I have a set of Nautica flannel king size sheets. They are new still in package. I have had these listed for, at least, a year. Paid $25. I have them currently at $39. Still no interest. I think they are a holiday set - white background with red, grey, and black plaid. I am going to try appealing to quilters as one commenter suggested.

Hope you are feeling better soon! I’ve been very unmotivated myself. Hope I can shake it off soon. I just wanted to say I belong to quite a few “recycled” home-sewing clothing Facebook groups. At the rate those folks are chopping up the vintage sheets I feel like they will all be gone sooner than later. It wouldn’t be so bad except a lot of the resulting clothing is just a mess. One poster showed STACKS of 1970’s sheet sets new in the package (they had belonged to a relative) asking for suggestions on what to make out of them. It really broke my heart. 😢

I just got done listing a lunch of my father-in-law’s vintage sheets (He passed away.) He didn’t have any of the really high dollar ones, but he had some decent ones.

Enjoyed the video, sorry you're feeling punky. I dont find a lot of sheets at thrifts anymore but i did have a bunch in an online estate sale i did. The random flower pillowcases, not high end, i put in a flower lot and they sold. The florals, animal print, and seashell ones have done well for me. A side option if you find your sheet has a stain, is worn or torn in one spot i tear them into strips of fabric ribbon or junk journal craft lots. It beats just throwing away. I've always bought/sold sheets, etc. Th biggest problem is, of course, sizing. New mattresses are much deeper than old ones so vintage fitted sheets will not fit. You can always use a top sheet as your fitted which is what many people do. I use key words of sewing and fabric when I can on kids vtg figurals, especially the fitted and even when elastic has sprung. I just got some gorgeous Monique Lhullier for Pottery Barn Queen pieces. Duvet cover, top, bottom but only 1 pillowcase. Got another nice PB Teen, too. Naturally I gravitate to Ikea. Got a great retired pattern twin duvet cover and some rare fabric. To me it's all fabric, lol. A king top sheet is equal to approx 7 yds. If you find an all cotton, nice and soft vtg king, market it to quilters! They make great quilt backing and those who machine quilt/longarm are happy to use them. Some hand quilters and hard core oldsters won't use them but as long as the thread count is lower they work out beautifully. My parents had the Monet set so every time I see them I smile. Take care of yourself. I got sick for the first time in 15+ years last month. Mine started with a sore throat, drippy nose, aches. By the second day I had a fever of 102 and could barely swallow. My sister was hospitalized (different reason) so I couldn't visit her at all. I COVID tested 3 times but all were negative. Once the sinus gunk finally broke up,which was also causing the sore throat, I started feeling better. Took about 4 days. That stuff was a color I didn't know it could be, seriously. There is so much going around including another COVID variable. Take Tylenol if you can and do it right away, every 6-8 hrs. It helps. My fever lasted 2 days and I have never in my life had a temp that high. Took about 2 weeks before it was all cleared up but those first few were miserable. Seems to spread quickly so be prepared for the rest of your humans to get it. I honestly don't get colds/flu, maybe 3 times in the past 40+ yrs and even I got hit, lol

I rarely see NOS sheets. The thrift stores around me usually don’t have high end brands of linens either. Maybe I’ll get lucky one day. Thanks for giving me some ideas of what to look for if I ever come across any. 😊

The summer slow down is over for me, and I'm going to start listing Christmas to have some up by Sept...when people statistically start holiday shopping. BTW, Energy levels have to do with the atmosphere/earth/sun/all that...everyone is feeling it. The schumann resonance is very high.

Good morning from Tucson! I've been enjoying your videos for awhile and thought I had subscribed but I usually watch on TV and there'd no way to do that so I checked on my phone. Now I'm subscribed ☺! I enjoy the randomness of your finds, I'm the same way. I do primarily on line estate auctions locally because I don't find much in our thrifts and I actually hate shopping 😮. Now with a back issue that makes it even more difficult. I buy a lot of mystery bags and boxes for no more than $10 and while some have been nothing but old holey bed linens (not sure how these Co's can do that) the others make ip for it. One recent auction was 3 huge boxes of holiday decor, all high end Halloween, Christmas, and valentines. Sold a hallmark collector stocking for $40 in 48 hours, paid for the whole sale plus. Thank you for your informative videos, it's always like chitchatting with a friend, I like the style of them! I'm sorry you're feeling sluggish and off your game, someone here mentioned perimenopause I wasn't sure if you had said something about that but yes I understand. Went thru menopause 12 years ago (I'm 62) and I can relate. I swear I was having hot flashes again a couple of days ago! Hang in there and be easy on yourself ♥. I have a bunch of older like Victorian style patterns, all new uncut in original packaging, they look old but I do t know when they were made, I can only find a few online available anywhere. I can’t find anything about them so I don’t know how to price them. Anybody have any idea?? Any info is helpful!! They are 1860-1890 era. I don’t think they were made then but I have no idea. They’ve been in storage in totes for many many years.

I would be interested in hearing your opinions on all of the platforms, but especially Etsy! I sell quite a bit there, but occasionally they will have a glitch which throws a wrench in the works.

So.. I was using FLYP if you remember me, I have since started to use List Perfectly because I got a free month. I'm only into 45 days of it so trying to get all of my things imported is taking some time. With the use of LP, I started cross listing to Grailed and Kitzen . I haven't made any sales on either yet. I have made a couple of sales where I could use LP to mark solds. I have to look further into it, but I thought LP was supposed to automatically delist sales. I have yet to see that happen. I've still not listed my flatware lol

I sale mostly hard goods. A lot of it but not all is vintage. I’d like to try another platform but I don’t feel I’m ready for multiple platforms or a cross listing service. In your opinion would Poshmark be the best site for me to branch out onto.

Your subject is very timely as I, and other resellers (I’m certain), are toying with expanding our reach to other sites other than eBay. I only sell part-time but have a huge amount of inventory to list. I currently have 888 items in my eBay store but sales are soooo slow. I’m hesitant to learn all new platforms but am seriously considering my options. Thanks for all of your efforts in making these videos. They are most appreciated.

I just inherited a boatload of ties and was curious about maybe selling some. Im not real savvy on using Ebay, but teally enjoyed your research video. Now i will need a week or more to sort through my new treasures. If i find any good ones. I may be back to get your help on the next steps. 😊 .

Nice video and helpful information. I just listed my first hats last night. The category interests me for several reasons. HOWEVER, I have no bins near me and am typically paying $3 and UP for each hat. So that is a reall barrier to making anything if it is going to sell under $10. I'm not giving up but I will have to get more creative in this category. Even then, there are some cool surprises I can see. Thanks!
