At 53 i was obese alcoholic and a junkie. Now im 4 years clean and sober. 2 years carnivore and i lift like a 20 year old.
    I can run now.
    Almost a 405lb deadlift and I am 190lbs at 69" tall.
Wish i knew to do this at 20 years old but they were demonizing these foods back in the 80s.

Wow, amazing! I’m trying to deal with having relapsed after over 15 years clean, so ill and depressed I couldn’t do life and picked up! Now I’m thinking I have to deal with food as I’m not using but having horrendous migraines…..you lifting and being sober is inspiring!! Did you do carnivore first and then stop the drink and drugs? I’ve stopped those but feel too ill to function which is what led me back! Thanks for sharing…

Attentive listener!? The majority of this man talking, he was paying very little attention! He would nod when he felt he needed to. He was paying more attention to his phone & the screen in front of him. I have the ability to read people very well. And during this entire interview, he literally only paid attention to the man while he was talking for a total of probably 5 minutes. Very rude!

The best part of this conversation is how happy this gentleman is about how good he feels. I didn’t really have anything to heal per se. I really enjoy the carnivore lifestyle, it has been the only time where I feel satiated. I have been slim my entire life but( as limitless Lindy says) I never had an off switch before.

This is EXCELLENT. I am omnivore, very low carb, grew up vegetarian. But this just about convinced me to try carnivore. I have a lot of chronic traumatic pain from a horse throwing me on my head and fracturing two levels of my c spine 40 years ago, a shark attack in 2002 that ripped off much of my right upper torso and left my right hand paralyzed, and now post menopausal I am totally unsure about HRT but having strange hip pain at night and just started HRT ten years post menopause. I was insulin resistant and clearly fighting metabolic syndrome until January when Dr. Robert Lustig and Dr. Pradip Jamnadas changed my life. At some point I found your channel and now you are a huge favorite! I wear a CGM and my life has totally changed on Keto.
Anyway I know this is lengthy, but THANKS! Keep up the great work.

It was wonderful to hear John’s story. I feel even more thankful now for stumbling into the “gotta get rid of the toxins” realisation, at least for sugar, quite early a few yests ago at age 48. Made a huge difference for my health, despite not having problems of anywhere near the severity that John described. Now if I can only convince my 85 year old mother, who carries a few similar problems, along with some sarcopenia more recently, to make some dietary adjustments. She just loves her legumes, and her vegies in general, too much…

The doctors were trying to put me on interfereon. To suppress my immune system 15 years ago . I refused at that point to go back to the doctors I had enough. All my adult life I’ve been studying natural medicine. And homeopathy basically alternative medicine and I just decided to put my life in my own hands. I had developed ulcerative colitis.. of which was devastating to my health. I had tried everything juicing wheatgrass. Acupuncture etc. etc. Nothing worked. So In desperation, I came across carnivore diet. Which stopped all symptoms.

The passion and enthusiasm surrounding this way of eating and the return to quality health is a real thing! I tried to shout it from the rooftops, lol, or at least tell everyone I knew, but it was not well received. We all need to come to that point where we open our minds to it.
I did so great on it, and then I believe it was the oxalate dumping that brought me the return of my knee pain and other things. I started adding in oxalate foods to slow or stop the dumping. Now I am trying to get back on track because the addiction to those foods has taken over again! I’ve gained 5-7 lbs and it’s uncomfortable. I guess I am like that carb addiction doc! Even adding a few veggies and nuts etc causes me to be more hungry and gain weight.
What a journey your guest has been on with his pain and health. I’m sure he is going to do so much better from now on! It truly does seem like a miracle.

My story also, I was dying at seventy two two years ago, three hundred and fifty five lbs with diabetes, kidney disease, serious heart issues among other issues. Went carnivore in March 2023. I have been in pain from a lower spinal injury for over sixty years and I have a ruined right knee that is bone on bone that was also quite painful and I walked with a cane. All the inflammation and pain is gone, the diseases have all healed.
On another note I saw a report of a study on animals in Africa where the researchers were surprised to find that the animals reacted with more fear to the sounds of humans that even recordings of lion's roars. Seems we have been the apex predators for a very long time.

