Natalie!!! Between your hair color and skin tone, that set you made looks fantastic on you!! You just look so beautiful. I'm sure the lighting helped a little, and your bright smile.... but I just couldn't stop thinking how lovely you looked the entire episode.
Your travel footage was beautiful this week. Thank you for sharing that with us.
I love your travelling videos. You and Kent are having the dream life right now. What an incredible experience! So many memories! Thank you for sharing so all of us get to enjoy it too!
Thank you so much for another great podcast. Loved the beautiful views and seeing your lovely wips.
Ive seen pom poms made from scraps they're so unique and beautiful.
What beautiful views!! Toaster looks so happy! I also do not mind a long chatty adventure part. It’s so fun to hear about!
Awesome Episode Natalie ❤ loved all of this! Thank You 😊
I love your videos. All of the content is so well done and so interesting. I am also so thrilled you came back to Tempe Yarn and I was able to meet you, Kent and Toaster. I can't wait to see the yarn shop tour. I love the your hexi blanket and it will be such a fantastic memory of your amazing Yarney Adventure.💖
Never worry about how long your
videos are. I love them. Great to crochet to. And besides...if someone doesn't enjoy the length, they can pause it. Thank you for sharing your life on the road plus all the cool fibre and yarn stuff. ❤
Aww thank you so much!
Great video. You shouldn’t worry about the length of your videos. Theyre great and separated so well anyone could tune out if they weren’t interested in the travel portion. Personally I enjoy all of it. We love to travel and have never been to Utah so definitely adding it to our list since husband checked off a lot of my bucket list this past week.
Thank you for sharing the pictures of your adventures. They are amazing
I love the travel section, it's so exciting to hear about all these new places I've never heard of! ❤❤❤
Love hearing and seeing your adventures.
Please don’t ever apologize for the length of your videos of where you go and sites of your travel. Love it love it love it. Makes me want to go there and if not I got to go thru you.
I love the travel and life sections.
I love traveling via variously with you. Love the descriptions of the places you’ve been and what you’ve done, in addition to the making.
Vicariously
fry bread is sooo good. I grew up in a Native American community in Northern Cali and always loved getting some of those tacos!
Omgoodness! I love Zion National Park!
So glad to see you living the best life. In the early videos when you were in the tiny apartment I never thought you could get free of it all. Glad you took the escape route. X
Welcome to Utah! Glad you get to enjoy some of our beautiful national parks and the great outdoors! I was also going to add to the list of "yarn-y" events coming up. The Great Basin Fiber Arts Festival is coming up this next weekend (April 26th-27th) in Farmington, Utah. It's a great time and would highly recommend it! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us!
Utah is amazing to visit!! Nice that you’ve gotten so much knitting done and are caught up on your blankets!!
OMG the Happy Day yarn is soooo pretty!
Thank you from France :) very nice travel :)
Wow love the trip report ty !
we did the UT national parks 2 years ago and Bryce Canyon was my fave! Give it another go another time of the year those trails are AMAZING! walking amongst the hoodoos was surreal, i felt like I was on a different planet! Someone back me up here!
Yes! I enjoyed hearing about your travels. It's ok if it's long!🙂🧶
Yay, thank you!
So glad ya got to hang at Tempe Yarn & Fiber! It’s definitely one of my favorite places to stop when I visit my family. Love their yarn and the staff is so helpful!!
Sweet fry bread is amazing, yum. So is strawberry rhubarb ❤. My son went to Zion last summer and loved it. One of the pictures he took is the wallpaper on my phone.
I absolutely love that you have halted the sock patterning on the top of the socks. That is also the way i knit because i dislike imprinting bumpy patterns on my feet from the pressure of my shoes.
Yay!! Congratulations on now having your own matching set of knitted hat, scarf and mittens. They all look great on you. I like seeing and hearing about your travels. The National parks all look beautiful. It must have been amazing to see snow but suddenly have the dry desert on the other side of the mountain. Your hexie blanket must be getting huge. It looks lovely. The new yarns you purchased and received look great. Great that you have finished nearly all your WIPS and now can start new projects. Take care with your travels.
Oh, so beautiful!!!
Awww sad to miss out on seeing you at Yarncentrick!
