Experimenting with the 1 on 1 "pull asides" I feel is going to go far for helping us connect with the characters in the game. Probably not something appropriate for something like the Goblin Grinder where characters are cycled through pretty regularly, but so far I feel its working well for this! Every upload so far has been a winner Tom, keep the content coming!
This is probably the best one so far- The vibes and jokes are goofy, but Tom does a very good job making sure the whole situation still feels unsettling. I'm very much inclined towards running a game or two of Mothership myself after watching this, keep up the good work!
i like that right when tom says "its the water!" ben was reaching for his mug, then kinda just held it for awhile, THEN he was the one to figure it out...
I have watched this entire session 5 times now. It's my favourite roleplay session you have ever done. It's honestly perfect and is my own dream roleplay game. Between Lydia's incredible roleplaying, Tom's atmospheric yet comedic mastery, and the perfect interplayer roleplay I genuinely cannot get enough of this. Please can you get Lydia to play this character more. The yogsquests you DM'd/keepered honestly kept me alive through lockdown, and this channel is everything I've been hoping for for years now. Thank you so much for putting this together
Ben "Sherlock" Edgar wrinkle braining Kintaro smelling bad + whatever it is causing hydrophobia + broken shower + sprinklers in the farm being obviously turned off for a while = Kintaro is infected/infested with whatever it is was amazing to watch. I had totally missed this and probably would have continued to miss it until it was spelled out to me, so props to Ben for figuring it out. Also, shoutout to Ben for being such a good player, balancing out the player meta knowledge and common sense with his player knowledge and common sense, and how he plays his character's fear of parasites against the player knowledge that putting the water down and not threatening him would probably make the situation better, his character would not risk that. Honestly props to all the players, Lyds seems newer to RPing but is getting better each game and I love her character and how she is playing it in this one, Lewlew definitely struggles with that meta knowledge but is able to reign it in, and is also playing an android super well(along with Super Seducing the crew 1 kiss at a time), and Simon is great at balancing jokes and banter with seriously playing his variety of doctors(is it just me or is Simon always some sort of doctor?) And of course Tom being a fantastic DM who lets the party have fun while also keeping things on track and spooky. Just in love with the channel, and this game in particular already feels great, and we are only 2 episodes in. Keep up the fantastic work peeps can't wait for the next episode!
Chat-GPT helped to produce these: CASPER: Cute Autonomous Salvage Probe for Efficient Recovery CASPR: Camera-mounted Autonomous Salvage Probe for Retrieval
I loved the "last time" recap being space themed this time, it'll be exciting to see any future recaps in different styles, maybe a fantasy game recapped in a crystal ball or something. Also love when tom adds a wacky character like Johnny soylant red or Killgore, always a dumb joke throwaway, and yet I always get attached to them...
I didn't realize how much I missed the bizarre chemistry Lewis and Simon share :) I can honestly say that for me, Mystery Quest is the best Yogs content in quite some time .
1:09:35 I first watched this as a podcast and now this 100 times funnier to me. I didn't realize Ben was holding a cup the entire time and waving it into all of their faces! 😂
Their was a LOADED REVOLVER in the Vent, not a good sign. A creature that doesn't like water, interesting. It would seem this facility has dug too deep.
I think one of toms strengths as a DM or maybe his style? is being able to get the players to kind of be their own story tellers. As content creators its where they shine the most and Tom really gives lots of prompts and options for them to express that
MAAAANNN this ep was so exciting!!! Amazing jobs all round. I can't believe Ben was actually spot on about the stinky guy?? I love how everything has been tying into the story and love this set of characters!! Everyone pray for Jerome!!!!
It's been years since I got so excited about a UA-cam series. I look forward to Saturdays for the release of Mystery Quest - Don't ever stop, I'll be becoming a member when I have the funds to do do! You're doing a great job Tom!
Man, been loving this channel even more than I thought I would; and this is easily my favorite Mystery Quest so far. Hell, this is competing with my nostalgia for the old Star Wars Yogsquests.
I loved the one on one segments spliced in ! These have only been getting better which is so impressive. Thank you for bringing together some of my favorite yogs again and again, here's to hoping for more Pyrion!
this is going so well as a series, i love how much love and effort there is in this production. Top, top work. Ahhh man, i was unsure of Kentaro at first but i've really grown to like him, what a sweet soft stinking giant!
Tombo i absolutely love it amazing job. Only thing is sort the playlists in reverse to how they are so they are easy to watch with just one click! Edit: The benevolent tom god has listened! All hail tom
C.A.S.P.E.R. (Computer Assisted Salvage Possession and Extraction Robot) love the channel, love the role play, love the cast. keep it up Tommusk, some of the best content i’ve seen in a long while ❤
The perfect mix of horror, intrigue and comedy! I absolutely love this, been waiting for a chance to just binge everything on here and its finally come!
Casper aka C.A.S.P.-R stands for Close aerial service/salvage platform - remote. It is a newer model of the C.A.S.P-W (wired) where a service platform and an operator were connected by wire.
As silly as this may sound, the combination of Tom's narration and the sound effects legit have me a bit paranoid as I watch this video in the dark before bed. Love it
Love this series so far. The editing with adding the audio cues and the background soundtrack for important beats seem very simple, but they elevate the viewing experience a lot for me. Can't wait for the next one.
Little late getting through all of these from the beginning but I wanted to comment and say Tom you are doing a wonderful job. These are so fun to watch and it feels professional but also like a rotating group of friends. The members content really adds a lot and I feel like will get more people into actually playing the games. I downloaded the free Mothership rule set and we are going to try it out as well!
they haven't precisely been cured of rabies, but a few people have survived by being put in comas so their spasming muscles don't kill them while their body fights the infection. It doesn't work often but when it does they usually have brain damage due to the extremely high fevers they run
Oh that was such a fun episode! The roleplay from Simon was so on point. Can't wait for the continuation... the plot thickens... or waters down? Tom's really cooking is what I'm saying and the soup's tasty.
Thanks for the videos, loved to see your session, gave inspire when to hold my own session of this scenario. I just wonder about a couple of papers on the table, beside the notes and character sheets. The pappers with black top, are thous sort of referens sheets you have made?
Loving the content Tom! Keep the good stuff coming. You guys should give lancer a look, seems like something you’d be into and I would love to see a higher quality production of someone playing it!
Loved the realization from Ben thats why Kintaro? smells so bad, and the subtle hints that the hydrophonics was wilting. This is getting so good.
Probably spelled Kentaro, it’s a real name
@@Wyattporter Kintaro is a real name to.... if you have 4 arms ^^
It's Kantaro in the zine
"Have you tried texting them?" is a great running gag
Experimenting with the 1 on 1 "pull asides" I feel is going to go far for helping us connect with the characters in the game.
Probably not something appropriate for something like the Goblin Grinder where characters are cycled through pretty regularly, but so far I feel its working well for this!

