I used to see a super old man at the gym I frequented. From the neck up he was a prune but from the neck down he was a Greek God. He just exercised and ate well. He was at least in his 80s. One day he stopped showing up. He was lifting like a competitive weight lifter until he died. Most old men his age are hobbling around afraid to fall down.
That’s how my papa’s(grandpa) big sister was. She lived until 103. She passed 2021. They were from Georgia, so they grew their own food and raised her chicken and eggs. Used real butter/ animal fat etc.
I have some old dietary books of my Mom's from the late 1970s that talk about the intentional removal of fiber from manufactured products. First they took out fiber to make us able to eat more without feeling full (cookies were used as an example-used to be that old saying, "don't be going and spoiling your dinner with that cookie" because most people used whole wheat flours. By removing fiber, people can eat a whole container of cookies without feeling full-we just start feeling sick from the sugar). Then, the manufacturers switched away from lard and butter to these "seed bases oils" that were homogenized/hydrogenated-originally, margarine was made from animal fats, then replaced with seed oils. Ironically, German chemist, Edwin Cuno Kayser, when he moved to Ohio & presented the hydrogenation processes to Procter & Gamble, his intention was the manufacturing of soap. Instead, P&G chose to market this new "lard like substance" as "a shortening substitute" ("shortening" at that time being synonymous with lard). Oreos are prime case of this change from saturated animal fats to hydrogenated seed oils (the claim at the time was enable their products to be kosher-despite, the only issue at the time with the use of lard was the source of lard-namely pork vs ethically sourced alternatives [editor's comment: I should probably have said, "rendered animal fat of animals permitted under Kosher (and related religious covenants/regulations/guides), beef tallow, rendered poultry fat, or other related sources-beef tallow being a known and commonly used fat, such as McDonald's french fries being fried in approximately 20% beef tallow before the shift in the 1990s to an entirely seed based oil source) or other related restrictions such as that required by related Islamic food regs]. Then, they moved to other oils when the concerns over trans fats gained large widespread market force. At some point, I suspect the fiber was also stripped from the products. The "low fat" diet craze (pushed by the sugar lobby through the complex manipulation/abuse of the natural course of science research) enabled manufacturers to replace "fat" for "sugars", which when combined with the vast corn subsidies resulted in replacing sucrose with an even more processed product "high fructose corn syrup".
America doesn't host the fattest and sickest population in the world for nothing. We are cattle to our $4.5 Trillion a year healthcare industry. The FDA came out with the dietary guidelines and it should really be flipped upside down, significantly minimizing grains and gaining more fats to consume. Saturated fats are a long term source of energy and now we are seeing the forced closures of our meat industry for mainly "climate change" and "covid19." Not to mention how addictive sugar is compared to cocaine.
@@spaulding304 are you suggesting everyone does keto? I did it for a year and no longer recommend it to people because my body wasn't meant for it. There's no one size fits all diet and I believe that was the major realization from Weston A. Price's work.

