I love selling mugs! I’ve never found any super valuable ones you’ve shown here. I often get messages from buyers thanking me for having that one favorite mug that they broke, lost or whatever. It’s really heartwarming. I pick them up for $1, sales prices are usually $12-$20. Not retirement money but it’s enjoyable to me.
I love selling mugs too, but have to be very careful with Disney mugs. Some are good sellers some are duds. I like to get them in lots to sell.
I believe you can't just find these and sell em. I truly believe there are more factors that come into play.
After watching one of your videos a couple of years ago, I started looking at mugs. I found 3 at a thrift for $.75 ea. 2 were the same, so I bought the 2 different ones and left the 3rd. After I got home and looked them up, I went back and bought the 3rd one. I think they were made for Peets Coffee by an Asian artist. I wasn't sure how to price them, so I auctioned starting at $20. I did each one separately, but the 3 mugs sold for $187!
That’s amazing! Congrats on the wise decision to auction them if you’re unsure of the worth.
Wowza! Good job!
Do you still sell used mugs??
I would never expect pharmaceutical mugs to sell for so much. Thanks for sharing.
Coffee mug addict right here!!! My husband said NO MORE!!! But I love them!!! They make me happy! I pull out the one according to my mood lol
Know your addiction! Which one when depends on mood.
My husband just found a Headless Horseman Death Wish mug at a thrift store for $2.99! Thanks for the informative vids!
I (death) wish I'd seen this video 2 weeks ago. I found a Death Wish mug at Goodwill with an Apache helicopter in a sunrise and sold it in 2 hours at $20. I should have listed it for more. lol.
I started selling mugs bc of you. I picked up a yellow mug in the shape of a pancreas smiling. 67 cents. I sold it for 20. She lives in a rual area and was so happy to find something for her diabetic doctor.
Look how great you are doing! You’ve never looked better. And I don’t mean your make-up, I mean your energy. All of it, your energy, being. Even the way you speak is so much more in tune to your experience instead of carrying someone else. You’re in sync. Love to see it and happy for you! The world is at your feet. 💗 Can’t wait to see what’s to come.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for your videos-so fun, specific, and easy to follow! I just started selling and made my first sale on day 8. Your videos have been INVALUABLE!
I pick up every Starbucks mug, Hallmarks mugs, Renassiance style mugs, and lookup all vintage mugs.
I'm so glad I found your video. My heart jumped a few times, as I have seen many of these and choose to pass them up. Pretty much the unique, quirky and strange are valuable ❤ Going to go watch another 🎉
Glad it was helpful!
This is Andrea from ecomfam! I’m new to this and my husband Edson has been selling on eBay for almost 20 years but is just now revamping/restarting on UA-cam..I found this video super helpful and has given me some ideas on more items to look for. I appreciate you, thank you! New subscriber and follower now!
I have sold sooooo many mugs! Average sale price has been around $25 each. Disney, Starbucks, Rolling Stones, Studio pottery mugs (hand thrown), Rick and Morty, Mugs from Broadway Shows. I just listed a Harry Potter mug, so far no nibbles.
This is an eye opener! 👀 I cannot believe the prices on some. You would not believe the coffee cups/mugs that are thrown away where I work! Years ago a friend & coworker of mine used to tease how we should open our own coffee house & give away a mug with every purchase! Lol. That's how many we'd receive & throw into the landfill on a regular basis. Unbelievable! ☕
Well first of all you look very well rested and happy!!!
Secondly ... I have coffee mugs for every holiday ... I am a mug hoarder!!
The mugs at Goodwill used to be 69 cents and 99 cents. Now they are two dollars and up. So I've gotten a bit more selective about what I get.. Thank you for the awesome video. I'm gonna watch the mug packing vid now.
So far my best mug has sold for $85. I have had several sell for over $50. Mugs are my absolute favorites to resell. I want to say you were the one who originally got me looking at mugs to resell. I think you had a video around 2019 that I watched that got me started.
I sold a Deneen mug that was apparently a cult item associated with Breaking Bad. I wouldn’t have known but my daughter was in the thrift shop with me and recognized it. Good to see that there are others by that company that are BOLOs.
Hi Margaret! It’s pronounced “Dah-NEEN”. It’s my favorite one to pick up!
I know I've seen them at the thrift store. But I never give them a second look I will now though.