Yes this format only works if the characters are expected to live for a large part of the campaign.
I loved those parts of this episode, great music there too.
I cannot imagine Ben's character's power armour to look any different than just a mechanised shark onesie
new headcanon
This entire time I was thinking of Spartan armor, but this is much funnier.
whilst timidly carrying a cup of water lmao
I was picturing like a grisly STALKER exoskeleton power armour.
I was imagining kinda Edge of Tommorow power suit over Cadian armour
Tom you're doing so incredibly well with these- great job dude
Every time he has top tier casts. Hope this channel grows
100% hope they can keep doing this
Ben is a god dang genius
Best part of the episode was him Realising why the dude smelled so bad
Ben is _just_ the right amount of paranoid. I love it.
I wonder if Tom was expecting them to make the Kontarro-stink-water connection much later in the game as a climax
@@kingkuma4112 All that time getting murdered in TTT _finally_ taught him some healthy suspicion
Ben's shown himself to be pretty good at solving mysteries in the past. He just really puts on a goofy show
They call him Jimmy two hands because he sprained his leg during a heist. You had to be there.
This is probably the best one so far- The vibes and jokes are goofy, but Tom does a very good job making sure the whole situation still feels unsettling. I'm very much inclined towards running a game or two of Mothership myself after watching this, keep up the good work!
Took the words right out of my mouth! I even thought about playing a game of Mothership with my Brothers
i like that right when tom says "its the water!" ben was reaching for his mug, then kinda just held it for awhile, THEN he was the one to figure it out...
ben is clutching this playthrough so far
Tom continues to kill it. The asides are very clever, much respect for your prep.
This has immediately become my favorite mystery quest, amazing cast and I love the setting/system!
Yeah this cast is my favorite so far. Hope we get more with them as a group.
let's hope that this channel will not disappear with millions of views on to twitch.
I have watched this entire session 5 times now. It's my favourite roleplay session you have ever done. It's honestly perfect and is my own dream roleplay game.

