Been wanting to ceramic coat my car but I figured i would do a bad job like the people did on the truck and was scared too. Plus don’t have idea conditions to let it cure properly so I’ve been hesitant. Watching this video gave me a lot more info on how I should go about it. Great video guys!
Go for it. They have so many video lessons to help you do it right and you can see here, that it is not a big deal if you make a mistake. You got this!
i dont see how you can go wrong.. there is a lot of ceramic on market, take an easy to work with and no prob. there is nothing difficult. its like putting wax, with more caution thats all, it just need a proper wash before and there you go
Very useful information! Thank you guys! Here's a video request.. The different Torque tools for specific detailing. I'm looking to purchase one just don't understand the difference between them.
Hey what kind of polishing pad would you recommend for polishing aluminium wheels on a semi an can I use my torque polisher thanks for the video I am a die hard fan of all of your products also when will you get the snubby power washer gun back in stock thanks
hey Chemical Guys, im gonna start coating my car and i got a question: when do i need to refill the applicator? How do i know that insert the enough or less amount of coating? Best regards. Keep thoose videos coming.
Hi Steve! Ceramic can be used as a standalone barrier of protection or layered with your favorite glaze, sealant and wax for added gloss and durability.
I had a pretty poor effort from a dealer when I collected my M6 and it was polished and ceramic coated. I need to remove the ceramic then correct the poor polishing attempt they did. Should I wash, clay, then polish removing the ceramic? Thank you in advance.
If you can afford an M6 you clearly aren’t financially strained, and you don’t seem to have a strong understanding of what you’re getting into. Personally I would suggest hiring a professional detailer to handle it, and then send the BMW dealership the bill.
I need help guys responses would be great I ceramic coated my truck it turned out awesome it didn’t have any streaks until a few days later I looked at the roof and saw a small circle of ceramic on the roof it’s a bit on the edge I didn’t wipe away so does it become permanent the longer I leave it in or can I compound and polish it later if possible
@@ChemicalGuyswhat if I left my coating for a month and I barely noticed high spots on the side doors, can I still be able to remove them with a regular compound? Or do I need a more aggressive compound? Before I applied the coating I did a 1 step paint correction with 3D ONE compound. Will that be able to remove the high spots ?
@@shalanigrant1754 I tried it last week using the Chemical guys P4 compound. I only had an electric drill, so I used foam pad attachments and it worked ! You may have to do it a couple times, but it removed the rainbow streaking, and removed high spots / visible spots. I no longer have annoying streak marks visible from inside the car anymore.
Hi Jason! P4 contains a very fine abrasive that refines the clear coat. V38 contains no abrasives but is great for jeweling the finish as a final polish.
I had someone donthis to my new 2023 suburban they did a horrible job i have this ugly looking glaze in different spots all over my suburban. Now thinking i have to pay someone to at least make it look better
This is what happens when you go to the cheaper guys looking for low price ceramic coating application process. That’s what that person gets for going to a hack next time when you met a real detailer and he tells you 1k for the job don’t go running off like a broke boy lol it pays the cost to be the boss

@@ChemicalGuys it would help when doing a tutorial like this, I would be specific with the speed setting you used with the P4.
If you notice it in time, you can add coating to reactivate the initial layer then wipe off. Thats too bad for the customer.
Great feedback!
That’s a good tip. Especially to those who work on Matte painted surfaces.
Yeah I overapplied on my hood. Atleast it's easy to fix. Thanks for the vid

Is it a party foul to mix different brands of coatings if you’re correcting a mistake on a previous application?
Hey! It is recommended to use the same line of products however it is not mandatory.
How would you remove a spot that dripped on a bumper and hardened. I have a small run on the front bumper that fully hardened.
Hey! Machine polishing is the most effective method of removing hardened ceramic.
How much would a job like this cost for the entire car??
Can you just claybar then apply the ceramic coating?

when you spray it with water it doesnt have the effect anymore

Hey! The ceramic will bond and harden 12 to 24 hours after application. Using a compound will remove it and then the ceramic can be reapplied.
