the fact that technically they're a prewar faction has always made it more understandable they go toe toe with BoS Paladins on the regular. They have built up literal centuries of mythos, culture, and training.
I think their weaponry and tactics also make a lot of sense in that regard. Desert stealth, survival and marksmanship are all specialties of the rangers; A BoS Paladin revving a gatling laser is a lot less scary when they’re a quarter-mile away from you, they have no idea where you are, and you’re staring at them through the scope of a .50 caliber AMR. I think anti-material rifles probably stand right next to gauss rifles when it comes to being the best-suited ballistic weapons in the series for blowing straight through power armor. Given what we see of the Nevada Brotherhood’s strict adherence to their codex and overall refusal to adapt, I think guerilla tactics and the NCR military’s heavy use of elite, highly-trained snipers like the Rangers and First Recon would have been a nightmare for the brotherhood’s heavy troops during their conflict with them.

Crazy how foundational "Valley of the wind" was to so many. True nerds. Men and women of culture. Getting into anime in the late 80s and early 90s. When it was really hard. I remember tape trading people in small stores back in the pre internet days, can't imagine what it would've been like to be an anime nerd in the 1980s. For a second example, there's a Race in Star Trek named after them. The Nausicaans. If you love something super nerdy and niche, there's a very good chance the creator of it loved something nerdy and niche themselves, and THAT creator was Hayao Miyazaki.
I didn't know that about Star Trek. Miyazaki's films are one of a kind, we're really lucky to have lived in the same time period of such a visionary :)

OH IM PUSHING BEDTIME BACK
To be honest their outfit is really good as well as ranger outfit however thing don't like is that Tax and they probably killing themself then fight Caesar and his the legions
What is the clip at 3:50 from?
I think it’s from nausicaa of the valley of the wind
So I've collecting since I was 4 and I just turned 34 and it's primarily been hot wheels. I do own a couple matchbox and do enjoy them. I also didn't realize til like 2 years ago that I had a bunch of treasure hunt cars
"Chase ghosts down at Baja" probably meant either they're hunting down some elite sorta fugitive that probably SHOULD NOT be priority or theyre trying to annex the place
Great video
🖤🖤🖤
This is amazing

“WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS!”
Is that full metal alchemist music near the end? Great as always mister triangle!❤
It is! I haven't watched it in years, but the music also stuck with me :))
Videos like this make me glad there's not a nuclear winter (yet)
This is the big one, the Rangers are the best!
So not only was Chief Hanson’s disinformation campaign AGAINST HIS OWN SIDE insane and pointless but given how he tells the events of Rattletail, he also aided and abetted murders
What's the source of this tech demo looking footage at 1:06?
Hey Triangle!!! I'm in the Process of making a 340+ page script for a New Vegas Theory. And I've been scratching my head about this Cut COntent in my Memory and I don't Know if I dreamed it or what but I need to ask. Do you k own about ANY CUT CONTENT having to do with the Tunnelers appearing in New Vegas after Lonesome Road?
I think you might've dreamed it up
@TriangleCity Thanks, it was driving me nuts
heyy whats the song at 4:45 ?
The Rangers having a lot of leeway and autonomy reminds of Mass Effect's Specters.
Hi, what video is Goodsprings cut content?
It's broken up across a few videos, but I'm thinking about making a dedicated video for it even tho I've covered most of it
Hey, what's the music track in the background from 24:20 to 25:15?
Is the Galaxy Map music in Mass Effect 2 when selecting places to go or planets to launch probes at.
@@FuzionFire2342 Thanks, I was convinced it was HOME or crinkles's style, lmao.
What's the song at the start of the video?
The first song is Magenta by Sextiles
@@TriangleCity thank you
God these makes work days easy
I think not exposing Hanlon with Mr House victory is the best ending for the NCR rangers. They keep their fame their leader helps to steer the NCR in a less imperialistic direction helping to keep the NCR from being destroyed by its loss. I am pretty sure Mr House' victory is cannon & this is the only ending that would likely prevent the NCR trying to invade the Mojave again.
Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I could swear that there is a reference to the NCR being a nation state in Fallout 2. Something like "Everything to the south [of Shady Sands] is NCR."
Definitely possible, F2 has so much dialogue it's pretty much impossible to remember all of it lol
The meme at 30:33 lol
It's kind of hilarious that elder Tandi says they were unable to find Vault 13 despite years of searching, considering it's literally in a straight line west from it ; )
To be fair, I wouldn't explored random, sketchy caves in a universe that has Deathclaws lmao
NCR Bros are eatin good today
What's the song that plays at the end of the Chief Hanlon section at around 46 mins?
You're probably looking for this :)

@@TriangleCity Yes! Thank you!
Anyone know what the song at 45:05 is?
i’d give my left foot to live in the timeline where Van Buren was finished
Same bro. I don't think any cancelled game has ever intrigued me so much
I don't trust Todd, Emil or anyone at BGS to know the lore of the west coast.. cant touch anything without fucking up the lore can you TODD?
Always have been my favorite factions
Diablo Tristan Theme.
Nice.
hold on is he using the USP ans SPAS-12 from HL2
Love your videos! They're perfectly paced and quite easy to hear what you're saying.
My only request would be to have some kind of label or something that says like "Quote from Bob Bobson" or "Bob Bobson on Bobby Bobbyson" if that makes sense. Alternatively, hire @LarryBundJr to read them instead 😆
Was that picture in your intro from your urban exploration escapades?
Nah, I just got stock footage for it because I usually don't bring a gimbal with me when I explore. I like to travel as light as possible since I've fallen through a floor before lol
@@TriangleCity That's completely reasonable. I hope it didn't result in a major injury.
I like how the Ranger has the most low poly shotgun. Lol
Lol I never noticed the box art curse until I watched this video 😂😂😂 wow
I'm guessing there's a mod that fixes all the issues you mentioned in this video
question: why is the ranger weidling the HL2 pistol and what looks like a HDafied HL1 shotgun? :S lol
11:08 Where is that ? Or is it a mod ?
Pretty sure it's East Vegas, but I filmed that forever ago so it might be a mod
Pretty sure it's East Vegas, but I filmed that forever ago so it might be a mod
Sorry if rude, love the content. lol
Cant explane the end and agl drops for grant, bit all drops can be explaned for Hannlon as age and the perception drop for Grant because he is missing an eye. Dont know what other rangers use a trooper stat block though.
Those are the only two I'm aware of
No way, bro held me up with that “pick up that can” pistol. I mention the thumbnail, by the way, so don’t suffer a heart attack.
Ranger at the ready!
What anime is that guy in the black armor and red eyes from?
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
I just beat the game on a Caesar play through and eventually squads of rangers start hunting you and man those dudes do not play lol
If I'm not mistaken, that was the Half-Life 2 pistol and the Half-Life 1 shotgun in the thumbnail, very nice little crossover :)
I wonder if the name tyco is inspired by the AI tyco in Marathon or vice versa 🤔
