Why won’t it turn on?

Very helpful
I had the exact same Drill for 2 years I hated it every day I had to use it
Why is that?