@@erinmaxwell8133 Make sure to look them up first. They take orders from companies for their mugs, so you want to make sure it's a good subject. I buy and flip every single one I find but some are slow to sell.
Oh thank you!
I have found German Christmas Market mugs and military mugs in my thrift stores; I love hearing stories about the meaning to the buyer.
I love mug videos, thought about making my own, but you made a better one than I could do! I especially love Taylor & Ng mugs, I found a naughty bunny one in the last year or so, but they were inside hearts on the graphic! I think it was a valentine's day thing. Pretty rare, so I sold them for $80 I think. I think everyone knows the Starbucks thing by now, I rarely find them anymore.
I haven't been selling mugs, however I have been buying for a few years and have a nice back stock waiting for listing. I have at least 7 Far Side mugs and more than a dozen different Starbucks mugs along with a variety of Fire King and artist signed mugs. I need to buy some boxes for shipping and make certain that I get the weights correct. Thank you for the reminder with this market research insight!
Hi Margaret! I pick up mugs all the time and happen to pick up two Deneen pottery mugs yesterday and listed them. I have sold some as well! Still on the hunt for a Death wish one! I would have to go look at my spreadsheet but have done well with some of the Starbucks too! I love mugs and have a hard time parting with them.
My Starbucks coffeemug is one of my all time favorites!!!☕️
My first ever eBay sale was a Midvale School for the Gifted mug 😊
Margaret! I did not expect that couple to pop up there. “Mugs are for lovers.” 😂
😂😂
Thanks Margaret! Great to have you back. ❤
Thank you! That really means a lot
Hi there, I am someone who has paid around $30 for a used mug. I can't remember the exact name, but there is a Harry Potter collab with the company OwlCrate and I think about 500 made for each book. Haven't check comps since I bought mine a few years back, but they were selling for $20-$60.
Really enjoyed this video. I recently picked 5 Le Crusset mugs at $5 each. Did not look them up thinking, “no brainer”. I’ll be lucky to get double. You just never know. 🤷♀️
I used to make a ton of $ selling mugs! They are great fun!
Wow I love this video. You originally got me interested in mugs so I am going to go look at your other older videos. Always seems to be an abundance of mugs at Goodwill bins and I sometimes think the glass is not as popular as clothing....thanks you look great!!!!!
Thank you so much~ I am just getting started and have been buying anything (almost) that would turn a profit. This would be a really cool niche! Great information
I found a white Dior white porcelain mug cost me $.99 at goodwill, sells at Dior $195.
I really love how you’re doing these! ❤ keep em coming!!! 💗 thank you! I’ve missed seeing your videos!
@brittanywilson4857, Thank you so much!
I found a “Toonces the Cat Who Could Drive a Car” (Vintage SNL) in original box. It was 2.99 at GW, sold it for $45.00. I was shocked, as it was one of my very first EBay sales! I could not find one ANYWHERE to compare prices with. It sold fast so maybe I priced it too low? Haha 😅
I’m a new subscriber and binge watching your incredible videos. I’m so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much!
PS: I just sold a Pfaltzgraff Bunny handle bread box for $100. They go for sooo much more but needed the quick sale (some are over $200) I got it for 14.99 at GW. Yay!
This is such great info, Margaret! Thanks so much! Always nice to see your smiling face!
Great video! I pick up mugs all the time can really pay off! Milk glass and fire king are good sellers!
I will be taking a closer look at coffee mugs from now on. Great video.
Excellent job putting all this together - I'm fairly new to reselling and don't know much at all about mugs so really appreciate you sharing and all the hard work you put into it.
@krisk4513, Thank you so much!
I recently found a vintage Saks Fifth Ave mug. It’s so cute!!
Plus selling a pink owl mug was my FIRST ebay sale! Later I found its brown brother owl cup and sold that too!!! The pink one was out of my cupboard.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing with us and so happy to see your happy face. I think I will be on the look out for mugs again.
Yay! Thank you!
thanks for the info! also great editing, the couple "getting a room" I DIED LAUGHING!
😂😀😂
I sold that exact Jack Skellington mug recently. I’d LOVE a snoopy milk glass mug! I’m a long time snoopy lover. Lol
I learned about selling mugs from you a few years ago. Since then I have sold bunches.i love the hunt! Thanks!
That is awesome!
