    Absolutely superb and to the point - not ONE second wasted on BS and gabble. I've seen 20+ min videos with much less REAL content.

      Awesome! Since filming - I found out that the actual name is a “ Slip Hook” - there is a Amazon link in the Description for an example of one. Thanks again!

    Awesome work man! Your channel is very underrated. Currently planning on making a diy belt squat platform for my rack pulley system. I saw you did something similar but even more diy, very cool

    Is there a companion video that shows how to convert the rig from the pendulum squat to the leg press?

      There are in fact two leg press videos:

    Nicely done. I'm wondering why the starting pivot hinge is below 90°. Can you tell me why that is important because it will mean that I will have to buy a hole saw bit because my rack holes only go just above shoulder height. I'm thinking starting from 90° would make the gravity of the strength curve more consistent too.

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому

      You should be good. I had them too high in the video. Just above Shoulder height should be perfect. Let me know how this project works out for you and let me know if you have any questions while you build it!

    • @RickRubinesque
      @RickRubinesque 2 роки тому

      @@DesignBuildLift Thanks. That's a relief because drilling those holes would mean dismantling the entire rack and they'd be a lot at stake if drilling the holes went wrong.

    Nice Idea, but I would rather spend that time working out, instead of building a DIY leg machine every time I want to workout my legs. Valid point?

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  Місяць тому +1

      I hear you, but we all have different space,economic, and time constraints…these constraints have changed for me since I made this video -and I now have a leg press, a smith machine, a better power rack, etc….so personally- I no longer use this option. However, this DIY option may still be a good option for others out there.

    Credits to your imagination ..So many steps i got lost :) I use my smith machine or my long jammer arms with plates or (and )cable , a strong steel platform ( about 50 pounds which I use as incline ) and work as a pendulum so well....How much did you spent to get it working? Keep on inventing exercises that is good as long as safety is priority number 1 ...Training at home its exciting however i must be 100% sure that my equipment is100% safe and especially when using heavier weight for legs .....Also it is important to set and take it off after the exercise in a short time for the next exercise .cheers from Australia

    Man this is sick but I don’t know where or what we call nipples in Australia haha I can’t find them at my hardware store I wanted to build the omega arms but can’t find them

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому +3

      Your plumbing supply store must have them - no? When you go to the store say “could you show me where your threaded steel pipe is”? Do not say - “please show me your nipples.” That will get you banned. 😂

    Pivot seems a little high, but looks great otherwise.

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому

      Thank you! The beauty is- you can raise/lower the pivot to your liking. Also - you raise/lower the J Hooks to control the pitch of the foot plate as well. Fully customizable to your individual needs.

    Looks good, but a lot to set up. Maybe if you were going to just do that exercise

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому +1

      Yes initial setup takes a couple of minutes - but it can also be stored 90% setup (hanging from the rear brackets) allowing you to freely use your rack for other exercises- and then subsequent sessions will take mere seconds to set up. I should have spent time discussing this in the video. In the next episode of the Omega Arms Series- I will be sure to cover this. Thank you for pointing this out!!! 🙏💪🤘

    lever is bit too short in my opinion

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому

      Thank you for watching! I appreciate it!
      You can make it “longer” (for all intents and purposes - “longer”) by lowering the brackets on the rack’s uprights. I probably had them too high in the video - which in effect shortens them a bit.
      Also - you can control the pitch of the foot plate by raising the J hooks down below.

  • @bigdogkropp
    @bigdogkropp 2 роки тому

    Way to long setup time. I would never use it. If I could modify this to be attached to a wall and be ready to go once I fold it out I might use it. I think the gym equipment manufacturers might be watching your videos very carefully.

    • @DesignBuildLift
      @DesignBuildLift  2 роки тому

      The setup time is lessened if you leave it partially setup and hooked up to the rear of the rack….just as you would if you had it mounted to a wall.

      @@DesignBuildLift Simplicity is the key to any design. You have a good core idea, but way too complicated IMHO.
