I wish this game still had the feature that was in the first game (and Remake, or maybe it was only Remake?) where Adam's rush combo uppercut would launch the enemy higher depending on spacing, and the kick would send them flying further and could hit bystanders. Would do wonders for crowd control. SoR4 Adam could have used it too but maybe he's top-tier enough.
It’s a pleasure to watch you play! Great Work!! . Your timing is impeccable throughout. The way you time dodging and lining things up is something else!

Holy bananas this was an amazing playthrough!! I'm doing a playthrough on mania stage by stage with SOR1 Adam too. I have to say though your skill is just inhuman brother!! Keep up the amazing content and I look forward to your other videos on SOR4!!
Yeah, I missed how high that uppercut sent the odd enemy. It was hilarious (and flying people actually would hit others :3. That said, look at his DPS, he rivals SOR2 Max!
The bad thing about playing as SOR1 characters, (I play on pc, with specials mapped to key "E") is that I tend to press "E" by mistake, having gotten used to playing SOR4 characters by now. Lol!
Msania arcade i did Max, SOR4 Blaze, SOR1 Blaze, and SOR4 Axel. Now I'm almost done with SOR4 Adam. Not sure if i want to do the SOR4 characters before working on the rest. SOR1 Blaze is almost as strong, just faster. She was fun but to play through.
SOR1 can do high damage without the slow delay from SOR4 Adam combo and blitz. New Adam has to use special many times to avoid damage. For new players, SOR4 is better, because his dash helps a lot to evade attacks and grab enemies
Extra reach and damage to compensate for having no moves. Star power is the classic missile strike. This will clear a screen for you or deal about 20% to a boss. If you want advantage, try SoR3 Blaze haha. Someone on the dev team must really love Blaze.
@@CP-zu5pi lol I tried playing as SOR3 Blaze the other day; she was my "main" in the original game, so I got nothing but love for her... But I gotta say SOR3 Blaze makes this game a little boring!
It's your end score, like... I think 400/500k? On Mania, there's a lot of "extremely good" things you have to put contend against to get good stage scores, so just make note of that as you see a guy who is extremely familiar with action games pull Bs and shit lol.
Play a fast character, like Dr. Zan, and maintain those combos for 2,000+ damage. Basically you have to avoid getting hit and go out of your way to delay certain attacks or interacting with certain items for the sake of keeping a chain going. Oh, and right now if you're on the Xbox forget it as the combo meter is currently bugged out.
It's not Arcade so much as it is Mania. The game throws a hundred million enemies at you and expects you to maintain combos through entire encounters for S rank. Over an entire Arcade playthrough, that's extremely hard on this difficulty.
My opinion regarding the SOR1 characters is Axel has the best jab combo by quite a bit but the worst jump attack, Blaze has the worst jab combo but best jump attack and back attack, and Adam is kind of the middle ground. Personally I like Axel out of that trio the best. His jabs just feel that much better and easier to stunlock people with. They're all fairly similar though, due to how simplistic their gameplay is. Also I overthink this game to a crazy degree for someone who's not very good. I'm stuck on stage 9 in Mania. ;_;
@@masterlee1988 I did finally do it! IMO, hardest stage in the game. The stupid room with the hoard of Goro and Pheasant enemies is ridiculous, and then you basically get to do it again on the elevator.
Dude, I'm dying of curiosity... do you do anything else other than playing SOR4? You've finished the game with all characters. Do you have a job? Are you a kid in school? Tell me about yourself! I'm genuinely interested!

@@yansilverio532 To me there's like 3 difficult stages on Mania, but the rest are easily doable without too much problems and not dying as much. Mania seems intimidating at 1st, but once you learn the strats and get used to the layouts it becomes more manageable. Anyone who's experienced with beat em ups and Streets of Rage(like me)would be able to handle Mania.
Good to see SOR1 Adam still has his long invisibility frames from throws. Very skilful playing! Can't wait to get my hands on this game!

That was in the original as well. The best levels this move shined was the bridge stage and the elevator stage.
I think SOR4 has plenty of tools to deal with crowds; he's one of the best characters in the game

SOR1 chars makes the best average damage to compensate lack of specials
Can't get enough of your amazing gameplays 👌
In origin SOR1 the more higher Adam uppercut enemy to fly on air, the far he can kicked off the enemy.

After all that, and all you got was B. Unreal! No clue what it takes to get an S.
The higher the difficulty the higher the conditions.
HartleySan You need 425k points to get an S Rank for Arcade.
1:34:04 Why did they remove this giant spiked wrecking ball from the game? Too tough to beat this on mania without it.

I was just wondering the same ? Is it ?
SOR1 can do high damage without the slow delay from SOR4 Adam combo and blitz. New Adam has to use special many times to avoid damage. For new players, SOR4 is better, because his dash helps a lot to evade attacks and grab enemies
Not for me, but then again freestyling combos with SoR4 Adam is one of the more fun things in the game for me.
SoR4 Adam has more options and infinite juggles while SoR1 Adam has better stats.
No way
Buff man Adam is buff even in 16 bit form.
What are the advantage to play SoR 1 characters ? They have less possibilities, do they hit harder ?
yeah they do much more damages. But they are boring to play.... -_- IN SORR they done awesome work on then (dash attach, special ect...)
The SWAT team hits a bigger area than star attacks