Hi I’m so glad your talking about mugs again 😅👏🏻👏🏻 I have a lot of them thanks to you from you last vídeos I need to put them up !
I have sold cute ones in the past.
Thank you! This is an area that I used to avoid. I did find a Starbucks and sold it for less than $20. I will be on the lookout for some of these other brands mentioned.
I go often to thrift shops collecting Starbuck cups etc. my eyes will grow bigger the next time I go.
I don't always just pick up brands living in a poorer area we don't have a lot of the fancy brands. I choose my mugs by what is on them, also if I can get a set, it seems like I can't keep plain white mugs in stock. I have over 500 mugs and will be culling some of them out this spring. Anything over 2 years old will have to go. Since most mugs here are fifty cents I am not loosing money. Thanks for the video.
I have al Illinois Starbucks cup but I love it I have been using it ! Hopefully I will be selling it soon 🥰 Have lots of Coffee mugs but no more than 20$ I will be on the look out for the ones you mentioned. Thankyou 🙏
Just wow, Will definitely keep my eyes open for these mugs and brands. Thanks for the info.
Definitely a category I need to improve on. Great video!
I likie donut shop and advertising mugs, Fire King.. I don't even drink coffee but still love mugs.
I sold a vintage USMC mug for 49.00. 😊 I always look at mugs. I’m kicking myself though cause I left a death wish coffee mug on the shelf at the thrift store but I swear I checked for value. Maybe that one wasn’t valuable.
Hi Margaret, you helped me value my mug collection. I love my cups, I have fav's for different coffees, I use different materials based on seasons...In winter I like cups that keep my coffee hot longer, summer I like mugs with lids (Bugs...lol) I have a huge selection of glass tea cups lol, glass because I like seeing the color to get my favorite strength. I have morning mugs, high tea mugs, Party mugs, chocolate mugs, and latte gadgets galore, shot glasses for Kambocha... it's a thing and I could never have enough. I bought a few from your store. Unfortunately, when my day comes, I could see my 3 girls and 3 grandgirls fighting over my mugs before my jewelry. lol
TIP, nowadays I have to pay attention to mug handles...I have rheumatoid arthritis that causes my hands to curl and go stiff during inflammation. It's a very common condition. Example. any mug or cup that has Otagari (Japan) mug style handles...put in your title. Handle is Rhumatic hand friendly or just Rhumatich Hand Friendly.
Thank you for the advice!
If, for example, you pick up a good shape, American or Italian - whatever is the go, made boring mug and printed pharma type brand name advertising on them, how would that sell do you think? If legal problem, put my or not or similar in front of the brand. You got me pondering as you often do thank you.
Wonderful content, Ty!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This makes me want to run to the thrift store!!!
Bennington pottery mugs (and all their other stuff) from Vermont are great to keep an eye out for too!
Thank you!
IVE SOLD SOME GOOD MUGS ... starbucks mugs ive made good money on
I sold a bunch of Starbucks mugs and made about $300. Some of these I had no idea. Thanks!
I loved this video! Amazing! Thank you! You look and sound great!
I love to sell mugs, too! I have a naughty bunny mug that I need to list. I love to sell them. So funny!
This is really interesting. Thanks!!
Welcome!
WELL, I WILL BE TAKING A CLOSER LOOK AT COFFEE MUGS NOW! WOWSAA!!
I need the Fireking Bufferin mug.
Remember when Rae Dunn went off the shelf like crazy? Those were the days. At the place where I worked, we had people calling everyday to see if Rae Dunn had just come on.
Right!!! I see it out all the time now!
I needed this because my instincts with mugs are SO BAD, LOL. I must have picked up at least 50 or so different ones in the past few years, that I thought, "Oh now THIS one just HAS to be valuable!" (without checking Solds because I only do that if the investment needs considering ....but 50 cents, a dollar? Eh!). Problem is, it's NOT just the money; now I have all a whole mug mountain death pile!! 😆
The less valuable ones can be sold in mixed lots, especially if they have a common theme or similar colors.
I have a Starbucks Banff Coffee Mug from the Global Icon Series. I sold one a few years ago so was surprised that they now sell in the $40.00 to $50.00 range. Still a good deal if you only pay a couple of bucks.