@Anthony Chaffe MD This may seem kind of tangential, but I discovered David Deutsch a couple months ago, a physicist with an amazing book called 'The Beginning of Infinity', and so much of his philosophy and worldview that he describes in the book I think resonate with the types of people who are open minded enough to do carnivore. It really (indirectly) demolishes a lot of the science that underpins the agenda of plant food being good for us. It emphasises how 'good explanations' are the most important thing, and that's fundamentally what carnivore offers. Once you start actually going into the explanations of nutrition, biology, evolution etc, you're forced to accept that carnivore is healthy - but if all you do is look at explanationless data and statistics, you can (and do) get wildly misled.

Just under hundred years ago, mothers would nurse their babies for up to 2-3 years - but then women started working at jobs, and couldn't combine carreer with babynursing, and with that came the 'need' for the convenience of baby formula.

Have you been to a chiropractor? When the hip is out of alignment, it can affect the knees. Otherwise an inexpensive trace mineral, helps with bone/arthritis pain.

I always have had an egg sized spot of spider veins on the left side of my right knee. It didn't bothered me bc i live a healthy life: no smoking, no drugs, not even meds, no alcohol, no sugar... It's my own personal elimination diet as a huge part of my own personal elimination lifestyle (strictly avoiding contact with the allergens i'm reacting to). Now that i'm old(er😉) i went a bit further: i'm strictly following the plant free elimination diet. My spider veins got significant lighter. I took a photos to follow the process of healing. After 5 months of consuming only fatty beef (slow cooker) with water & good salt i had lost my spider veins.

@ for years my veins have been terrible. I have survived Lyme disease and autoimmune disease called Sjogren’s. I have experienced months of IVs, both of antibiotics and homeopathic medication’s where my veins would collapse, they’d have to use the smallest needle to get a vein if they even could. A few years ago, I had a situation where I was in the emergency room and the doctor was actually yelling at the nurse because she could not get a vein, I was so angry with him. I got mad and told him it wasn’t her fault. He actually had to try to get blood out of my neck and that did not work and he was the one doing it. They got a sonogram machine in order to get a vein, not only have I had trouble with them getting veins, but also withdrawing blood for decades. I usually would have to go to a highly sophisticated hospital in order to get blood draws for any labs and even the top nurses and phlebotomist would often not be able to get even a drop of blood, my blood always seems thick and dark and my veins just would not give. But since I started Carnivore, it is much easier. My blood comes out bright red instead of dark and my veins are far more responsive. They still do not work probably like other people, but it is completely different and less painful and much easier on me.

Dr Chaffee I want to ask you if you have any idea what my issue could be. I suffer from Ulcerative colitis and can’t get it under control. I eat a lion diet (fatty beef, salt and water) and never cheat. I get flare ups every couple of months and my inflammation levels are never normal. The diet has helped a lot and reduced my issues by 80% but Iam still sick. Any idea how to proceed from here ?

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabeties 12 months ago at 53, despite a life time of avoiding sweets and soft drinks.
My feet were swollen to the point i could't put my zip up work boots on. and lost all sensation in them.
I went carnivore and 8 months later my GP and tests dont even consider me pre diabetic anymore.
Queston is and even tho there has been an improvement with my feet, i have regained 75% sensation, but there is still some nerve damage in my toes.
Is that reversable over time, or once nerves are damaged there's no repairing them?
Ps; im not 100% carnivore yet, i still drink a lot of milk and i know that needs to go.
    Thanks guys.

Eat fat, butter. Carnivore isn’t just about weight loss. Some people don’t lose weight. They gain muscle mass.

    • @No_Frills_Carnivore

Stop being scared and just do it. Go carnivore, eat plenty of fatty meat and if you want to gain weight, add dairy!! Eat some good cheddar cheese - buy the block because it will be clean, zero carb, high protein, and high fat. Cheese especially causes fat loss stalls and can make you put on some. So you don't have to worry about losing any fat while carnivore. You are in control once you know how the foods affect your body/hormones xxx

I appreciate these responses but how can you say this diet doesn't reduce weight? Every comment on Keto/carnivore I read is people reporting how they lost weight while being healed.
Is your "weight gain" muscle weight from exercising? And what did you eat and how long did it take?