Honestly yes and the fact I didn't have to sit through some 20 minute ad teasing me about some marvelous health food the whole time just to try to sell me a multivitamin at the end
Spot on. 12 years ago, I lost 200 pounds. Did basically what he's recommending. 7 years after that, I slacked off, started eating junk again like doughnuts and pizza, saying to myself, "I'll just work off the calories later." Problem is, later often doesn't come around, because the junk food makes you feel lethargic. Over the next 3 years, I put on all the weight I had lost. It was a perfect storm of stress factors that lead to me stress-eating. Bad breakup, moving to a new state, new job, another bad breakup, Covid lockdowns forcing me out of work, both my cat and dog dying of freak ailments at age 8 in 2021, and then my car gets totaled. Since my car accident in July 2021, which nearly killed me, I decided to regain control of my health, and have lost 100 pounds. Cut out the sugars, reduced my carbs, increased meats and fats, do fasting, going for walks (started small at 100 feet, and now I can do over 5 miles before needing a rest), and now cutting out seed oils. If I want something sweet, I eat raw apples, peaches, pears, bananas, or plumbs. Never canned/packaged. I'm also growing my own kale and tomatoes in a hydroponics garden. Once I'm more fit, and move to either Southern Utah or Northern Texas, I'm gonna start hunting my meat (elk or hog, most likely), and using the fat/tallow instead of store bought oils. If I can swing it, I might get a property where I can have a chicken coop, decent size garden, and maybe a goat or cow for dairy needs. My long term goal is to eat only what I hunt/grow/raise myself. It's a lot of work, but so what? It'll keep me in shape, and give me purpose. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Very inspiring, keep it going! Never forget what these companies did, from every grocery store that happily puts those products on the shelves, to every company that puts sugar and seed oils into everything. Even supposed healthy stuff can be bad, as in almost all supplements have fake aka synthetic vitamins, which could do more harm than good. I was drinking Body Armor drinks, but then realized they have a ton of sugar and carbs. So what does it matter how many vitamins and potassium they have? Most are probably synthetic anyways.
Thank you for sharing your story - it's quite amazing and seems to encompass both physical, spiritual, and mental....for certain healthy eating is a huge part of a happy and fulfilling life.
I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I was 250lbs at 5’4”. So 7 yrs ago, I cut out most breads, most gluten, sugars, and just nasty junk, I lost 100lbs and have kept it off. Not only is my weight better, but my cholesterol is normal again, BP is normal, and my MS is not spreading anymore. Changing my diet changed my life!!
I make my own bread at home. The ingredients are organic wholegrain flour (which includes the germ as it's roughly stone ground) yeast, water and salt. That's it! It's easy to make, tastes great and there's nothing like the smell of fresh bread cooking. 🙂
Ive been baking with my own freshly milled flour for years. I must say I have been killing myself with the frustration of trying to make the loaf turn out like store bought bread. I came to the realization that one cannot come to the texture or the rise of store bought bread. The germ is too wholesome and there is far too much protein in wheat berries making the breads turn out dense and heavy. The taste though! Delicious!! Especially sourdoughs. The only time I came close to store bought bread is when I used store bought refined unbleached flour, added WHITE sugar, processed milk and seed oil. The taste was good, texture was spot on but to know how much garbage is going into my system. Flour Water Yeast Salt Thats it. Enjoy your baking!!!!!
I live in the UK,, a trip to any supermarket is an absolute eye opener. 80% of the edible products on offer are in fact processed inedible junk. I have been eating only wholefoods for 6 weeks now, I feel better and I am losing weight. I consider this to be a lifestyle change now, and not a diet. Thank you Dr Jamnadas.
Its funny because in the states our processed food is loaded with even more additives and sugar. I ordered a case of heinz beinz thats made in the UK and there is way less sugar than any of our tomato sauce beans products.
It's not only the UK that has this problem, it's pretty much all western countries... Asia & other developing countries are also adopting our poor dietary choices
I grind flour out of sunflower seeds and I bake it into bread without extra ingredients that don't belong in bread. It's delicious and VERY HEALTHY. I'm 72 years old and I've been doing this for almost all of my life. Never been ill a day in my life that I can remember and I'm as srong as a horse. I still do cartwheels with my grandchildren and the neighborhood children.
This message about processed food and the terribly inflammatory seed oils like canola, rapeseed, sunflower, safflower and “vegetable oil” is extremely important. We need more doctors who have this kind of knowledge and are willing to share it. Thank you!
if you want to know what the science has to say, here it is : ua-cam.com/video/-xTaAHSFHUU/v-deo.html - spoiler alert - no link between seed oils and inflammatory markers
Not a single study could prove it that seed oils are inflammatory. As a matter of fact more than a dozen proved the opposite. You would know it if you were not a brainwashed retard and read real studies. I guess you are one of those uneducated, gullible idiots who blindly follows the worse charlatans on UA-cam and regurgitate their bullshit at every opportunity.

My grand father, lived 102 yrs. walked 2 mils/day. Vegetarian. Ate a little less than full, home food. Never ate "modern" processed foods. Well educated. Straight. Truthful. Lived within his means. Followed daily news. Sent his children to college. It is not just the food. They way of living promotes health.
This is absolutely right. A whole package is responsible for one's overall health, not just physical. Eat less than the full one. Eat only when body is giving indication of being really hungry. Eat natural food more. Be active physically. Be happy mentally.

