Randy saw Jimi perform at Seattle's Sicks Stadium in July 1970, the overwhelming amount of inspiration is obvious. Randy has flown the Hendrix flag with the highest nobility and decorum..a true professional in every sense .

Randy's so great! Saw him in the late 70s when he called themselves Randy Hansen's Machine Gun, that's still one of the top 5 shows I've ever seen! I love how he effortlessly pulls off Have You Ever Been (to Electric Ladyland) here ❤💯

I saw Randy with Machine Gun at UC Davis in Oct of 1979 he ran up and played right in front of me, he blew my mind. My brother took me and he saw Jimi 5 times and he told me that's as close to Hendrix you will ever hear. The whole show was amazing.

I saw Randy at the Exit In (a legendary club) in Nashville in 1979 and again in 1980. Great shows, great memories. I wish he would come back this way. He is far and away the best Jimi Hendrix tribute artist out there. He not only plays the notes... he gets the SOUND.

When we first started seeing Randy in the late 70’s there was no wireless. His crew patched like 10 25’ cords end to end and he would fucking go nuts. One show he was playing on his back in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, while his rhythm section was playing Third Stone from the Sun. Amazing memories.

Saw him here in the NW in the 70's, he had a 200' guitar cord, he would work his way out in the audience while playing with a roadie behind him to take care of the cord, grab a long neck beer bottle off of someones table and play wild slide guitar and then drink what was left in the bottle, on his way back to the stage while still playing he would do a full on back flip back on to the stage without missing a note........

I held that Uni-vibe. My friend Mike gave that Uni-vibe & I played with it before he flew out to Seattle, went to Randy’s house & hung out , jammed & had a ball. That was 1984 or so. Mike, who’s the biggest Hendrix fanatic I’ve ever known, met Randy after a show in Minnesota. Her’s one you probably won’t believe. Jimi’s daughter Tamica worked for me in the 90’s. I went to her wedding. She had photos of her with Jimi’s dad to prove it. The Hendrix estate recognized her at one point. She never knew him, but I freaked out when she told me!!!!!!

    Thanks to Randy for well...
being Randy and lettin us in on how Hendrix did his thing ...
Sad to say without Him we might not really know alot from jimis stuff . Jimi was only around for like 3ans a half years and then he was gone . I realize he played a long time before but i mean the experience and band of gypsies and other than some people remembering what hendrix played or how he did this or that 50 years ago i originally was just blown away by how accurate randy was before randy i would always say whoever was good but no one can play "it " like hendrix , well randy can . Its really sad man cause its like Hendrix sister is letting Jimi Hendrix be forgotten by not letting his music be played on anything and slowly this strictly monetary move by his estate is erasing the most influential rock guitarist who changed the music of his day talk about the Beatles changing music no body knew it was possible to make such sound with a guitar. Hendrix might not have been the best technical guitar player but he will always have the best tone and ability to reach far beyond what thought was possible and to do such things in less than 3 years it was ment to be i guess. Jimi will be remembered because of this man and a few others we can hear the live sounds that died soo long ago .

@@nimitz1739 absolutely fulltone was a great builder but vintage units are unique. I've had 2 1960s univibes and one was beat up the other was mint. The beat up unit sounded waay better. I actually build pedals and amps but univibe is a lot going on.

Go way out into their own individuality to accommodate their own purpose in life.Randy is Great but it is to sustain Jimi who been done that all of that.

I saw Randy perform during a Hendrix memorial festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands, 1992, where also Noel Redding, Snowy White, the Hamsters and Buddy Miles played. I'm lucky to say my bass teacher, Walter, backed up a lot of the bands!
