I first found Hussains music through his rhytm experience album and immediately noticed the mastery in his work. I must say in this live these guys are in THE ZONE! Genuinly having fun playing together and the most intricate music just flows through them effortlessly. This is everything a musical performance should be.

this music is more than an expression of the soul.it brings the energy back to its roots.to the timeline of which music is a vital part of human existence,.It is Gods gift.
Look how Zakir Hussain Ji is slipping into meditativeness while Rakesh Chaurasia Ji is playing flute... Once you're are in sync with music meditativeness is natural consequence... Music is expression of Silence... Shambho..
Zakir Hussain's eye almost look unfocused as he plays. As if he's giving all of his energy and senses to his hands and letting the music drive HIM. Amazing to watch. Pure dharma chops.
These two must have been playing together in so many lifetimes throughout eternity that they seem to evoke a feeling of nirvana in their playing! I am so fortunate to have encountered them here in this lifetime! This is such a profound experience...there is something mystical about this!Their souls are speaking!
Thank you so very much. I have been a multi-instrumentalist for 58 years. I cannot say enough good things about the performances presented here. I appreciate this tremendously. Even the engineering is magnificent for this show.
Indian artists in general don't carry an aircraft load of instruments. They create magic with just a small carry bag. They don't need 200 sq ft stage but a 6 x 6 sq ft is enough to perform..
The great thing about Indian music is It have stillness and it requires patience and exuberance to delve into that ocean of stillness. Manage if you can. Thankyou for this great vedio 🙏

Thank you two for your awesome and shocking performance. You made my day, so I couldn't help listening to this great and cool classical music without sensing the stream of time. It is like the delightful sound made by some stars and the moon in the universe to me. It is like the sauntering and laughing flowers in May actually in Korea. As a Korean who loves Indian music, l want to send my thanks to you two in person. Two thumbs up!
Thank you universe. I'm going trough a very painful moment, trying to overcome a breakup and depression. After meditation with this mantra i feel much better. Whoever is reading this you will find your inner peace, let go the pain and embrace the power of love and the universe. Stay strong, be happy. Greetings from Argentina.

African Music, I've been going through the same, break up and depression since the end of June this year. Music helps sometimes. Write back if you wish maybe I could help your troubles, maybe youd have some advice for mine...
Rakechrousia. Is. The. Best
I first found Hussains music through his rhytm experience album and immediately noticed the mastery in his work. I must say in this live these guys are in THE ZONE! Genuinly having fun playing together and the most intricate music just flows through them effortlessly. This is everything a musical performance should be.
I am in the final semester of my undergrad, this video is one of the reasons I could concentrate before when there was a test or submission for the last four years. It helped me to isolate myself from anything and everything; and gave me a sense of rhythm, that helped me focus on boring lecture sheets and books.
Love n respect from karachi 😍😍
This music is majestic😍😍😍
Always fan of Zakir Hussain, now fan of Rakesh Chaurasia too. Thanks to both Ustads for bringing Serenity.

Beautiful words Chandra Shekarji.
Once upon a time was the richest nation in the world, 27% of global economy we had everything all the natural resources, priceless jewels, gold, spices, richest oldest cultures in the world and everything looted from us. I only wish we were not divided imagine a one strong south Asian country we would be unstoppable
We are richest in the world in terms of culture!

Woww...bhaai....kya kamaaal......hai aapka words....
this music is more than an expression of the soul.it brings the energy back to its roots.to the timeline of which music is a vital part of human existence,.It is Gods gift.
Look how Zakir Hussain Ji is slipping into meditativeness while Rakesh Chaurasia Ji is playing flute... Once you're are in sync with music meditativeness is natural consequence... Music is expression of Silence... Shambho..
I am an Indian, life in the south of Spain and I just love Indian music, this is fantastic!!
Zakir Hussain's eye almost look unfocused as he plays. As if he's giving all of his energy and senses to his hands and letting the music drive HIM. Amazing to watch. Pure dharma chops.
That base sound in background what that is ? Sitar / Santoor/ pr something else ? HOW TO FIND IT ONLINE PLZ HELP
@@NoSubstitute1это ситар, найдите в интернете, много есть
@@NoSubstitute1it is actually called tanpura, similar instrument, without frets. I think sitar is used more for rhythmic play.
@@NoSubstitute1 also, who is playing that background tanpura? I don't understand
These two must have been playing together in so many lifetimes throughout eternity that they seem to evoke a feeling of nirvana in their playing! I am so fortunate to have encountered them here in this lifetime! This is such a profound experience...there is something mystical about this!Their souls are speaking!
It is totally mystical!

Thank you so very much. I have been a multi-instrumentalist for 58 years. I cannot say enough good things about the performances presented here. I appreciate this tremendously. Even the engineering is magnificent for this show.
The recording is amazing isn't it. So detailed. Condenser mics definitely the way to go for tabla.
Everyone is a multiinstrumentalist. Not everyone is a good one, however.
Indian artists in general don't carry an aircraft load of instruments. They create magic with just a small carry bag. They don't need 200 sq ft stage but a 6 x 6 sq ft is enough to perform..
God's mercy be upon you, Master Zakir Hussain Khan, and your friend who is playing Tole next to you, Ali from Switzerland, I love you ❤️🇨🇭🙏
The great thing about Indian music is It have stillness and it requires patience and exuberance to delve into that ocean of stillness.
Manage if you can.
Thankyou for this great vedio 🙏
Beautiful sound ,fantastic musicians
Some lovely music makes me want to go to India someday as always loved Ravi Shankar and Prasad Chauraisa music the food and people.
Easy to understand why Donovan the Beatles and Brian Jones (rolling stones)were all students and avid followers introducing us westerners to Indian sounds.
Cheers from ireland

Makes most modern music look like child's play by comparison
agreed!
Agreed
when modern music is looking for style and groove, Indian music is already a pure reflection of the soul played whith very simple instruments that have the power to cure everyone.

second time listened fully.... simply amaizing. After listining the fluit played by Rakesh Chaurasia, I can't even imagine how Lord Krishna was playing the fluite but I am sure everybody were experiencing the heaven at that time....
I love how these two play their instruments with such serious precision and elegance while also finding time to goof off and have fun
Very fine
it comes with years of deep practice.. Also its in their blood.. Both of them fall into into a line of rich heritage.. .. Pt. Hari prasad Chauarsia (flute) is the uncle of Rakesh Chaurasia and Ustad Allah rakha khan father of Zakir Hussain.. Search for their names..
I feel I just witnessed the most fabulous percussion artist in the world.
Overall beautiful performance. I went into a trance state of mind. 🙏
I had the opportunity to see Pt. Hariprasad (dad of flute player), and Ustad Zakir Hussein live back in 1996, so marvelous, the son is also wonderful, what a amazing duo.

What a phenomenal performance! The dynamics of the flute and the tabla, seperate and together, was mesmerizing. His hands were so fast, and the lungs on that guy! So, so rad.