I’ve sold some amazing art pottery mugs, $40-$65
THIS IS CRAZY -I KNOW GINNY SIMS! We were in the same circle of friends in Arkansas in our 20's and I know she's a potter but I didn't know she was a BOLO potter!
I just sold a Sacramento County Sherriff beer mug for $60
Yes I sold a disney starbucs mug it was a you are here epcot for like $35
I sell mugs it's a bread & butter addition to my business I have had four that have sold $75-$110 range. I sell multiple categories my group that leading this year are my books category.
I love coffee mugs and I also collect so
Many lol. But never think about selling used mugs because of them being used.
Great video. 🎉 I just subscribed to your channel.
I sold a Starbucks Aruba mug for $75 this past summer.
I sold a Disney Space Mountain mug for $25; paid $1 for it at Goodwill.
I bought 7, 30th anniversary of Spider Man comic books unopened still in the plastic wrap, for 1 dollar each, I looked them up and are 500$ each.
That's awesome!
Some of the mug here say brand new, from where we get them brand new?
Wow good money with mugs. So what is the best way to store them tell they sell.
I just sold 2 McCartney dogs mugs & a Basset hound Big face mug
Pretty much any pharmaceutical will sell. Some of them you have to batch up but I put them to the side such as pens, desk accessories, etc. But, Viagra and Narcotics can go for hundreds.
I love selling mugs. I like buying them, I like drinking coffee from them. Go figure. I’ve been listing quite a few the past couple days. I’m on a roll. I’ve got a box with air packs and bubble wrap next to the scale and I’m just switching out mugs as I list them, so that I have the proper weight. One of my favorite mug sales was a clear glass Pyrex measuring beaker that was a coffee mug . It probably had been given out to a client or at a scientific conference. It was funny and had a cartoon on it. It didn’t sell for the big bucks I thought it would but still did great. I think I made $60 in profit with it. Another one I absolutely did not want to give up!!! Boohoo! What I do with all of my mugs is a measure the capacity. A lot of the older mugs only hold 8 ounces. Now I don’t want a list. I just wanna go buy more mugs and I have tons to list in boxes along with hats and all kinds of other goodies.
You look good. I felt so bad for your break up. But I finally wanted to watch you again. I’m so glad. You’re back to your old self again. But this time. Your a live, vibrant, and still very beautiful. The first medicine made mind worst. But it looks like you’re on the right meds now. Yay. Ok quick question, are rhinestones crystals? Sonia
Are you okay? Do you need to talk with someone. Stop trolling.
Great video, thank you!!!
Glad you liked it!
I just picked up that ember mug in the broken listing. I think mine may be broken too. It comes on, it pairs, but it won’t charge up.
Good luck!
Great video T
Very helpful. Thank you
I love selling coffee mugs
Loved the video - ❤ JoAnn
Thank you for this.
Any time
How are folks shipping mugs with the USPS changes?
KILLER VIDEO .... 🙂
I’ve heard other resellers say that they stopped picking up single mugs. I have a Beatles mug listed on Posh if anyone is interested.
I found a Far Side Mug for $1 and made a good profit off of it at Christmas. The same with one Starbucks "Been There" mug, and a silly bigfoot mug. I agree about Starbucks and Disney, they are a hit or miss. The problem I have been having is, Unfortunately, what was selling big before Christmas (mugs I still have listed with way competitive pricing) has come to a screeching halt now in January. That has been the most aggravating thing to me. Lenox, Villeroy and Boch, Town and Country, High end porcelain......STALE. The good thing is I didn't invest huge in these items, but I would love to know what other Mug sellers are doing to get the stalemate gone. Is there a season to selling mugs? I can't seem to find a video on the seasonal side of things. I love coffee and therefore love mugs; it's the reason I sell them. Anybody out there got a video with seasonal selling advice?????
I just wait things out. January can be slow depending on what you are selling.
I collect coffee mugs! LOL
Excellent👍
Thanks for the visit
Those you went thru are they all marked or signed?
Yes
Looks like an awesome tattoo. What is it if I may ask?
It's a chrysanthemum with a bee & praying mantis
@@TexasGalTreasures that is awesome. Love praying mantis. Ty for answering me.
What about jadite mugs i neveer see them even in thrift stores
Thrift stores have for many years keeping the cream of the crop and no all about these videos and still sell good stuff but not in my area.Garage sales are better most estate sales sell good mugs as well
Thank you
You're welcome
thx
