      Yeah and for those today he lost a step in 75 I take this over any other year. Granted he practiced and they rehearsed so…lol. Wish they would have rehearsed more numbers in 75 rather than just taking it for granted. 77 really seemed page mailed in his guitar solos for the most part. I think the best 77 page show might be 6/26/77. For 77 it’s solid and is like “oh this is what he was trying to do”

      My guess is the people who came from France, Spain, Portugal, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to settle places like Louisiana probably played folk music much like Zeppelin plays here. It's weird to think of what our ancestors in the year 1700 were doing.

    Bron-Yr-Aur means "golden breast" or "breast of gold" in Welsh, as in a hillside of gold. Its pronunciation is [ˈbrɔn ər ˈaɪr]. The cottage had no electricity or running water, but the change of scenery provided inspiration for many of the songs on the album, including "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp".

The band messed up so bad they actually stopped playing. Robert said "Welcome to our rehearsal" & the crowd gave them a great amount of applause before the show continued. Page just stood there beaming smiling about the whole thing.

    There seems to be the Presence of A Life Force, whenever Led Zep performs. Whether Jimmy is playing a double-neck or acoustic or fender or Gibson; whether Bonzo is stomping or hard-drumming; whether Jonesy is playing organ or bass; or whether Plant is grooving standing or sitting on stool. • @stevebrown3179
      @stevebrown3179 2 роки тому

      I guess as he had used the guitar for the preceeding two tracks and it was in his hands that he decided it would be as quick to do it himself (all three acoustic tracks sequenced together on this tour are in different tunings!). Nowadays most musicians would have spare guitars brought out I guess !!

    His musical vocabulary was much more vast than anyone else in RnR. His sense of proportionality, when to be quiet, and when to be loud is unmatched. Asides from Jimmy Page, I also totally LOVED at one time early Clapton (Cream and Blind Faith, and maybe some random solo stuff).

      Tuned it by ear and in a loud environment u can c him with the guitar to his ear , Hendrix was the same . I’ve noticed in some of his live footage he doesn’t get it right sometimes I know he plays in Eb , when I tune by ear I always seem to tune in Eb for some reason I’m always that step off ! The joys of having tuners nowadays 🤣

    Little did the members of Led Zeppelin know, but in just shy of three months time one of the most profound events in the history of mankind would unfold. My mother was eating a greasy hotdog with chili, washing it down with root beer when she thought she was stricken with the vapors. But alas, I was making my break from the confines of her hot and muggy womb into a no less hot and humid Southern Appalachian summer day. The nurses all gathered 'round
    And they gazed in wide wonder
    At the joy they had found
    The head nurse spoke up
    Said, "Leave this one alone"
    She could tell right away
    That I was bad to the bone.