Using the processed food labels were strong learning aids for me: 1 tsp of sugar = 4 grams; "vegetable oils" are usually made from seeds; and bread should not have a laundry list of ingredients. Thank you for making such important videos to save us all.
@@remowilliams7569 That's the way to do it. Who wants to read labels in the store aisle? And, it is such fine print. That's why I make all my salad dressings and sauces: they have many ingredients, but I know each and every one of them.
@@justinajones3000 Sometimes there is no avoiding it, but yes. I buy raw ingredients most of the time. Exception are some spice mixes (and there I occasionally check the labels to see if the ingredients have changed from what they were when I decided to trust that particular mix) and a few other things (like ginger paste or garlic paste) where I do the same thing. Bloody hard though to overcome 50 years of conditioning by parents, governments, and advertising that carbs (and especially starches), artificial sweeteners, breads, and seed oils are good, that meat and dairy are evil. Conditioning that's not just ongoing but getting worse and worse even as it's becoming more and more clear that those beliefs are at best a big mistake, at worst a massive deliberate lie. And with radical vegans now in control of the government where I live and doing their utmost to make fresh food, and especially meat and dairy, impossible to afford and ultimately illegal to produce and consume, it's not getting any easier. Simply for budgetary reasons I've had to let go of my practice of using only butter, never oils, for cooking, and am now resorting to rice oil and olive oil for a lot of things. And the day is getting close where I have to let go of fresh vegetables and meat in exchange for bread and pasta because fresh foods are becoming utterly unaffordable as well. Dairy, meat, and fresh vegetables have gone up 50-100% in price just in the last year (a 250g packet of butter has gone from under 2 Euro to about 3.50, a liter of milk from under 1 Euro to 1.50, a kilo of ground beef from 7 Euro to 12.50), while pasta, bread, and seed oils have stayed almost constant. Water has more than doubled in price while sodas have stayed nearly constant.
@@jwenting in America the same is happening. The items that are bad for you are cheap and vice-versa! Just as big PHARMA has created a terrible ideal to keep giving more drugs for the side effects of drugs. The food Corp is doing the same with "healthy" oils and sugar!
I love that he pointed out the problem with polyunsaturated fats: particularly their tendency to oxidize. Anything fried in these oils oxidizes and forms trans fats, leading to cancer and atherosclerosis.
My mom has always taught me that butter is good for me (everyone else was eating margarine) during the “low fat” craze. I’m now 25 and tried a lot of diets - vegetarian, vegan, keto, paleo etc. After all this time and experimenting I came to one conclusion. I know this will now seem very obvious but it wasn’t for me and still isn’t for 90% of the people: Just eat whole foods. As the good doc here says too: avoid seed oils, avoid processed foods. Try to cook your own meals and most importantly; get all your nutrients. I am thankful for all the people on my journey like many people people here on youtube and in real life for sharing their own experiences. I still don’t live an entirely healthy life (I have my vices) but I’m on my way there. Stay healthy everyone.
it's been shown that different people have different results from diets, such as keto or plant based, high fat or low fat, etc... one thing that remains true for everyone is we should be eating unprocessed foods as much as possible. (Butter and seed oils are both processed and unnatural unfortunately)
@@RyuSaarva true, animal products will eventually become luxury items anyway. The main reason they aren’t already is due to government subsidies, we should get used to eating less of it unless your rich I guess. Iv been trying cooking with less oil lately and it’s doable, can just use a bit of broth or water to keep things from sticking/burning for many recipes.
@@RyuSaarva Sadly, the high price a good many healthly foods is a grim reality of modern life in a great many countries. I've a limited monthly food budget, so can't eat as healthy as I like. I do what I can within my budget, but sacrifices must be made. Still, I suspect my diet is healthier, or at least less unhealthy, than the majority of my fellow citizens. (Which of course doesn't mean it can't be improved on, had I the funds.) A sad thing about butter is that what we want, health wise, is butter from grass-fed cows, which if of course even more expensive than your average butters.