I know! I'm sad not to be there!
Welcome to Utah! I’ve been following you for a while; it’s fun to see you in my home state!
I just love the travel section! Thanks for sharing with us. Utah is a beautiful state. Enjoy it
Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
Toaster was looking like I know my dish of food is right here, but I want some of that fry bread! 😂
And thank you so much for sharing your scraps! So excited for them to arrive!!❤❤❤
Just sent them out this morning!
Virginia Blue Ridge yarn crawl is May 25th-June 1st! If anyone in the Virginia area is interested.
Awesome! I'll add that one to my list to share!
Love hearing about your travels! Thanks for sharing your park adventures! I've always wanted to try boondocking, but sadly we no longer own a camper. Happy trails!!
I agree, you look so pretty! Great color on you. And the light is gorgeous. Southern Utah is stunning. Northern Utah is majestic. Enjoy exploring!
Thanks, I enjoyed every little bit. It was a journey to the past as well for me. Many of the parks you have visited I visited when I was young, about 65 years ago!
Yes, thats a great idea for a tutorial! I just finished redoing a toe for length!
I remember you taking about wanting a chair with more storage on it. I have a directors style camo chair that has a table that folds out on the side and pockets on the other side. I know space is precious, but could be a good solution to your podcast filming woes
Love the mix of yarny talk and travel - thank you for the wonderful sharing and descriptions of the areas you’re visiting. So much ❤ for Toaster and that you have him along and make sure he’s so well loved and cared for as you travel.
If it was up to me - I would love even longer videos ❤
I will miss the progress of the hexagon blanket. 😊
You look so beautiful this morning, Natalie! The fawn color of your accessories is so flattering on you. Utah suits you. ❤
It is the best feeling when WIPS become FOs. Enjoy your day 😘
Aww thank you so much!! You made my day ☺️
Sounds delicious (the fry bread with honey) and thank you for using the Indigenous name for the Navajo Nation in the text on screen ❤
It was delicious! Yes, of course 💕
Even though I live in Nashville, I’m from Arizona (Gilbert, which is close to Chandler - where you were). I forgot how much I missed Navajo Tacos! We would eat these when we went to the State Fair.
If you make it back to Arizona I think you would love seeing Sedona - red rocks everywhere.
When do you start buying your advent calendars? Will you have a video telling us which ones you will be buying? I love your videos !! Keep up the great work!
I love hearing about your travel adventures… keep them coming and no apologies required.
Natalie, I love the new section where you talk about your travels. I had to watch it twice because you said you liked Zion over Bryce and I wanted to see why! They do look like they are both very different Bryce being red rock andZion having more greenery
We just left Moab, Utah. Hopefully you are headed that way toward Arches National Park! It’s beautiful. There is a cute yarn store in Moab as well. Good luck in your travels! We live about 45 min from GTNP and 90 minutes from Yellowstone NP. Definitely worth a stop if you have the time.
Thank you so much for coming back to Arizona! I’m so glad you got to see the northern half of our beautiful state! 🌵🌄
I am loving the format of your videos Natalie so I don’t think you need to change a thing! We are still getting to see your knitting and crochet - and of course your lovely yarn, but we are getting to see such brilliant scenery too! It’s great to hear what walks you are doing and places you are visiting. Thank you so much x
My parents-in-law did "Angel's Landing" when they were 60 and they aren't that fit... so you could have done it! I applied for a permit for this summer but if I can't do it...I'll just turn around.
You look extra super pretty love the set on you ❤
Oh thank you! 🥰
Fabulous episode. Your travel adventures are so wonderful! Thank you!
I really enjoy living vicariously through your adventures. I wish we were 30 years younger so we could do the same. ❤❤
Hey it's never too late!
And TOTALLY LOVED the van tour too ty! And you keep the content perfect don’t worry !
Love all your projects and seeing your adventures. 😊 A lifetime of memories. You are very fortunate that you are able to do this adventure. 😊 Look forward to your next podcast.
Very fortunate! Not taking a second for granted 💕
I really enjoy your travel episodes and you don’t need to rush. 😂. I look forward to all of your episodes. Thank you for sharing your travels.
Thank you so much!
