- We recently went to UCLA in Los Angeles to ask college students trivia questions for a chance to win $100. The catch: they had no idea that all the questions were about veganism 🌱🤫. From knowing nothing to already being a vegetarian, we quizzed seven unique individuals across topics from ethics, environment, health, and lifestyle for the opportunity to win cash on the spot!

👋 NEW TO THE VEGAN GYM? 👋
We're on a mission to help 1,000,000 vegans get into the best shape of their lives because we believe that the more healthy, fit vegans there are in the world, the faster veganism will spread. Let’s work together to inspire change, spread compassion, and challenge the status quo.

UCLA showed up with the openness, curiosity, and respect! Great video and Go Bruins! 💙💛🐻
UCLA was an awesome place to visit! We loved speaking with the students there! 😊
I hope you will do more of these videos. As it was said, “planting the seed”, help people become more aware of the cruelty & of course environmental factors too.
Thank you for this!
Thank you, Michelle, so glad you enjoyed it! We really appreciate the feedback on creating more of these! 😊
Great video! It’s crazy how little people know about the dairy industry
Couldn't agree more, Natalie! A lot of people don't realize the amount of harm that comes from the dairy industry since it isn't as blatant as the meat industry.
This is the type of vegan activism I am here for. Gate’s open, come on in! Great content, Vegan Gym. 10/10. Looking forward to seeing this channel grow.
Thank you, beans! We're glad to have you here! 💚🌱
This is such a cool idea! I love how open people are to learning new things.
I totally agree, Sara! It was encouraging to see how many people were open to learning more about veganism! Thank you for commenting! 🌱
They were all great! Thanks for planting seeds 🌱🌱🌱
Thank YOU, Mandy! Everyone that we had the chance to talk to was fantastic. 😊
This was funny to watch 😅
This was also interesting, as I didn't know some of these things...
Glad you enjoyed - and learned some facts! 😊
I’m the one in the grey hoodie! 😀😀😀 keep up the good work guys
Wow, that is amazing! I'm so glad you found us. You had some really great answers and it was awesome chatting with you! 😄
Really enjoyed watching this video!! Thank you for all you’re trying to do to enlighten others to a healthier way of eating and living!!
Thank you, Nancy! So glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
This is one of the most genius avenues for vegan outreach i've ever seen. Great work guys!
Thank you so much for your support! 🙂
Love this. This tested my knowledge as well. I did great. This is needed. Open their eyes. This is amazing.
The one dude, "I think I'll go buy some Oreos" hahaha!!
It was a great moment when he said that! 😊
That’s me! 😀
Hey guys, would it be possible to make a tier list of foods, that are ranked by highest protein content to least protien content or broken down by cost per gram, im looking for additional protein sources to add to my pre existing diet, some vegan options i have are tofu, peanut butter, almonds, oats, i was wondering if u guys had any tier with better ideas like that , thank you!
Hey Dhut, that's a great suggestion! While we don't have that list at the moment, I did find this article which contains information on protein per serving of vegan protein options. Other than the options you listed, there is also seitan, tempeh, lentils, beans, soy curls, seeds, and TVP. www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321474#15-best-vegan-proteins
@@TheVeganGym thank you soo much, love your channel, 🙏
Lentils are a protein power house.
Great fun way to educate. 💚👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great job guys!
Thank you! 😊
Awesome, Video, love, Diana Lipski ❤️
Thank you, Diana! 😊
Great outreach. Good job.
Thank you, Teddy! 💪
Notice how omni's always say they are "trying" to change when confronted but it's the furthest thing from the truth, perhaps with some very, very minor exceptions.
Truth! 🙌
YOu're at UCLA of course they would be more open to Veganism and know the questions. Try targeting a university in the southern states, Texas and see what the outcome would be.
Thank you for commenting! We recently did a similar video in Oklahoma and we were pleasantly surprised by the positive responses. You can check it out here! ua-cam.com/video/E9ntFKZ0Mnc/v-deo.html&lc=UgzHeeyHz3ceY8ES4vx4AaABAg
Great video, the people obviously responded really positively and it planted vegan seeds. I especially think the educational questions that challenged preconceived myths were important, as opposed to the more classic trivia questions like the seitan one. However, I do think the bonus question was problematic. Yes, it is correct that for optimal nutrition, vegans need to consume B12 through a supplement, but that is true for ALL humans, no matter their diet. Up to 39% of omnivores are deficient in vitamin B12. I think the way the question was worded made it sound like a vegan diet is nutrient deficient in comparison to an omnivorous diet, which perpetuates a dangerous and harmful myth.
Hi Emma, that's a great point about how many people are deficient in B12! Our point that we wanted to make is that vegans do need to supplement either through fortified foods or another supplement, and while many omnivores are deficient, B12 is available through animal products (even if it's because the animals they're eating are given B12 supplements themselves!). Thank you for commenting! 🌱
About the combine plant foods aminoacids to make complete protein be false. Could you pls share where did you read that? The article name, DOI? Asking because veganism will be my college final presentation
Here is a link to one study regarding amino acid profiles in plants: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8172124
Thank you @@TheVeganGym
I love the man in the polo
So good! 🌱 Thank you for commenting, Jillian!
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
This video was soo refreshing to see everyone so open minded ☺️🫶🏽
Glad you found it refreshing!
This was really wholesome.
A lot of these kids were really sweet 😭 and brother with the polo hoodie was so good he might as well be vegan! Come to the dark side, fam 😂
He really knew his stuff! It was so great speaking with all of them! 😊
Did you really want to wear a jacket saying Jack Wolfskin?
yeah, it's super comfortable
Wait for them to spend the money on animal products…
Hello there,
Would you be interested in discussing your dietary approach on a live video? I believe your approach is misinforming people, and quite certainly harming them. Would you like to proceed?
Thanks,
Jonathan
Looking at your channel, it looks like you advocate for a full carnivore diet. I think someone telling you that your approach actively harms people would be more true than your statement here, as there's more evidence through history of people eating vegan and thriving than eating full carnivore and thriving.
@@Kailandra29 hi, this is also false information. We have eaten predominantly meat and animal fat for the best part of 350,000 years, as shown by nitrogen isotope testing data. It's only in the last perhaps 10,000 years has this been different. In the last 10k years, our health span has drastically decreased. Medications are keeping unhealthy people alive. Thanks for your response. I will await a response from The Vegan Gym 💪
@@carnivore-muscle Sounds like you could do with a Biological Anthropology class. This information is not factual.
@@carnivore-muscle To be clear, it's true that the majority of humans have been *omnivorous* for a very long time, as well as some pre-humans. Suggesting they subsisted primarily on meat is false, though.
@@Kailandra29 it is, I've stated data points, you haven't stated any data points. We can go back and forth all day, but the fact remains I'm asking the video creator to discuss things with me for the sake of accuracy and people's health outcomes. Good day
You guys are awesome! Way to spread the word!
Thank you, Paru! 😊