I am a Diabetic and a Heart patient with 3 Stents. Now after fasting I am reversing all my Problems. The maximum hrs of fasting till now that I have done is 42 hrs and really felt Great. Tanks a lot Sir.
The doctor mentions all kind of great food ideas he does not say too fast longer than 24 hours and by the way like I have high cholesterol I tried fasting and it made my cholesterol higher so you got to watch everything and do things in moderation
Dr Jamnadas… thank you. One of your videos about fasting inspired me to go on my 1st 36hr fast. It has improved my life in many ways. I “was” a type 2 diabetic but no longer am (on paper) due to OMAD and keto. Of course I am still insulin resistant so now I do usually high fat low carb with 2 meals per day. Thank you for your generous work and for being generous with this important information. It is inflammation information. I avoid seed oils and flour products like the plague. Not many agree but I consume animal fat mostly.. that and avocado and leafy greens.. I am very fat adapted. Fat is my fuel. Has been for over a year. I tried some junk food the other day and it actually made me feel like I was on some kind of drugs. I didn’t like it. I wasn’t myself.. now I consider all that highly refined oils and foods as nothing but cheap street drugs. Something to be avoided at all costs.
Couldn't agree more. I love eating healthy, delicious, nutrient dense foods! And avocados are my daily treat of choice! #YUM😋I will Never go back to eating toxic junk, disguised as food!!😎
Same here, I've been mostly LCHF /cyclical keto for about a decade now. Every few months I go higher carb for a while to gain a little fat to burn later when needed. I'm one of those weird people that burns fat easily but has to work at gaining it. 😢🤔🤓🍻
Recently I've been having a lot of gut trouble and have been paying much more attention to my diet. The discovery I've made is that it's actually pretty hard finding healthy ingredients - just about anything you find in the average grocery store is so processed it's hard to believe.
If you have gut problems take as much fiber out of your diet as possible. Depending on your gut issue, you may have to go strictly carnivore: Meat, salt. water.
Yes, during most of November, I cut way back on my sugar intake. I mostly cut or reduced the obvious things like ice cream, candy and soda, but by the end of the month I was feeling so much more energetic than at the beginning. Then the holiday season really kicked into high gear and I fell off the wagon. I'm going to repeat the process again in January, because it was definitely worth the minor inconvenience of cutting back a bit.
I'm glad you mentioned fasting. I'm an RN but I've been part of nutritional clinical research and the effect diet can have on metabolic health and anti aging, which is my real passion. Our ancestors were physiologically hard wired for fasting. In ancient times food was more pure and natural but also less plentiful. Something the health industry doesn't talk about enough is the tremendous benefits of fasting for 24, 36 and 48 hours. Beyond 48 it is believed that certain benefits diminish though. But the food industry of course is going to try to squash any talk of fasting because they want everyone being gluttonous. Since I have started doing a 24 hour fast once a week and a 48 hour once or sometimes twice a month I can't begin to describe how great I feel
Please do tell what changes or benefits u noticed from introducing fasting to your life. I would love to know because I'm thinking of incorporating that into my life next year
Our ancestors also pillaged, raped, slaughtered, worshipped some crazy things to explain away science, and banged their own families to "expand". Im confused as to why people who like fasting use the comparison of thousands of years ago when people HAD to fast. They didnt have the option to go to the grocery store...
@@StarsetFlight please educate yourself on the scientific, biological benefits, "pillaging, slaughtering etc" WTF that's not applicable to what I was talking about, you're getting into some social issues or something, because our ancestors at times had no choice but to fast, that's WHY our physiology learned to adapt, you do get that the great thing about human physiology is adaptation right? Are you one of those obese people that can't fathom going without eating? It's pretty simple cause and effect dude. Look at the average American, look how fat and unhealthy this country is. I'll educate you a bit, but for more in depth evidence, go do your research, or live in your blissful ignorance, I really don't care. Fasting for one gives your body and GI system a chance to rest, and during that time instead of digesting you can repair and regenerate, especially your gut biome. Also autophagy, your body clearing the cellular debris, resetting your mitochondria to be refreshed, and many diseases are mitochondrial malfunctions. Plus you lower your insulin, when you fast you go into ketosis and ketones aren't just the perfect amount of energy needed but it's been proven ketones themselves have healing and anti aging properties. I could literally go on but it would be a very very long comment. Go do your research, or be like everyone else eating 6 times a day of crap toxic food, getting fatter, toxifying your body, causing disease process, inflammation and more. It's your health, I know what fasting has done for me. I've gone from average health as a middle aged man to almost superhuman

And how are you going to the necessary for life animal based amino acids? You will need a great deal of supplements and planning to get the essential nutrients with eating a plant based diet. BTW do you know that there are "antinutrients" in plants, such as lectins, phytates, and oxalates, and that the animals are designed to eat their plant diets and have a digestive system to deal with those anti nutrients but you as a human do not?

