I always do really well selling “Milk Glass Mugs”. Also I was at a Estate Sale & purchased a entire collection of Vintage Mugs, I purchased the collection for $20.00. There were a total of 22 Mugs. I sold them all separately, they sold quick and my total profit after fees was just over $475.00. The majority of the mugs were “Cartoon/Snoopy Milk Glass Mugs”

I picked up a box of free mugs. I wanted the vintage nesting mugs, but the deal was you take it ALL... so I loaded up 3 boxes into my car and dug into it when I got home. First thing that sold was a pilgrim salt and pepper set from Publix for $20. Then the Disney mugs started going for $20 is over and over... , sold a set of 5 Epcot restaurant mugs for $65, so far a great pick up... Tree house coffee mug (brewing company in MA) sold for $70 ish... anyway it was worth the pick up BUT the nesting mugs still have not sold LOL.

I love coffee mugs so I have bought a ton over the years! They are usually a slow seller for me, but I've also found signed pottery mugs that sell faster when I know who made it. I would never have guessed pharmaceutical mugs would go for that much, wow! I live in WA so I see a lot of Starbucks mugs, and yep our Goodwills still price 'em high 🙄 I'll have to be on the lookout for those travel mugs though and see if I can find ones worth picking up 😄 ~Caroline

This is my best selling category but mine are generally priced in the $15 - $18 range and not a lot of profit after fees (I sell on Poshmark). This has to be a miracle! On Friday March 31st I went to an estate sale and saw 5 very interesting mugs priced at $8.00 each. I really liked their look, but decided to take my chances and come back Saturday for the 1/2 price day. These mugs were on some shelves placed in the garage so thought perhaps that price was a little high for where they were placed in the sale. There were a couple resellers checking comps, but none looked at the mugs. (To my disappointment two of the other items I had looked at were snatched up immediately!). I am fairly new at reselling and am too embarrassed to check comps-I go by gut instinct most of the time. I woke up early Saturday morning and decided to watch a couple UA-cam videos. I had never seen your channel before, but somehow it appeared on my playlist. About midway through your video I came wide awake when you showed the exact same mugs I had been looking at-5 Lindt Stymeist mugs-4 yellow and one blue! I hurriedly got dressed and made it to the sale just before it opened. I rushed to the garage and amazingly the mugs were still there. What a find! If I had not turned on the TV, had you not appeared, I would have never known the value of these mugs! (But probably had bought them anyway because I loved the style.). THANK YOU!

Going by your gut will not be profitable. Taste and branding is so versatile that you will lose more than you win. Ask me how I know 🙀😫😳🙂 (As a labeled Diva vs self appointed. I have good taste, everyone else not always). You probably have great taste, and choose good but it’s crazy what people value/ don’t value. Best of luck!

Excellent information and examples. Also wanted to note to be mindful of searching comps online for mugs and keep in mind if it seems too good to be true - it might very well be. Many mug listings are going the way of beanie babies and being used as a way for foreign transfer of money. Do research, know your niche and use common sense so you don't end up with a ceramic deathpile. This video is an awesome resource for gaining knowledge and starting to ID BOLOs.

I have a foot in both camps….I have quite a few listed under $15- bc it’s an ‘easy spend’ for a Customer coming in at $25- with postage. I dislike packing them though as they’re quite time consuming….I like to box them & send them in a satchel to keep the postage down bc they’re quite weighty & more expensive to send in a box sans satchel….Unfortunately, the satchels are SMALL hence the aggro factor….! Haha….I LOVE selling Dunoon Mugs….The quality is FABULOUS & they’re a narrower Mug making it somewhat easier to pack….! As always Lovey, GREAT video….!!!!!😊😊👊🏻❤️❤️

The ones that are found in Pier 1 and walmart are not desirable unless they are Disney, Halloween, etc. My most expensive mug has sold for $50+ and over, and it was quite unusual. I price my mugs at $25-+ and up with best offer and take nothing less than $10 depending on what I paid.

Scandinavian = Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and depending on if you're Icelandic or not, Iceland (hee hee)... Iceland is a hybrid of Norwegian and Danish but substantially rooted in the British Isles thanks to the massive amount of women-stealing the slave trading Vikings did on their way to Iceland. Jerks.

I sell cat mugs they sell great especially when they are from England.
It was during lock down, however at the time I sold gorgeous porcelain tea mugs with Siamese cats and they sold for $45 each Cdn.
I just wish the collector plate market was as lucrative...I have plates with cats but can't seem to sell a decorative plate to save my life, my offical "kiss of death" item! Me too! I'm lucky enough to find originals in my area, they were a bigger mug in addition to the different mark, but they all sell. I just sold 1 the other day. My sister even owned 2 that she bought back in the day when they used to sell on tables set up on the sidewalk in Berkeley. Always happy when I find one out in the wild.

@@charlottemccaig578 That's amazing. I think they had a deal to sell in a department store too. Macy's or Bullock's? My mom handed me down a bunch that she collected in the 70s and 80s. Yeah the vintage ones are heavier, bigger, and have the circle "Japan" mark.

They sell $30 per. Pc. How can ya pass up free $30bucks per cup? Sum go for way more. Age doesn't necessarily mean $.
Funny thing is I found 3 fire kings at same place for $3. Pc. They sell bout 15-20. Lol.
