    Thank God here in America more and more farms we can buy grass-fed and finished beef meats. Even in Connecticut where I live, I buy beef and other meats from family farms where the animals are outside all year round. They have their own hay for the snowy winter days. I’m so glad to support them. The taste and quality are amazing. I order bison, and elk online, so we have plenty of options to buy healthy meats. 💪🥩🍖🍗

    Thank You so much Dr Chaffee, you have really helped me so much. It took me so long to understand that I need the fat, and I can't keep draining it off into a mason jar and not adding back tallow or butter. I finally made some brown butter bites (for days Im moving more and want to eat more but don't have the time). The weight is finally coming off after 6months being stuck at 180lbs. The only reason I kept going is because I could visibly see my body comp changing regardless of the scale, and everyone was so supportive "Just eat more, workout if you want to but focus on healing, your brain needs the fat, if you are still tired or feel like snacking you need to eat more" What a time to be alive. Never could I have imagined I could FEAST and drop weight like this. All the stuff I care about as a woman like my nails, skin, and hair, have all improved drastically. I've never had to get this many hair cuts. My bad thoughts have been replaced with "lets go outside, lets run, oooo how should we cook the steak today?, Maybe I should start drawing again. Wow its so pretty outside, Lets goooooo!"

    My husband is a hunter. We didn’t get deer this year, but we have lots of bison in our freezers. What I do is buy beef fat trimmings and use them to make burger patties and make tallow. Also, after tallow is done in my slow cooker I save those crispy fat bits and put them over my steaks and eggs 😋😋

    I use mustard on meats (steak, hamburger, chicken). Yes….steaks.😉 Mustard has zero nutritional value in every category except sodium (only about 50mg per tablespoon).
    By the way, I’ve been on carnivore and doing intermittent fasting since September 25th (a little over a month ago) and lost 36 lbs!!!
    In addition, my bloodwork was both three months ago at the end of July and again at the end of October.
    Since July:
    - eGFR numbers went from 59 to 87.
    - Blood glucose dropped from 100.04 to 83
    - My Hemoglobin A1C dropped from 5.7 to 5.0
    - My once fatty liver disease numbers dropped down to normal (no fatty liver disease) numbers. I have all the bloodwork paperwork over the last three months to prove all of my improvements.
    In addition, since I’ve began eating carnivore, the numbness that were in my fingers and feet are gone. My lower back pains has decreased by about 90%. My mental clarity has significantly improved.
    Carnivore eating works and I am living proof! Staying on it for the long haul. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

    Anthony you are 💯 on healthcare. It's bandage care and not actually treating the disease or issues. If more doctors took more time with their patients with education and how to reverse issues. I've worked also in Healthcare for 30 yrs.They rather prescribe than to teach and I've had this discussion with my physicians. I'm very thankful for my doctors that take the time and I've also asked them about many things and I read and listen to lots of things (I don't watch t.v. or news). I've told my r.a. physician to check you out. She is a fabulous physician.

    I hate sprints but I got tired of hearing how great they are for you. I gave them a fair try. Unfortunately, they are effective so I've been doing them 3 to 5 days a week for the past 12 or 13 weeks. They are leading to another issue though. My underwear is getting loose in the waist but getting very tight in the upper thigh area.

    It took me a good 16 months to get fully adapted to carnivore! The first 8 months I felt like hell and thought I was dying. I stuck with it for a number of reasons and finally am seeing some of the benefits. Eating fat has been extremely difficult! I can't do more than 120 g of fat in a day. There have been some principles of carnivore that absolutely did not work for me and when I changed some of these principles things started moving forward!!!!

      @papinoo1159 20 днів тому +6

      @@coreywilder1564 First, there is nothing wrong with undereating unlike what the gurus tell you! When you switch to carnivore your hunger signals change from gurgling in the stomach to fatigue. I could go for days without eating and have zero traditional hunger pangs but I was also exhausted at the same time. The new hunger signal is fatigue but you have been so used to the old hunger signals that you think you are not hungry. It took me well over a year to understand this. To get my desire for food going, I would drink a half cup of black coffee which stimulated my appetite. I got very clear that my new hunger signals were fatigue! If you are tired, it means you are hungry. It took nearly 16 months to get clear about this and to synchronize my metabolism to these hunger signals. At first, I ate a little when I was tired because I did not want more food. As time went by, I could eat more and more when the new hunger signals kicked in. It took me months.