I really got to looking at the ingredients on labels in the past four or five years, not only for food and drinks, but hygiene products as well. With enough research into what they are, and enough time (practice) doing so, you eventually see ingredients and nutritional facts like a matrix code, and stay away from "bad/corrupt" code (toxic, harmful, synthetic ingredients). This doctor is so right about processed foods and intermittent fasting. Keto or Low Carb is definitely the way to go for health and weight loss. Some of us seem to tolerate carbs better than others, but even so, not very healthy. There are channels featuring low carb cooking and alternatives using almond flour, coconut flour and alternative sweeteners that are natural and good substitutes for times when cravings hit too. It does mean following recipes and cooking at home.
We need more doctors who care for people's health instead of the almighty evil $$$ . So very appreciate you sharing this information. I just came upon Dr. Jamndas's lectures on sugar, fasting, and other topics that are just so compelling both from the way he presents it but also the solid scientific backing he provides. This is the way any claim re what is what not on any subject leave alone "OUR OWN HEALTH". I after covud hit started making most of my own bread, including the yeast, from scratch. I buy whole wheat, or whole sprouted wheat flour, and blend up some quick oats sometimes to mix with it for the flour. For the liquid, I sometimes use purified water, whey from yogurt or cheese, or just use the home made yeast liquid. I use natural salt. As for the yeast, I use home made ginger bug, fruit viniger, or komboocha. I might add a touch of raw or pure honey for the yeast to eat to create more rise, but not much. If I add oil, it's olive oil only, or home made spreadable butter which is made from home made butter mixed with olive oil. The bread I make isn't soft as store-bought, but it's way more filling and tastes better. I still buy some store bought bread like hot dog or hamburger buns because I haven't learned how to make those yet. I also buy "hawian bread" every once in a blue moon as a rare treat. I find making my own bread is cheaper and tastier. The firms of bread I've figured out are sourdough, yeast bread, pancakes/fluffy flatbread, English muffins, breakfast muffins. I'm working on bagels next, then cakes. I still want to learn to make hot dog and hamburger buns too. Just thought some people might like this as a option for better bread. Btw, I'm on fixed income ( less than $800 plus food stamps totalling $240 per month to live off of) so I know this can be done on a super tight budget. As for the yeast recipes, I'm more than willing to share. I will say the fruit viniger can be made using scraps like apple cores, so it's a waste free thing. That same viniger can be used to make home made sodas out of fruit juice along with some sugar or honey. Just a suggestion for the junk food junkies like myself looking for a healthy alternative
Sounds fantastic. My wish for you would be that you would get a stone grinder for your bread making. Flour will go rancid in a couple of days. Once you have fresh ground, you can easily taste the difference. When I was young and only had a small family, a hand grinder was sufficient. Buying sacks of whole grain are MUCH cheaper than buying flour. Usually any health food store will order 25 pounds of an organic grain - wheat berries, oat groats or rye berries and give you 10% off.
@@inGods2hands I want to get a hand crank grain mill, just haven't been able to yet. I found a video on UA-cam from some Gal in China who used store bought brown rice to grow her own in pots. In my area the only grains I know I might be able to grow are wheat or rice. They don't sell wheat in any stores here that take food stamps, so rice it is. As for my flour storage, I use a 5 Gal bucket with a lid. I don't eat a lot of bread or grains in general. But I do mix it up. Usually pasta or rice are my go to grains. Still, a nice egg sandwich with ceese, ham, tomatoes, fermented pickles, greens, and Mayo is really good every now and then. Especially coupled with some tomatoes soup or a stew. Mostly I use my bread to make a offshoot of a 18the century porridge recipe I found on the townsends podcast. It's not a health food channel. It is a good resource for survival methods, dyi old school tools, and lots of recipes. All this is stuff from the 18the century, and is great for figuring out ways to get through long term emergencies without a lot of money or relying too heavy on modern conveniences that could, and in my area have, easily fail with little if any notice. Most of the recipes there are odd, or extreamly unhealthy. But some are really useful, tasty, and healthy as well as convenient with a small food budget.
Thanks so much. You make so much sense. It’s depressing, but it’s always good to be able to have a basis for making educated food decisions. Eat whole foods, lots of fiber. Saturated fats. No seed oils. No sugar! No processed foods! No flour. Feast, then fast. Lots to consider, but it is possible.

The USA doesn’t need to ration food or produce fake foods anymore. There’s no reason why people are eating garbage. Food MANUFACTURERS continue to trick people.
I make my hot cocoa using 3-4 ingredients also. I never measure amount of ingredients except for the stevia. The ingredients I use are: almond milk, Hershey's cocoa powder, stevia and vanilla. I use 2-3 packets of powdered stevia. I add a little of the warm almond milk to the cocoa powder and stir it until it's well blended and the consistency of chocolate syrup and then I add the rest of the almond milk. Doing it this way prevents cocoa powder lumps. I hope this helps.
Sweet? American bread is hardly the sweetest out there, but yes, if you're eating crap like wonder bread, it probably is rather sweet. If you're eating decent bread though, it's not particularly sweet.

