He came through my home town and played a local rock club every year when I was in high school in the 70's. Completely out of control. Crazy good show every time!
I saw Randy in either 79 or 80 in Mesa AZ.. My friend and I stood in line for a half hour before someone told us we needed to buy tickets first. We had to buy tickets for the next show and come back. It was worth the wait. Fantastic show!
Plays a left handed Strat, right handed! LOL! I've never seen anyone do it! Legend. Didn't even think it'd be possible (tuning it, intonation and pickups). I'm blown away!
This guy seems to play a Left-handed Fender Strat right-handed. Just the opposite as Hendrix who played a Right-handed Strat left-handed. Think that has something to do with the sound being near the same?
Wow not only does he play great but his voice is similar to Jimi, who I saw in 1969 @ Devonshire Downs in Granada Hills, CA for Newport '69! Thx for posting this great video & cover!
He's a good guitar player, but I hate tribute bands. Cover bands were tiresome in the 80s and 90s but tribute bands have brought live music to a new low.
Jimi looks down and loves his / this version...
This guy is so talented! This is the closest tribute act I’ve ever seen.
check The Classic Rockshow for the cover of this song!

I saw Randy at the Paramount Theater in Seattle back in the 70s. It was a hell of a show!
Never heard of him before seeing this. He rocks!
Killer !!
du grand talent , gaucher , comme le maitre , c'est super!!.. bravo!!
Best cover I've heard.

I could have easily listened to another 30 minutes of that
Well done! The excitement is in the music.
That was serious 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶
Awesome, great talent!

Isay we have something here
Wow.
I use to manage local bands, I see this act going somewhere.
Talented they are
Fe-ckin FABULOUS.
Went can we get this guy to play glastonbury
say, that's a great take on an old Dylan song.
the drummer could never play as good as mich, he got no rythm
Die Version von DMB gefällt mir besser, sie ist nicht so hektisch wie die von Hendrix/Hanson. 🤔

Not even close to Hendrix....in singing or in playing guitar.
Damn good, checkout neil youngs version which i just recently heard, damn good as well.
