    This video is a life saver. I’m 13 and I have some elbow pain due to improper form, but this video has helped me correct my form and make me more comfortable on the mound and make me a better pitcher

    At 22 years old and wanting to go back to playing in a amateur league. I love how I am always learning. Just the slightest adjustment can be the difference between having a lot of pain and longevity.

    I know this video is old but I've always had a very bad habit of throwing with my arm since little league baseball. Trying to correct has been rough but with proper stretching and practice I've slowly been making progress and I've felt much better after practices and games. Thank you.

    I hurt both of my elbows working in my yard for 4 days straight. I was using loppers to cut palms, pulling vines, trimming trees, running a chainsaw, climbing ladders, pulling weeds, etc. That was in early August. It's now February and the pain is still there. I stopped working out and lifting weights for months, didn't do any yard work, but this pain persists when I try to lift or pull anything.

      Go see a doctor if it’s bad my man don’t wait I made the mistake on waiting on my injuries

    should the arm be relaxed during the beginning of lay back?

      Somewhat relaxed but there should be tension. You don’t want to limit your layback but it should not be passive either.

      @@OverheadAthleticshow about medial elbow soreness? After i throw maybe a day or two after I feel it where my bicep and forearm meet. Ik my arm path isnt the problem because it doesn’t drag. im on a throwing program with plyos and my velo is going up rapidly and it doesnt hurt when I do it.

    Does the arm still extend anyway to generate the power?

      I saw a study that 85% of the energy of throw is delivered throw the trunk. I would assume that disconnecting the arm from the kinetic chain will actually reduce the velocity.

      It extends but with greater rotational velocity if you flex your elbow earlier. By flexing it also allows you to protect your shoulder and elbow during the most stressful points in the throw.

      The goal for us has been to increase the level of knowledge and therefore the level of training that is being done out there.