American wheat, if not organic, has likely been sprayed with glyphosate- a Megatoxin. Also, much of American wheat has been altered away from original ancient grain, and many people have digestive difficulty with it- heart burn, leaky gut, etc. But further, look up the term ‘zonulin’, and the research showing that most all people have immune system reactions to wheat and that components of wheat circulate in the body for weeks. Unfortunately, it’s just not a good food to eat, even though it usually tastes quite good.
I did this and I feel so much better. My stomach feels less inflamed. I just ate whole groans like beans and lentils and lots of broccoli and walnuts. I’m going to continue this.

@@ethanb5513 Vegtables can't move on their own. In order to defend themselves, they use chemistry. An example of this is oxalate in Spinach and Almonds. Oxalate can form kidney stones in you since it forms into crystals. There are a lot of chemical defenses in plants like this. For most of them, they aren't an issue for most people. However, they're an issue for some. Caffeine is another example of this. Bugs which try to each plants with caffeine die from an overdose but humans only experience a small effect where we don't get the signals from our body that we're tired. However, some people can't handle even small amounts of caffeine. The goal shouldn't be to avoid vegetables. They can be an amazing source of nutrients and very delicious. However, their chemical defenses should be recognized. Prolonged and constant exposure to them can cause damage and some people are sensitive to them. My diet was 1 kg of fresh apricots, little whit or salmon fish, couple of boiled eggs, MCT oil (great for brain and nerves) herbs from my garden, coffee and milk. I was feeling GREAT! Energy wise. A lot of apricots but I didn't feel them as sugar rush at all. Too bad fresh apricots season is short here.. I think I will repeat every springtime. I am 55.
Those apricots are killing your liver, high amount of fructose in apricots and it can only be break down by a very busy organ like the liver. Fruits are not good for us because of the fructose, they can be a treat from time to time but not not to eat them often and consider them food. Do your research on fructose before eating fruits often.

The roasted almonds got me. I was eating those things for months without bothering to read the ingredients. I mean it's just almonds... but nope it was almonds and safflower oil. Now I get the unroasted ones, which are sweet.
roasting actually depletes the many nutrients that the nut provides; soaking in filtered or spring water and drying, sprouts the raw nut and makes them easier for you system to digest and is the best way to consume!
I said I was going to only watch one video, but every presentation was like he was speaking directly to me. I have a new weapon to do better. Thank you so much ❤️
Just a quick thanks, your earlier videos set me on the path to looking at low carb/ sugar diet and intermittent fasting. Now three stone down since August - 20/4 fasting with occasional 48hrs and only foods that don't have ingredients. Have never felt better in my life and health issues I'd had for years are now gone including muscle and joint pain, migraines, IBS, excessive tiredness, high blood pressure, lack of strength and hiatus hernia and barrett's esophagus much better!
Ever since I eliminated grains, and refine sugars my allergies went completely away. Not just that, I have less digestion issues, more energy, more calm in the morning and less hunger! That being said, I am consuming much less carbs, lots of veggies, nuts and seeds, olive and avocado oil to cook and some A2 cheese
Same, my health gets better and better the more I focus on whole and well sourced foods. Nurses are always amazed when I say I am on "nothing," just there for a check-up. : ) I don't even do bread, but I love things like Flackers with almost no carbs or veg with dips. To those who don't know where to start, start at the store. Buy seasonally or frozen, it will be what's cheaper or on sale. Take the foods you already love and learn to make them just a little bit healthier but only if that means real/whole foods. I am not missing out when I eat warm from the slow cooker spinach artichoke dip with fresh cut peppers still crisp and flavorful. Even treats can be just a little healthier, if I have chocolate, it's typically balanced with healthy fat and protein filled nuts, seed butter, or I just enjoy berries and cream.
the problem is I cannot avoid grain. I need to eat something with carbs like rice/bread otherwise I'm so hungry I can't fall asleep, can't think, just can't function. I tried eating root veggies as a substitute but that didn't work at all :-( *sigh*
For breakfast add cooked Quinoa to your oatmeal, with hemp milk, whole butter ( or no butter), small amount of real maple syrup. You can add a tablespoon of super seed powder. You will see that you will stay full more than half of the day. Add in unroasted seeds if u like.
After years of suffering with GERD/reflux and all the consequences of the associated inflammation ( digestive issues, sleep problems, bloating etc etc) I decided to really look into my diet. Diet was the elephant in the room I couldn't seem to recognise for a long time. Because I wasn't over-weight and didn't eat junk snacks, sweets and over-processed foods I 'd assumed my diet wasn't a problem. So I did some research and eliminated seed/veg oils and used only butter, dripping, olive oil and coconut oil in my cooking. And I eliminated GMO wheat products and researched alternatives to wheat flour in my home baking. I found Keto recipes a very good starting point. (Though I am not full Keto.) The result was almost immediate. I stopped having GERD/reflux within a week or so . (If I accidentally eat something with seed oil etc in it- for example at a friend's house- I immediately know about it!!)
Yes! I had a similar experience, but I struggled with GERD badly when I was young and ate a LOT of junk food. When I was 16 I went vegan and it cleared up quickly, I believe its because I started eating whole foods for the first time in my life and cutting down on processed food.... Then the vegan food revolution came and I started eating processed vegan junk!! Then the problems started coming back worse, because vegan alternatives are mostly processed seed oils. Now I am eating whole food animal and plant based foods and feel much better and it is easier to avoid sugars and oils when I include healthy animal fats.