Your photos are AMAZING!, 🤩😍💛
Thank you! Kent takes a lot of the landscape ones so I have to give him credit too!
@@KnittyNatty you did awesome Kent!! They’re spectacular!🤩🤩
So honoured to be a part of your Hexie blanket!! I’ll be coming to Flock too and I’m so excited to meet you 💖🌈🥳 much love from Aus 🥰
Hooray! Can’t wait to meet you then!
I love all the knitting and traveling. So fun! Love your FO's too! All the best,Kimberly
I don't know what is more exciting...
you being all caught up in the Hexi Blanket or being in Utah and all of those exquisite Red Rocks and NPS.
Throughly enjoyed this podcast.
Right?! Both are amazing, but I'd probably go with the parks as the best part 😜
Hi Natalie I just finished an amigurumi snail that I made from an amigurumi book bought of of Amazon
Hoping to make a fisherman s scarf. Knitted
Have had a flu like virus and bacterial infection
Still have advent yarn to make something
Thanks for showing me how you hand wind yarn
Kaye x
If you are coming to Northern Utah we have some great yarn shops. Start in Provo and work your way all the up to Ogden and Park City has a beautiful shop. Great Basin Fiber Arts is next weekend in Farmington, just a ways north of SLC.
We are definitely coming up north! Not sure where we will go just yet.
@@KnittyNatty Let me know if you have any questions about any of the shops. They are all wonderful.
❤
I love all your adventures; I’m excited to hear of a new yarn shop in Alameda! I was just there in January visiting family and wanted to visit any and all yarn shops in the area! I’ll def swing by the next time I’m in the Bay 😊
#question, when you get around to filming your tutorial on extending your sock, would you have the bandwidth to film how to do it on a ribbed cuff? I need to re-knit the collar of my sweater and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to pick up stitches in ribbing!
Thank you as always, and happy travels!
-Kyra
That first hexi also gives me Sully from Monsters Inc. vibes. Perhaps it's a sign...
❤😊
Natalie in Tenessee: I won’t need wool socks along.
Natalie in the desert: maybe my insulated coffee should stay indoors
Don’t worry about the length! People can skip, break it up into multiple watches, whatever. If you’ve got something to say and you’re into it, go on. I’d rather watch people who are passionate than efficient.
Hahahaha this is so true 😅
I’ve eaten at the Ho-Made Pies place after a trip to Zion. Had to take a photo of the ridiculous sign for a Facebook post. Are you planning a trip to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab? I’d highly recommend it.
Welcome to UTAH
Thank you! Loving it!
Goblin Valley (state park) is worth a visit. Also if you're in Utah next weekend the Great Basin Fiber Arts Fair will be happening.
Will you make a video on your yarn cake /a tutorial?
I have a full video tutorial in the crochet version of the pattern! The knit version has a tutorial for the bind off.
You can find all the patterns here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/yarn-cozy-bundle-combo
I also recently subscribed for the Blanket of Knowledge Serenity in crochet! I received my March kit but have yet to start it. I am a much better knitter than crocheter so I wanted a challenge. Excited to learn new challenge. I decided on the blocks.. did you pick blocks or strips?? Excited for you to start and share your progress on your Podcast!
I'm planning to do strips! I just started back on mine this past week, so I'll be able to share that in the next episode. I started mine wrong so I'm turning it into a practice and gauge swatch. 😅
Love love this video, how exciting you guys came back to Arizona? I was so sad. I couldn’t meet you in Tempe. If you ever come back to Arizona, you have to go to Prescott. There’s a beautiful yarn store over there.
We’ve actually traveled here and there as well. I’m a stay homeschool mom I have a little girl who is so excited to start our new hexagon, granny square blanket. Thanks to you.
I am curious why didn't you continue in K2P2 to the toe on the knit-natty tea socks. I have done this and find the socks very cozy.
When you use sock blockers … do you find that the cuff gets stretched? Is the cuff too large?
Sorry the hat pattern does count code doesn't seem to work . Maybe because it's 10pm on the 20th in canada, central time zone? Oh well, doesn't matter. I actually have too many WIP's, lol
I just tried it and it seems to still be working! Maybe try again?
❤
