How Gut Bacteria Diversity Improves Health
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 тра 2024
- In this video I discuss how the gut microbiome plays a crucial role in our overall health, including inflammation and atherosclerosis. By maintaining a diverse gut flora, we can regulate our immune system and minimize the risk of chronic diseases. A healthy diet rich in whole foods, fibers, and omega-3 fatty acids is essential to support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and improve gut function.
Additionally, the gut-brain axis also plays a significant role in our health. The vagus nerve connects the gut to the brain, and the bidirectional communication between the two can impact both our physical and mental well-being. By addressing gut health, we can improve symptoms of various conditions, including cardiovascular issues, as well as postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
To maintain good health, it is essential to focus on improving gut health, increasing the diversity of gut bacteria, and consuming a nutrient-dense diet that fosters the growth of beneficial bacteria. This can not only reduce inflammation and the risk of chronic diseases but also improve the overall quality of life.
Hope you enjoy!

When a medical doctor connects the dots, there’s hope. Sir, you’re on the right track to crack the mystery of keeping healthy.
You are a scammer. Dr Pradip would not respond this way
@@TinLizzy1 They target certain people who they think are vulnerable. I know them well.
Agree 100%.
Who?
One of the best ways to balance your gut is to do some extended fasting to get rid of the gut bacteria that unbalance the gut. These usually overgrow because you eat a lot of simple carbs that allows them to go wild and outgrow the more beneficial ones, that usually require more nutrients than just sugar to grow and grow slower. Many of these guys feed on the other guys and that is the benefit, like l reuteri. Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time.
Fasting increases nitric oxide release.
Telomeres are lengthend and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors.
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there.
Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release!
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles as much as 1/3 of all immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system.
Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer.
Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting.
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast.
Fasts of several days will not affect short term female fertility and may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone
The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again!
Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose.
Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses.
Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention!
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, which destroys them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer.
Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice.

Dr. J.performored a miraculous intervention on me in the cath lab. He is a tremendous human being. His skill as a cardiologist is extrordinary and the information that he delivers is very accurate
Wouldn't we all love to have a doctor like this?!!!
I am on my 3rd day of Fasting since watching Dr Jamnadas and Dr Fung . First two day was a bit of a struggle and I did cheat a teeny bit ; eating a odd date or two to get over my junky moments .
My gut and the whole GI TRACT already feels so calm and no pains (IBS) and unpleasant toilet experiences.
It’s totally easier ones I understood the biology , physiology and all the allied facts , of how why ,what and how the GI functions .
I sleep soundly ¬ dreaded the pains , during and after bowel movement . No pains means the world to me and I am grateful to you .
Thank you and respect . (I am 64 yr olde retired nurse abd suffered from my bowel for 4 decades ). I can now see my way forward .
After 3 day fasting what diet you followed. Do you still have ibs ?
I believe he is the only cardiologist working with gut health to fix your health.
Also Dr. Davis... Everything stems from the gut yet the doctors specializing in it (GI) seem to only focus on colonoscopies and surgeries. So these other downstream Dr's (cardio, neurology) interested in getting to the root problem have to work backwards. Meanwhile people are being put on antibiotics and PPIs w no concern for the gut. Crazy
Thanks! I’ll check out Dr Davis also.
Dr. E. Bergs too.
4 months ago, around there, I commented that I had maintained at 280 lbs since high school (7 years ago) and that I had been on OMAD since high school but I just maintained the weight. I’ve been married going on 5 years and 4 months ago when I commented I said I was down to 250! I weighed myself just a few minutes ago and I’m down to 217!!!! Just work! Discipline!! WHOLE FOODS NOT THE STROE BUT WHOLE FOODS!!!!! Eat less and less often!!! Move around more, try to get in 10,000 steps a day or at least 5,000!!! It takes time but it works!!!
Bro I agree it works I went from 170 to 149 in 4 months (I'm 5'6 and my ideal weight is 145) i do daily walking on the treadmill at 3.5 mph for 30 minutes, eating mostly whole foods, completely cutting back sugar, adding Apple cider vinegar and lemon in my water throughout the day..I lowered my blood pressure, I still have a small protruding gut but it's gone away slowly
Best explanation of the vagus nerve I have come across. Our health is in our diet, and therefore largely in our own hands. Thank you for all you do Doc.
Thank you, Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, I first started listening to you On March 9th, 2023. I followed all of the information you spoke about in your videos. March I was 318 pounds, today April 12, 2023, My weight is 290 pounds. I have reduced 28 to almost 30 pounds gone. You spoke about Fasting, and this is what I am doing, and pushing more Raw and vegan eating. I have been online and found so mean recipes, eating bone broth and vegetable broth, I also made the Lentil bread ( with 2 ingredients) and I love the way my healthy lifestyles. Thank you for helping me.

Thanks Dr. J for another breakthrough video. You’ve opened up a whole new vista of understanding of how our intelligent bodies work and how we can aid that intelligence to achieve better health and fuller lives.
I very much wish more medical professionals displayed the obvious passion for actual health, and getting to the ROUTE cause and less treating surface symptoms as yourself. Thank you please keep at it because the medical 'industry' needs a long overdue overhaul. You give the world something very special!! Thank you so much for sharing your studies and knowledge!
For me it all started with 2 videos - The Bittersweet Truth and then The Fat Lies. I changed over night and never looked back. These 2 videos changed how I think. I now only eat whole natural human food. And I do human behavior.
No sugars, no seed oils, no processed foods, no carbs and no chemicals. Only whole human food. The rest is good sleep, plenty of sunshine, movement, OMAD and IF.
Autophagy and Ketones are normal human behavior.
I love this for you. Inspiring. I'll catch up with you soon.