My grandfather was a farmer and consumed grass fed meat, clarified butter and whole home grown food. Lived 96 years of healthy, fulfilling life
And he ate bread like all farmers?
I used to see a super old man at the gym I frequented. From the neck up he was a prune but from the neck down he was a Greek God. He just exercised and ate well. He was at least in his 80s.
One day he stopped showing up. He was lifting like a competitive weight lifter until he died. Most old men his age are hobbling around afraid to fall down.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! 👏
Interesting and well written thanks

America doesn't host the fattest and sickest population in the world for nothing. We are cattle to our $4.5 Trillion a year healthcare industry. The FDA came out with the dietary guidelines and it should really be flipped upside down, significantly minimizing grains and gaining more fats to consume. Saturated fats are a long term source of energy and now we are seeing the forced closures of our meat industry for mainly "climate change" and "covid19." Not to mention how addictive sugar is compared to cocaine.

Except the hunting, it's not that much work, at least, the tiny scale you're suggesting.
Thank you for sharing your story - it's quite amazing and seems to encompass both physical, spiritual, and mental....for certain healthy eating is a huge part of a happy and fulfilling life.
Sounds like a good deal to me too.

Veggie style aint the answer! Balance is!
@@aureliandumitru8382 That’s your opinion. Everyone is different. Also, this person said his grandfather lived to be a 102 years old. Obviously, it worked for him.
The medical industry kept him alive longer not the food remember even back 100 years ago ppl died from infections, and colds lol

This Doctor has changed my life. I am so glad I stubbled across him. He is a brilliant but humble man and he puts things in such layman terms I appreciate him. I am truely healing and feel fantastic! Thanks Doc!
Using the processed food labels were strong learning aids for me: 1 tsp of sugar = 4 grams; "vegetable oils" are usually made from seeds; and bread should not have a laundry list of ingredients. Thank you for making such important videos to save us all.
That is why my shopping consists of buying things with one ingredient, i.e. Steak, Chicken, Apple, Broccoli, Tomato, etc.
@@remowilliams7569 That's the only way to do it. That's. chicken, that's broccoli, etc.
@@jwenting in America the same is happening. The items that are bad for you are cheap and vice-versa! Just as big PHARMA has created a terrible ideal to keep giving more drugs for the side effects of drugs. The food Corp is doing the same with "healthy" oils and sugar!

Not just eat whole foods, but also portion control
Butter is expensive and it's price doubled during the last few years, so yeah not gonna buy it.
@@RyuSaarva true, animal products will eventually become luxury items anyway. The main reason they aren’t already is due to government subsidies, we should get used to eating less of it unless your rich I guess. @@RyuSaarva Sadly, the high price a good many healthly foods is a grim reality of modern life in a great many countries. I've a limited monthly food budget, so can't eat as healthy as I like. (Which of course doesn't mean it can't be improved on, had I the funds.) A sad thing about butter is that what we want, health wise, is butter from grass-fed cows, which if of course even more expensive than your average butters.

Dr Jamnadas… thank you. One of your videos about fasting inspired me to go on my 1st 36hr fast. It has improved my life in many ways.

Metformin slows the progression from Pre diabetes to diabetes so it’s recommended (this of course is done by doctors that don’t educate patients on lifestyle options).

