I have a Le Creuset coffee mug (found while thrifting) and it is the best mug that I have ever used. The engineering that went into this mug is PERFECT (for my hand anyway). Mine is just plain white but would never sell it. Love it too much.

As thrifty as I am, I’ll have to hold info any Le Creuset mugs I hopefully find! I wouldn’t pay these prices, but if I find them thrifting, they’re mine. Lol
Ember mugs are quite expensive in the stores. Chargers are often separate about $40. The rose gold retailed for about $150. Taller travel mugs are $200 retail. Grab them if you see them out there!! That rose gold is beautiful and sold out at the store I work at 🙂

Yaaassssss! I've sold two Xanax mugs! Got them for .50 each at an estate sale! I had no idea, and my jaw hit the ground when I got home and comped. I feel so cool now. 😂😂😂😂😂

Yes, the Embers have been around for several years. They took the place of the little mug hotplate that people used to sell as a novelty item to keep your coffee hot on your desk at work or wherever. 😁

Love the mug video! Another great mid century brand of mug that sells for high dollar is HORNSEA. Mugs are beautiful classic MCM. I have a hard time parting with them once I find them.

I so, so appreciate you research videos. I especially loved the t-shirt and hat ones recently, especially seeing the tags as part of it. Mugs are great because they are often so darn cheap that it's a reasonable risk to pick them up. And if you're wrong, you have a usable item until you are sick of it. 🙂Thanks so much!

I was mentally taking issue with how you were pronouncing "Le Creuset."
I had always thought it was "lay croo'say" not "lah croo'say."
It turns out that it is neither! 😮
To be proper, you should actually say: "LUH-CROO'-ZAY," with the emphasis on the middle syllable, not the last. There is also a "z" sound as opposed to an "s."
(Give yourself a pat on the back anyone, if you have been saying it right!)

Great Video! It has never mattered to me whether it is a set of 4 or only 1, if it really catches my eye, I will pick them up. I have found some good Starbucks mugs and they did sell quickly. You teach us so many different and invaluable things about reselling. May I offer something that might be helpful to you?
I’ve noticed you making the same pronunciation error over and over, and it’s a simple thing, so I thought that maybe I could help you with it.
Living where you do, I’m sure that you’re immersed a bit in Spanish. I am pretty fluent in Spanish, but English is my first language.
Because you are exposed to so much Spanish, that’s probably where the error came from.
“La” is the Spanish feminine form equivalent of the simple word “the” in English. I’m sure that you’re aware of that.
The error comes when you’re talking about items made by Le Creuset. Le Creuset is a French company. The “e” in “Le” sounds like the “e” in egg. Not like “a” in “La”.
I realize that this sounds like a little thing, but to someone who speaks French or Spanish, it’s pretty distracting…kind of like nails on a chalkboard, even. And you do this pretty often, many times it’s more than once per video.
I know that you want to have a quality presentation…one that draws people in, not pushes them away.
So, I do hope that this little tidbit of information will be helpful for you. I know that many more great videos lie ahead, and I’m looking forward to watching each one. 😊

I don't normally message in here, but I found your info very useful. Went out to one store yesterday and found these (this was my eBay ad) - Juliska Jardins du Monde Ruby Garden Green Set Of 4 Mugs RARE - Hard To Find. Sold first thing this morning for $80. I paid $4.99 for the set.
Watched your glasses video, and went to another store today and found 7 Culver green/18k gold mid century tumblers - paid $20 in total. I would expect to pull at least $100, maybe 2 sets of 2 and 1 set of 3. THANK YOU!

Keep a look out for Cheryl's Cookies brand mugs! I got a Cheryl's Cookies OSU Buckeye mug in a box lot at an auction. Paid 12.50 for the whole lot. The mug sells for over $100. Looks like all Cheryl's Cookies mugs designs go for quite a bit.

After watching this, I went to Goodwill the next day and found 3 anthropology and 1 Molly Hatch mugs!! Total cost was $4.50!
And, I also found some Starbucks mugs for $1 each. One is marked Korea.

I love coffee mugs, I always pick up the Starbucks mugs and group them in a set of 4. Rae Dun always, and any coffee mug with any sort of characters or fancy patterns. Pottery Barn always, Pier one always. As long as they are heavy. The lightweight ones chip too easily and I haven't found one worth any significant amount of money.
Went to an Estate sale on the second day and the place was pretty much cleaned out went into the kitchen to see if there was an off chance there were any mugs, looked around and wouldn't you know! Right behind me there was a built in the wall shelf system and there were 15 StarBucks mugs! I nearly screamed like Homer Simpson.
Anything Tiffany/Hermes is always going to command high dollar so if you are lucky enough to get them cheap kudos to you. All the Estate sale and garage sale people know their stuff where I live :)

Just FYI- those ghost mugs are all over ebay at this point and not $85 anymore. Pottery Barn sells 4 for $60. So the market is shifting on these, like all things do. (it was May when they were $85).

Interesting that the 2 Ke Creuset mugs you mentioned in the 2022 sales have both sold for way less in the last 90 days in 2024. Any ideas as to this trend?
No way to know what causes it it changes so much over time perhaps everyone home and not going out from covid raised some prices then
A lot of the catalog/ high-end stores branch out into kitchenware and a wide range of products. It's worth looking at the bottom of a cup because it could be from a high end brand. Some are marked by individual artists too which adds to the value. Another thing to look for is signed pottery from unknown artists or local artists. People sometimes pass them by because they aren't well known and they figure they have no value. However I've sold a lot of signed pottery pieces by unknown artists for a good amount of money because they were handmade and people like handmade stuff.

I'm just getting started collecting again, I didn't realize the demand for stuff like this until I started watching the videos and seeing what they are worth. My collection is small though, right now I have 16 Starbucks cups, which consist of Mugs, cups and tumblers and I also have 8 A&W mugs, those I cherish the most, I'm also collecting Disney cups, Star Trek and Star Wars etc. I'm having fun doing this too, trying to avoid what could be junk.

A couple years ago, I had a Rae Dunn (Made in China with an "M", I think, on the bottom??) that I paid under $2 for. Sat on mu shelf until one day by chance I was flipping through the completed listings, higher value items, and I saw one for almost $900. Ran home and listed mine. Sold instantly for over $850 + ship. (I almost sold it at the flea market for $5...yikes!)

Heath Ceramics is located in Sausalito, CA right across the Golden Gate Bridge anything Heath is expensive and a BOLO. I work in Sausalito and visit their showroom/factory all the time.
