Thank you. Did my truck and suv. Looked good til the next day saw a few quarter size spots that I’d like to remove so I guess since the time frame I’ll have to polish it out

All cosmetic, this area will actually have thicker protection.

What would happen if I attempted this after it cured for 2-3 days? Just more risk of highspots?

@@CMDRRustyDog I've done a few cars since I left this comment. Applying more ceramic after the first coat fully cures won't do anything for highspots, they'll need to be buffed out with compound. They are pretty easy to buff out by hand but you'll need to go over with a buffer to remove the scratches caused by hand buffing.

Using more coating to dissolve coating is quite expensive. I made my boats entire console one giant high spot, so it would cost me $100 in coating to get it of and hours of hand buffing and mediocre results. I tried hard pads and heavy cutting compound it gets the 90% off it, but it's more work than removing the initial oxidation. In the end I used Isopropanol (IPA) alcohol it much cheaper than using more coating and it's more effective (since it contains more solvent then the original coating). Still a ton of work, but you can see the high spots crumble into a powder in the same way that cutting compound does when it's drying up and need to be reapplied.

wouldn't it go away as the coating breaks apart? it usually lasts like one year?

Over time the high spot will wear, that is correct. It is mainly a cosmetic issue.

What if I left product on the paint for 3 days?

You would need an abrasive polish or compound to remove.