Jingly John is life.
Johnny Soylant Red is the monster and I can't be convinced otherwise.

Any video with a simon and a lydia is a good video.
But only one of the Simons and one of the Lydias. Any more than that would destroy the universe.
Kentaro is a good boi.
This is absolutely the best role play Yogs have done so far, excellent job Tom. I love the suspenseful mystery in this quest!
I CAN'T believe that became a plot point. Fantastic GMing by Tom.
It'd be fun to see cosplaying like the old yogsquest or set pieces if this gets enough members
I've seen a fair amount of channel members, thanks to them I feel that is quite likely to happen.
Yoooooooogsquest!
Maybe they can do 'specials' with higher production
I loved Ben’s irl TTT Ben moment by throwing water all over the table and Lydia lmao
1:09:35 I first watched this as a podcast and now this 100 times funnier to me.
I didn't realize Ben was holding a cup the entire time and waving it into all of their faces! 😂
That realization at 1:00:00 was so amazing, I didn't think about that at all!
Their was a LOADED REVOLVER in the Vent, not a good sign. A creature that doesn't like water, interesting. It would seem this facility has dug too deep.

This is probably one of my favorite new channels
Absolutly loving Mothership! Its so fun seeing Ben here as well, and him figuring out one of the plot points by episode 2 is amazing
I can’t wait for the intro to become intricate enough that they become a whole episode!
Glad to see Jerome has been dubbed the Jingly Jon of this series
I loved the one on one segments spliced in ! These have only been getting better which is so impressive. Thank you for bringing together some of my favorite yogs again and again, here's to hoping for more Pyrion!
Bam! Loves these intros and the whole Tom Experience!
Looove the asides, including the music choice for them! Altogether a very fun an spoopy episode!

Tom, these have been great so far, and I have to say I’ve been really enjoying Lydia in these as well. Fantastic work all round.
WOOHOO MORE YPSILON 14, frickin LOVE this channel dude
Loving the solo chats, diving deeper into the psychology and creation behind each character. Their motives, and what fuels their actions.
Jerome is the new Jinglie John. Fucking love this new channel
Ben self sabotaging himself with the table lol
Followed up with him helpfully reminding Tom that the KASPR's screen is probably barely intelligble! ^^
I love players just like him especially since he spotted that Kentaro thing later.
Self-balances his insight with painful realism.
Its the difference between a roll player and a power gamer
I still can't believe Simon's character is Dr. Thrax. Is he gonna tell his 3 eyed grandchildren of his adventure that day?
He brews his own medicine.

I’ve been waiting for this to release all week, I literally checked if it got uploaded every day knowing full well it’s gonna be a week
I love that Tom still remembers that one argument with chat about whether Rabies was incurable or not.
I was there mum!
I can’t wait eventually for Call of Cthulhu but all these videos are great, Lewis and Simon together will always be welcomed with open arms :)
Loving how tense this is getting while also letting everyone still have fun
Can’t wait for the next episode, keep up the awesome work Tom
Jake following the centuries old tradition of people who call themselves colonel not actually being a colonel
I hope somebody animates/draws some of this. I wanna see waterbottle bandolier Ben.
I never expected Lydia to be the star in a TTRPG, but she's fucking blazing and I'm all here for it!
Tom’s GMing would be the perfect fit for Paranoia. Please play Paranoia
Ooh, Paranoia might be a good fit for a somewhat zany one-shot format like this. Seconded! Happiness is Mandatory!
As silly as this may sound, the combination of Tom's narration and the sound effects legit have me a bit paranoid as I watch this video in the dark before bed. Love it
It's like hearing an audio book
"Maybe a large mountain Gorilla" has absolutely destroyed me 😂😂 I'm crying with laughter.

They should have made a circle of water glasses outside Kentaro's door, to keep him from trying to leave.
I like what I'm seeing. Hacing a blast watching, and getting ideas for my own players.

I'm loving these episodes! Always looking forward to the next Mystery Quest! Fantastic work, Tom and all
Gotta say, I love the intros. They make me laugh more often than not.
Good session everyone! so fun to hear everyone play into their own version of characters, good chemistry.
Always enjoy listening to these as I paint!
I love these so very much! Especially the character explanations
Loving this content, Some the office style interviews during the game could be interesting to see how people are thinking its going
I soooo wanted Ben to splash Kentaro (Epic name RIP Miura) can't wait to see what happens next week!
