I don't recall any time I was so musically moved and excited as tonight finding this superb video. And the guys who did the video and sound engineering deserve a special mention for their fine work, without which we wouldn't have this recording of the event.
'Love how the arrangement at around 49 minutes or so, allowed for an earlier audience release , to applaud the completion of Zakirs outstanding solo performance, instead of delaying it wrongly, and thus perhaps inadvertently designing it to overhype Dhafer's and Husnu's rejoining a few bars later...as it happens too often...genius...keeps everyone's adrenaline output lower, while not allowing the enjoyment and appreciation of one, two or three etc. being affected in a detrimental way.
The kind of master pieces that makes me believe that there are certain souls are meant to meet and show how legendary they are! So grateful to discover this sound coming right from heaven! Peace to all of you :)

Zakir Hussain only plays with the best. Saw him with Ravi Shankar many years ago. After about an hour it looked like all the musicians were levitating above the stage.
Même si avec le temps mon oreille s'oriente davantage vers des musiques plus épurées et moins démonstratives, j'avoue que ce trio reste une expérience musicale particulièrement touchante et intéressante à l'évidence techniquement mais malgré tout avec une profondeur mystique de l'âme!! Il suffit de se plonger dans le regard de Zakir Hussain pour sentir l'au delà !! Les inséparables Husnu Senlendirici et Dhafer Youssef ne pouvaient pas trouver mieux comme acolyte pour marquer le tempo... Citoyen du monde sans aucune frontière et fière de l'être :)

This music and the interplay between the musicians is pure magic. Besides, Dhafer Youssef looks like a guy you wish he were your buddy. The whole performance is so enchanting, it puts a smile on my face when watching it.
