Call me what you want, but DMB’s cover of the song is the best version I’ve heard. Thank you for your comment!
Yes, the song itself has such an eerie feel to it, the Jimi took it to another level, then this takes to yet another one. It's mystical, something no artist can really make happen on their own. It's a gift, that's the best way I can put it. Always effects me the same way, no matter how many times I hear it or who does it. Particularly now, with everything that has gone on in NYC, and the world. The Great Spirit gave us this one. I'm sure of it.

Bring me back!! Lol
Amazing! What a terrific bunch of unbelievably talented musicians! Love it! Jimi's jammin' in heaven to it!
I actually like it more than the hendrix version.
DMB= GENIUS
@@mr.b.9890 it was a gift from Richie to both of them. They were Seattle buddies.
You do know it's a Bob Dylan song, right?
This is a bob dylan song that jimi hendrix loved and redid. I think this version might have trumped them all
Dave always sounds like Adam Sandler doing a Dave Mathews impressions when he sings watchtower. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Lol. You're not wrong.
@@andy42x And i see nooooo
thing wrong with that
They are good friends too.
Thanks for Ruining this for Me
I always see Tom Hanks when I try to watch him. Kind of a 5 on the Meh meter, sorry.
I wasn't a DMB fan until I watched this concert. Wow!
75 years I came into our house and I was thinking too when you hear HIMSELF. CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS
I have heard this song done so many different ways and wow....I mean....I was speechless.
Where has all the music gone? Television Children Fed. Blowing in the wind...... those were the days my friend I thought they'd never end. Thank you DMB
This is one of the best live performances I've ever heard
You need to listen to Jimi Hendrix take this one for a ride.
@@binderdundit228 two very different interpretations. Jimi Hendrix's version is legendary. This one is also incredible
@@binderdundit228 Jimi would fucking love this.
💯
There is absolutely no fat on this performance, just pure perfection from start to finish. The band jamming out is just music in it's purest form. I never get tired of them performing this song. Chills every time.
Love the diversity Dave brings to his audience it’s reunites everyone ❤
This was AWESOME. I’ve never been a huge fan of them but really liked a few songs but this is just unbelievable. One of the best performances I’ve ever seen.
Check out the live version by Pearl Jam with Neil Young.....then there is the Dylan version of this his own song with willie Nelson at Farm aid.
Beatiful, baby! Outstanding work; and supreme players! Love, love, love this!!! So briliant! Thank you, Dave and band.....love all of it!!! "...and the wind began to howl...." The brillinat lyrics of Bob Dylan; the power DMB on the end...fire! So fab! Love it! Love it! Love it!
Ong I have never seen such a performance so well done and had the passion of music into it, honestly I wish I witnessed this and people that don't know real music should see this because it's so beautiful how they did this performance. Great job guys 👏
Been listening to this every morning when I wake up...Gets the juices flowing in a good way. Hendrix and Dylan are somewhere in this universe with a huge smile on their faces...Well done DMB 👏 this is rocking on another level yall...Keep strumming, peace, and unity to all out there. ❤
Lol well Dylan is still alive and kicking, not to mention touring. I am sure he approves.
The song writing brilliance of Bob Dylan and the musical interpretation of one of the finest Musical talents of our generation.
Are you talking about Dave Mathews…
Not a fan of this type of music, or DM really at all...but I saw this DVD way back in the day and got a huge amount of respect for these guys after watching. This song in particular, man they all just kill it so friggin hard. Sh1t might not be my jam, but all the props go these fellas for being real performers and top tier musicians all around. This is some undeniable rock and roll no matter what genre youre into. Anyway, every once in a while I have to look up this track again, and it blows me away every time.
Also, Carter is a mf monster on the drums. Might go without saying, but Im saying it.
I love dave Matthews is watching his man on the violin like my boys killing it
The GOAT of live bands right here!!
Love dave Matthews! Each person is a star in their own right. Legends
COVID IS BREATHTAKING, BUT I'D RATHER HAVE MY BREATH TAKEN AWAY BY THIS AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!
Is there anyone who would prefer the former option mentioned?
I will never forget when Dave played this at Red Rocks....incredible
Red Rocks might be the greatest concert venue ever
Awesome saw him there as well
I've yet to see anyone perform at restock....bucket list for sure. . however for 39 I caught 7th row the who ...and first riser Paul McCartney...so if I don't make red rock I'll die happy anyways
Omg Dave is coming to Cincinnati next month!!! I hope to god we get a handle on this virus so Me and my wife can see my favorite band of all time for the second time. I would die of a heartbreak if I can’t see him ugh
:( sorry for the bad news
This is one of the most powerful performance ever made by human beings
Wow! This IS awesome!!! 🎧😉
`Compare to what? Along to Jimmi! Should I say, prior to...? Dylan?
There are monster you stilll don`t know about!
@@pacerodi Definitely those are more than amazing as well, and I enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed this performance by Dave. Everyone has done an outstanding job using their particular way of project and communicate this branch of the art. Moreover, Which is my personal insight, I think this performance has been one of the best, not only the cover, the song or who was the original, it just the energy and the flow that sometimes only a few can reach; and in this case Dave was one of those. Thank you for your comment!
You've been sheltered from some damn good musicians then.
I much prefer playing lead guitar myself, although I’m not anything special. But man, if I had a band this tight I would be completely ok with playing Am- G- F for 10 minutes straight while they tear it up. What a jam!
I feel this comment so hard
hey... you get to sing instead!!
I fell in love with them when I saw this for the first time. Greatest Band in the world. Period.
