So glad you were able to do my local LYS. I don't see often people doing LYS stories here, because I think often people do not associate of Arizona and knitting due to the heat. I knit in my AC and sometimes a fan on me. 😃 I'm drawing a blank on the shop manager, but she is truly the nicest and most helpful person. All of the staff here are. I just remember as a first impression I went in with questions and she explained so well, didn't make me feel dumb, was welcoming and warm. Thanks again for touring them! I love all your LYS tours.
My daughter attended ASU, and stayed. Tempe yarn has always been a must when we visited her. I must admit you have grown in such a positive way. I guess it’s time to visit her again, I can’t wait to come back to Tempe yarn
I love this store. I used to live fairly close so I was able to visit often. I now live about 3 hours northeast but still visit this store whenever I’m in the valley and I really stock up when I’m there!
After watching your video the first time I made plans to go. Once my out of town guest arrived we took a trip over to Tempe Yarns and mentioned your video. They were so happy to hear your name again and that I came in because of your video. I wanted to make sure I supported locally on that trip so it worked out perfectly. Ohhhhh boy did I go over budget that day. Thank you for an amazing video.
I love Tempe Yarn! Looking forward to stopping in this week! Love their Dyelicious Yarn. The larger skeins are great for bigger projects! Definitely need to grab the 80s flashback!
Oh my goodness what a surprise that this fantastic store is so close. I’m in Gilbert and can’t wait to go shopping. I was a knitter, spinner, weaver and even had my own little shop years ago when I lived in Western New York. I even had a few sheep for a couple years. This is so exciting.
@@sheighpullen3747 they’ve got prices from the $5’s and $10’s per skein like Joann’s to the higher end of about $25 per skein, but the higher end hand dyed ones are absolutely worth the price, and the workers are super helpful about suggesting the best ones for your price range and project
Hi Natalie and Kent. I have been missing the yarn store tours so it was great to see another one. Tempe has beautiful yarns. I like finding out the history of how the business got started. Thankyou.
I visited Tempe a couple years ago and they were so nice and very helpful. I bought some of their Dyelicious in both fingering and DK and I love it! Whenever we get to Phoenix to visit friends we have to go to Tempe Yarn.
I go between this store and a yarn store in Albuquerque New Mexico. It just depends which big town I am in as I live in a small town between these two places near the border of the two states. I love Brown sheep yarn. I often buy it at various trading posts on the Navajo reservation. I am a New Mexico gal who now lives in Arizona.😊
What a truly beautiful store! I am drooling from Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you Natalie for taking us along on this wonderful tour. Such a friendly feel to everything ❤️ I would definitely visit with an empty suitcase 🧳🤣
SuperGlo is awesome under a black light. I made a beanie with it for my Halloween costume last year and was thrilled with how it looked under a black light.
Thanks. I’m from Colorado but I visit Gilbert often. I didn’t know where to buy yarn out here. Thanks for sharing. I’ll stop in next time I’m in the area.
I’m from Gilbert and TYF actually opened a second store in Gilbert. It was great, but unfortunately it wasn’t open very long before it closed. I’m glad I can still go to Tempe and buy local. 🧶
What a lovely shop! So diverse in services and the yarn - my gosh it’s gorgeous! Will definitely check their website. Looking forward to see what you selected Natalie
I wish this was my lys. My lys wants people to pay for knit night, $10 each knit night. Has anyone else had this experience? I always thought knit night was a place where people could just knit, chat and buy yarn!! So, I was surprised to see a cost.. I haven't attended due to the cost.
@@jatraveler1277 I don't get it at all..knit nights bring in business, so it confuses me when there is a charge and all people are doing is chatting with each other and knitting, and buying yarn!!

My LYS! I remember their first tiny shop. It is really impressive how they have grown. Congratulations TY&F! Great video.
Love, love, love Tempe Yarn & Fiber! Spend my winters in AZ with my two sisters and we make sure to take a couple of trips there every year!
This is my local store! I love it!
What a beautiful sight! I'm going to talk my hubby into driving the two hours there. Hopefully I-17 will be open.
What a very knowledgeable store manager! I learned a ton just on the remote store tour!
I happy screeched when I saw this, I love this store!
What's their price range? I'm in Mesa, I picked up crocheting early May for my baby boy. So far I've been to Hobby Lobby and Joanna's for my yarn.

This the place I go to find spinning stuff in person (and sometimes just feel the yarn)!
I moved to the PHX area a few months ago and this is my LYS
Love this shop, I make sure I stop in every time I am in AZ
I live 40 mins. away and had no clue this existed. I am sure to visit soon.
Wow!! Gonna have to check it out!! It’s just across the valley from me! 😊
Great tour! Your support of these wonderful small shops is amazing.
Aww that’s what we love most about it! It’s always fun when someone local learns about s store from our videos!
Wow they have every kind of yarn. Love that.
I have been wanting to go in this store for a year!! Thanks for the tour.
I love that shop and the workers! They are so helpful. I was so sad when their second location closed though 😭😭😭

Love the video of the store. It’s an awesome store with everything you will ever need to knit, crochet, and many other crafty fiber crafts.
Terrific shop!
Love from Tucson! I need to get down to Tempe! Bravo…excellent business review!
This looks like a fantastic store! I love all the books and more budget friendly yarns. Lovely

That was the first LYS I ever visited when I was on vacation. 😍

How cool! I hope to visit one day!
Arine is really nice she's my private instructor great place
Such a fun yarn store tour! I love these!
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hi Janet!
I’m curious. Are you keeping track of all the stores and what they are known for in a database so that you can find it easily later?
I haven’t yet, but I have plans to do that eventually!
No refunds allowed there. Only store credit!!
How long are you in the area? I’m in north Phoenix would love to meet for coffee.
She filmed this weeks ago and is now many states away… Whirlwind tour :).

Yes, I found a LYS that wanted $10. a session to sit and knit. Not any instructions. Just chatting.

Oh that’s a bummer! I could understand if there is limited space or if they have an extra employee there to offer project help.