      @@papinoo1159 Thank you for responding. It’s just hard when you are tired and not hungry at all knowing you didn’t eat enough for the day and the last thing you want to eat is more eggs and steak. I’m hoping this is just temporary?

    • @papinoo1159
      @papinoo1159 20 днів тому +4

      @@coreywilder1564 To get your hunger going, drink a half cup of black coffee. Don't guzzle it, but sip it! You have not made the connection yet. Fatigue is the new normal for hunger, but your metabolism has not made the transition. You are eating for entertainment, and carnivore is boring and you need to enjoy the feeling of fullness in your stomach!

      @@papinoo1159 I’ve also completely quit coffee and caffeine in this diet as well. The first time in my life. So I’m trying hard to not drink that anymore. Like you said could it just be the transition phase? I need to have my body make the full switch and my appetite could pick up naturally?

    I think, after listening further, perhaps lower all the fat, perhaps to 1:1?. I am still quite overweight and the healing is slow, but I am hopeful. I read an article about travel, eat the current meal before the flight, eat nothing during the flight, no matter the time flying, drink water, to thirst only. Upon landing, eat the meal, this seems to be the most comfortable recovery

    So, so helpful in understanding how to reverse diabetes through FAT!!! Thank you so much for your educational video, it is encouraging to understand why our healthcare industry has motive to keep us all ill. More and more Im encouraged to let plants go, even though I love them, and miss them, but not at the expense of my health anymore. Ive tried my doctors way of "managing" T2D, for years, that has led me to CKD, Hyertension, obesity, and all the other associated health issues that come with that. Listening to the logic of eating high fat with meat is my goal now and omitting tasty veggies and get off the pharmaceutical / medical industry control of my health is needed! Thank you so much for your broadcast, sorry I missed live! Next time! Thanks Dr C!!!❤‍🩹

    ancient bison, goats, sheep and auruchs and other ungulates were incredibly fatty, if you look at the bone structure you can observe that in any of these ancient animals, even oryx and antelopes as well as capra aegagrus, pseudooryx and boselaphus the four horned deer, wild yak and a few others retain that vestigial extra fat potential build and bone structure.

    Dr. Chafee
    Has there been any studies on the anti-nutrients and vegetables or grains after they’ve been fried cooked soaked fermented processed canned heated
    Or are you just going by the anti-nutrients before these processes
    Because the results could be extremely different than what you’re talking about people have survived on these vegetables and grains for hundreds of years
    Despite what you would call poor diets like sugar, flour, rice, beans, pasta, etc. I’m 62 years old and I have witnessed my mother and other elderly people live until they’re late 80s 90s and hundreds
    And yes, they could’ve been healthier, but not from the food but from the pharmaceuticals is, what’s the problem they eat a balanced diet with meat, but meat was scarce in the days when they were here and they had to survive very very little when they came from another country. They had to literally cut down trees and logs to make a field so they could grow something to eat , and the animals were scarce the human body adapts and they adapted their food according to what they had
    Carnivore optimum diet. It’s not survival diet. It’s all the pesticides and fertilizers that have been used that are the problem not the plants themselves in general.

      I think it was dr. Berry who said this: eat smaller meals more frequently because your fat intake now has to match the real-time output of your liver. How many more and how much smaller is very personal and therefore unfortunately a process of trial and error. But you'll get there in the end. 💪

    I’ve struggled with chronic constipation throughout my five-year journey on a carnivore diet. While I've seen many health benefits, the constipation has not only persisted but worsened, leading to two hospital visits. I’ve tried magnesium and various remedies, including suppositories, but nothing seems to work. Unfortunately, the hospital advised me to increase fibre in my diet, which I’m hesitant to do.
    Currently, I take magnesium citrate daily, but it offers little relief. There are days I’m in the bathroom for over an hour, in tears, unable to have a bowel movement despite the urgent need. At times, I experience overflow, which is incredibly distressing. I feel at my wit's end. Perhaps someone here has suggestions that might help.
