Im a westerner, ive been playing music most of my life. Ive touched on so many genres from metal to country, to classic and hard rock, to jazz and classical music, avante gaurd and experimental, but this is something shockingly new to me. The semi tones and unusual time signatures and phrases completely turned composition on its head for me. Thankyou for re opening my eyes to just how deep the creative currents flow within the all sacred sound.

The most profound thing about Art is that it makes you cry. Nothing more... Nothing less... It affirms our existence not by negating possibilities which lie outside the human experience, but by bringing us back to rediscover our roots - a quotidian struggle to prevail in a world of fleetingness, a world where we trespass our own shadows, and stare at the face of our own mortality with a sense of renewed courage. We are humbled.

I'd really love to. Hopefully one day I'll come to the U.S. - and New England and Michigan will be a must visit for me. Have you ever read Steve Hamilton's 'A Cold Day In Paradise'? When I read it, I immediately fell in love with the U.P.
      But back to topic:
The concert here in Berlin was marvelous. It was only half sold so there were some gaps in the audience. Towards the end of the concert, Dhafer asked us to come down to the stage (in the Kammermusiksaal the audience is placed in a circle around and above the stage). And so we did. We stood around the musicians, just a few feet away, and everyone was clapping or dancing or both and really enjoying themselves. It was a very intimate moment of pure musical beauty and power. Marvelous.

Mercy Me! Talk about being late to the party! This is quite the most amazing music I have stumbled across for a long time - astonishing - drawing back the veil of illusion and showing so clearly the face of beauty - the face of truth - the universal truth of reality sings so clearly through your music - thank you so much - just wonderful to behold!

Great memory....after discovering and falling in love with Dafer Yousef music....I was in Fes and found out randomly that he was playing..I postponed my plane ticket...ended sitting on a carpet at few meters away from the stage l was so grateful for everything...later at another venue met him and his colleagues and have enough courage to ask to have his autograph on a lovely pictures of rampant horses (they had to choose one ) ...I think is around ten years ago...ha!
    Still enjoying his work!

Thanks Dhafer for your devine music!!
This concert became my soundtrack for life since I exidently found it a year ago. I cry when Alvin enters with his guitar prayers I cry when your voice blends i to the clarnit I cry when you all listen to the extraordinary drummer and I cry to see your powerful sound and soul combination with Rundulu on the piano.
    Please come to Israel!!
So many musicians and music lovers hear will be exited to see this modern traditional passionate cosmopolitical devine music you created.
I was never touched and transformed so deeply from a concert. And I am 60 years old...
