    Got this in a 7 tool set for $271 from ace hardware (was 20% off. Normally $329) impact, hammer drill, multitool, skil saw, sawzall, grinder, flash light, charger and 2 batteries. It's all been really awesome. Had used the same for over a year at work and finally sprung for my own. They kick ass! Are they the best? No. Do they do everything I need and more for the best price? Absolutely. If you can afford, definitely get the 7 tool set. It's a way better deal overall.

    Well I don't work on my truck much but I'm not a mechanic. I baught the same kit for $99. $104 after taxes. I do plumbing for a living and I just needed the impact for other things and drill. Only complaint I had was the drill doesn't have a hammer setting. Other than that I'm good with both tools and so far it's been doing what I needed it for. Wished I had a milwaukee but craftsman will do for now. Could've been worse I was going to buy wallmart hyper tough.

    I've got the same combo. The drill is a piece of junk, the impact driver is the star. The drill had a wobbly jaw since day one and today it sounds like the gears are stripping out. With the clutch set to the tightest setting the jaw stops spinning but motor keeps turning, it sounds like it's jumping gears internally. I barely even used the drill because the wobbly jaw was driving me nuts, so I stuck to my DeWalt. Guess we'll see how the warranty process works at Lowe's.

    • @TheModAddict
      @TheModAddict 3 роки тому +4

      Id say you got a bad one then.. my drill has been amazing

    • @cup_and_cone
      @cup_and_cone 3 роки тому +2

      @@TheModAddict More than likely. I've felt some demo ones on display at Lowe's - half have the wobbly chuck, the other half don't. Either way that has no effect on the internal gears. I also have the brushed DeWalt sister drill, and that has no play after two years of hard abuse. I bought this combo because it was on sale for $80, and I needed an impact driver. Was a good way to get into the Craftsman line. The impact has been great so far. As far as warranty is concerned, you have to go through Craftsman for the V20 lineup... Lowe's will refuse to help unless it's within the return window.

    My freind has that kit and is great for a beginner. The drill leaves a lot to be desired and the impact could be better. Not great for automotive use, it just lacks in power. Used it for a framing job and the battery died after about 30 to 40 4” screws. For comparison sake I have the ridgid subcompact and it sunk about 80 -100 of those same screws before I had to swap batteries. the ridgid did a better job but is brushless, has a slightly bigger battery and that kit was twice the price. These are great for around the house but there are many kits out there that do the same and are a better price.
