What us the difference between the MK808s and the MK808z?
You notice how he can't even answer that nor Autel ... Sad.
The hardware in the mk808z is faster/better but besides that. They are the same software wise. I just found this out recently.
Does this unit have the capability to turn off the VCT control on a Ford 5.4 Triton? Does it display individual firing of the the coils on a V8 engine?
This unit does have a lot of capabilities, more than other scanners that I have tested. I can't say specifically for your vehicle because functions only show up when the scanner is hooked up to the vehicle and I don't have your Triton to hook it up. I would suggest that you contact the Amazon seller directly and they can tell you much more precisely.
Does it have BMW dme cas key synchronization
You forget to mention that after the first year of free updates that unless you keep paying the annual subscription fees that you lose some functionality for certain vehicles and get constant pop-ups to renew
That's not true. The device continues to work as normal on all functions that you downloaded until that point. If you didn't update certain vehicles then they will not continue to function because you didn't download the software before it expired. What you download in that first year is yours to keep. The pop ups, if they bother you that much, you can stop by disconnecting the device from the internet.
@@ModernDIYProjectsStill not really acceptable for something you paid close to $400 for
@@j_758 That is why I review scanners for every budget that my viewers will have. I also have reviewed 2 or 3 scanners in my playlist on my channels page that have Lifetime Free Updates. Go check out my Scanner Playlist and you can find those if they are more to your liking. I don't make the policies, I just review the products.
I have an older Lexus RX 330. Is it compatible? Will this product work for me? Thanks
I noticed below... that is will cover my 2004 car.
It works with any 1996 or newer vehicle
Can it detect misfires and give the misfires numbers kinda like a cylinder power tribute test
Yes it can.
You're the best Sir. Thank you for taking the time to review this scanner that I will be buying right after watching your video. 👍
Do you use it with your phone? And if so is it compatible with the iPhone?
I didn’t see Mercedes on the car list. U know if it works for Mercedes 2019 GLC
Maybe I went by it too fast but yes, it covers all Euro vehicles.
Great review. Can this model clear AT learned values and perform a AT relearn? I'm trying to find the most affordable model that would do that
I believe it can but if you want to be certain, I suggest you send an email to the seller on Amazon.
Will the unit charge while connected to the vehicle's obd2 port? Or will it only charge via the usb charging port?
All these units power up when connected to the OBD2 port.
Does the scanner have sound if you watch a repair video on UA-cam?
Yes, it's like a normal tablet in that respect.
Great video
So, this scanner doesn't work for older than 2018 vehicles??
Of course it does. It works on all OBD2 systems from 1996 forward.
😂😂 bruh take your car to a shop you don't know what your doing
Can you do calibrations with this scanner?
What type of calibrations?
Lots of great info 👍 (sub )
Not : ios compatible ?
Most devices are Windows compatible. IOS I can't say since I don't have an IOS machine to test it with. But you can always email yourself reports using an online email and then open it up later with your IOS system.
It is very nice scanner. Does it work by 220 v.
Yes, it brings adapters for use anywhere in the world.
Do you know what the update costs are?
The prices change all the time so anything I quote now will change soon. Best thing to do is visit their website and they will show you the current prices there.
Whats the difference between MK808z and MK808s?
I don't see any.
@@ModernDIYProjects thanks for the reply. I saw a reply to this question, I think in the Autel channel, and they say it's the same. Cheers
Cool thanks.
do you have to pay when updating?
Only after your subscription runs out.
Can i still use it, when update runs out?
Yes, you can.
What's the difference between the 808S and 808Z?
Updated version
Thanks for your Informative Information. much appreciated
I just got the mk808z. Will I be able to program a new key for a 2009 Tundra? I don't have the master only a valet. Will it work or do I need the master? Thanks!
I think to do it yourself with this scanner you will need the Master key. To do it with the Valet only it may have to be a dealer job.
@@ModernDIYProjects hmm I was just messing around with it. With the "key registration" feature (basically add a new key without deleting any old ones) It needed a master key which I dont have. Then I looked at the all keys lost function but was afraid to do it because it will delete all keys. It said you will need atleast two keys and one key must be a master. Could I buy a blank master and program it with that function. Or does it mean a master thats already been programmed to the vehicle?
I have never had to go to your extreme situation so I can't guide you that far. You can try and see how it works with the valet key, I mean you have nothing to loose. But if it does not work then you may have to pay the dealer to program another master key for you.