This is all very good, and Dr. Pradip Jamnadas explains very well in interesting detail the importance of the gut bacteria to the entire body, and the importance of the vagus nerve. He points out that the gut bacteria/microbiome are the 'heart of your jealth", which is a very important point. He talks about the importance of eating properly in maintaining the gut bacteria, or microbiome. But he does not directly address the need to put plants at the center of the diet for nourishing the proper gut bacteria. He makes a few references to it, but does not give that message the central place it deserves. where do we get fiber and the needed diversity of fiber? it comes from whole grains, vegetables, legumes, fruit, nuts and seeds. Meat, fish, dairy have zero fiber. Only plants have the fiber to feed the gut bacteria. People need not become vegetarian or vegan, but a diversity of plant foods need to be at the center of our daily food intake, with meat, fish, dairy etc. on the periphery, and greatly reduced in volume. Americans typically get twice as much protein as needed and a mere fraction of the necessary fiber. Perhaps Americans of Asian decent do better than the average, but it seems that all ethnic groups eat rather poorly after they acculturate to America.
It's fantastic you tie all of this together, A person health is a large Web of connections in the body.
Great Information. Thank You so much 😊 for your time, your knowledge is power & it really transcends by sharing ❤it with the Universe. 😊💕🙏

Thanks Dr J. I think Leaky Guy is responsible for chronic pain in my case. It happens about 2 to 3 hours after eating and it feels like muscular and nerve pain all over.
Sir, good morning. I have already done a 27 days fasting, then a 15 days fasting program. Now myself is in a 13 days fasting program. Now a advanced pancreatic patient (of 65 yrs old male ) is on only water fasting for last eleven days. In last 11 days only 12 hours stomach pain with 15 hour temperature comes and automatically gone without any pain killer. From last eleven days there is no chemo, no pain killer nothing given to the patient except water. Now he is feeling a painless situation. In lever function test all parameters are in normal range except ALP-867.3, SGOT-53.56, ALT/SGPT- 66.50, GGT-208.6. Before fasting bilurumin range was 15-16, now it's 1.2, lever proteins are also within range. In Total blood count report WBC-31.3, hemoglobin - 9.4, neutrophils-92, all other parameters are within range. Is, the high WBC indicates high infection or anything else. Here is the problem is neighter any oncologist nor any other doctor support this fasting treatment. So, sir please say to complete reversal of advanced pancreatic cancer , minimum how many days we have to water fast. In 11 days it's a pretty improvement..Is 30 is sufficient.. please suggest.if any other doctor support and understand this fasting treatment please comment..my WhatsApp/phone number is +91-8895896582.

Dr. Jamnadas, I’d like your opinion about a hypothetical diet for a tall healthy American male in his early 50’s. Weight is stable around 195. Height is stable at 6’6”. 😂. He wants to gain muscle. He eats his water soluble natural (not synthetic) vitamins upon waking. Next, he drinks a large Starbuck’s latte with Sucralose. Next, he drinks 23-grams of Kirkland’s extra-virgin olive oil with a little sea salt before eating his fat-soluble natural vitamins (including 3-grams of EPA and 2-grams DHA) - with my first serving of 28-grams of 100% grass-fed/finished whey isolate with no carbs/no fat and 20-grams of collagen. Next, he drinks a scoop of Green Vibrance (25-billion probiotics per serving) with 15-grams of psyllium husks. For lunch, usually Chipotle white rice and meat (pork and chicken) with hot sauce. Then I take my second (last) serving of the whey isolate and collagen. Dinner is take out food - but light on the starches and carbs. No nighttime snacks. Only water to drink all day. Never soda. Blood pressure is amazing. Tons of omega-3 fatty acids. Hypothetically, what else could this male do for health and hypergamy. Thank you for what you do!
sir plzz make video on sinusitis and detailed explanation what to eat for better digestion
Dr., you are a veritable fountain of priceless information. Also folks, please note that Dr. Jamnadas is 65 years old. Were it not for the white in his beard, which is most becoming, to be sure, he could easily pass for a man in his early 40's. The proof is, as they say, in the pudding.
Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, would you mind doing a video on TMAU.
Interesting!
The problem is very well explained now what's the REMEDY? A detailed video is needed rather than just hints
Listening. Thank you!!!
Your data points are so convincing
What is the connection of Asthama and microbiom?
Thank u for this elaborate explanation...
Could you please suggest what to include or exclude from our diet to improve our leaky gut..that would be super helpful..😊
Natural foods with fiber, carrots, apples, etc.
Gluten causes leaky gut.
How to cure UC? ulcerative colitis?
I've always been a proponent of prevention rather than treating symptoms of disease. Dr. J. explains all the where, why and how of diseases in a manner that a lay person can understand but also what to do to alleviate or reverse disease. Sorry, long sentence, lol.
With great respect…We need to know the solution sir 🙏
Frankly this video looked more like a lecture useful for medical students and I haven’t come across a solution on improving gut microbia this is 2023 and we are still lacking behind in a concrete research concerning disease I come across so many health videos on UA-cam where the doctors statements are contradictory to each other creating confusion.
Health market place everyone is out for cash I don't sense that with him