Also, much of American wheat has been altered away from original ancient grain,

People need to hear this. Sugar, wheat flour, corn flour, and rice flour are crippling people on a massive scale.
Why rice flour?
Not many people care even if you tell them but because of their poor diet they are going to have to pay for medication for nothing when food is the cure to many diseases and illnesses
Finally! A doctor that is willing to step out of the bubble that has so many trapped inside, pushing drugs as a cure, for what could be a simple dietary fix.
Also, we need to increase the awareness of poisons naturally produced by vegetables, they alone, over time are toxic.

The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

what poisons produced by vegetables are you talking about?
@@tama3442 what jesus? The greatest lie ever told
Try elimination diets to see if any health issues you have are caused by them. I found I had a lot of discomfort and bloating when I ate salads. I found out through eliminating items from them that raw Broccoli was causing my issues.
Remember the time when Dr.s would say exercise and eat healthy etc. Now a days they say take this pill 💊
This is the third video I've seen from Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, MD, MBBS, FACC, FSCAI, FCCP, FACP, and it's spot on with my intense health schooling. I KNOW he doesn't need my recognition, I'm merely just saying. THIS doctor has my undivided attention, whereas I will no longer listen to the mainstream healthcare. Thank you, Dr. Pradip Jamnadas, for taking your very valuable time to guide us to our VERY hidden health light!!!
I've yet to eliminate flour, High Fructose corn syrup yes if I see it I don't buy it. Your information and delivery is so powerful, it is already forming a psychological force that will strengthen me into wider action for the sake of my well being. I've subscribed. Thank You.
A little bread now and then is ok ..sourdough is best ..just and better after frozen 🍞
I did elimination diet for two weeks. All digestive problems are gone. I live in Australia, apricots are in season now. I am 55.
I feel so sorry for your people over in Aus.
Keep fighting for truth & freedom.
Those apricots are killing your liver, high amount of fructose in apricots and it can only be break down by a very busy organ like the liver. Fruits are not good for us because of the fructose, they can be a treat from time to time but not not to eat them often and consider them food. Do your research on fructose before eating fruits often.

Amazing Guy! Really like his take on food. He puts it all together very well, validated the conclusions I've been coming two over years of my own personal research. this is the problem in society nowadays. Assuming that you mean u reached these conclusions based on eating in this way and becoming healthier, YOU validated HIM

@@SpicyElaichi Go read Dr Mary enigs research on Poly unsaturated fats. She even goes on to explain how they work in the body. It’s quite simple really. Don’t need a medical degree to understand how processed foods are basically the root of all disease, next to bad genetics. You can also read up dr Catherine shanahans take on how it damages the body. Rather than just believing what this doctor says, even though it’s true.
Processed food coming from America from the 70s has brought obesity & unhealthy people causing medical conditions. Boycott & make your own food with good quality ingredients if need be eat less but eat good quality . Great video concise, simple, & how we use to eat before profit came over health .
Great video by Dr. Pradip Jamnadas.
He shows real examples of foods, and hilites their ingredients and explains them for us to better make healthy decisions on the foods we buy.
Thanks for having this video Dr. Jamnadas!
Really doctor you are amazing, most doctors are giving just drugs to calm down the symtomps instead you are giving the right advices to eliminate the root causes. The roasted almonds got me. I was eating those things for months without bothering to read the ingredients. I mean it's just almonds... but nope it was almonds and safflower oil. Now I get the unroasted ones, which are sweet.
Roasted is fine with sea salt.
Same here!
roasting actually depletes the many nutrients that the nut provides; soaking in filtered or spring water and drying, sprouts the raw nut and makes them easier for you system to digest and is the best way to consume!

Amazing :)) Well done to you.
Im keto omad myself. Living my best life. 🙏✊
Avoid processed carbs. A whole carbohydrate itself is good for you.
no way! you stopped eating little debbie cakes and lost weight!

The best part once you consistently start eating clean & healthy is fruits tastes sweet again haha
What exactly is the problem with veg/see oils that wasn't very clear to me? And are olive oil and coconut oil the only healthy alternatives?

The keto diet will ruin your body... it will lead to kidney and liver failure. The creators of the keto diet did so as a treatment for cancer, but they said that the side effects are so bad (it can kill you) that it should only be used as a last resort...
You want an actual proper healthy diet? Eat like the longest living healthiest people on the planet (Mediterranean diet) which focuses mostly on unprocessed plant based foods, and only having a small serving of animal products 1-2 times a week at most.
