Doing this video 10-15 times strengthened my knees from having pain/weakness around 10-12km mark, to having NO pain during an 18km run. Amazing!!!!

I’ve struggled with bad knees for years and my left one was hurting after my run yesterday, after doing this just once I can already feel the difference in my knees!I used to think it was my shoes 😅 Thank you for this video I’m so glad I found it! I especially like all the balance work since it showed me that my hips need strengthening as they tend to want to bow outward when balancing on one leg. This is great, will be watching and following along frequently!

Thank you, Ash! This is my favourite sequence. I had issues with my knees and feet (plantar fasciitis) as I transitioned from 10 miles to a half marathon. The stretching I was doing simply wasn't enough. But three weeks of regular yoga exercises from your channel fixed things for me. So thanks for this amazing channel!

Thanks Ash! Ran the half marathon a month and a half ago, and it was great! Have moved with a few injuries since, which are healing, so haven’t been running. Went for a light jog today and felt some knee twinges. Came to do this video as a new stage of strengthening before the next run (unplanned as yet), which I realise I needed last time… hey ho! Enjoyed the exercises and feel the potential for strength which is great. Will be returning for more. Now off to do one of your stretch videos. Thanks again 😊

I have struggled with runners knee off an on for the last year…I’m wondering how often to do this routine to help ease my pain?

This was tough but just what I was looking for- something to make my knees "bulletproof". There is something to be said about doing this work with bare feet. Challenges your balance and activates parts of your feet/legs that you just take for granted! Most exercises I come across for knee strengthening are done in shoes and highlights the compensation they add - almost tricking your brain! Today was my first day doing this - very wobbly. I plan to add this to my routine and I'll have to let you know how it goes in a couple of weeks. Thanks Ash!

I started really focusing on strengthening near the knee area when I noticed I have varicose veins in my left knee, thank you for this video the muscles surrounding my knee feels tight from the work 💪

Eat well, improve VO2 Max, strength train, get outdoors, breathe, meditate, nurture relationships in your life, get into nature and try to rest well don’t let stress build up too much. That’s my focus!

Glad it was helpful! Great work doing the strength work needed to help your knee. Also, maybe look at your running form as that’s a big contributing factor to runners knee too. Heel striking contributes to big impacts at the knee so we try to avoid that if we can with some form tweaks.
Apparently, my balance is terrible! I'm going to work this into my routine a few times a week.

Absolutely Colin, strength work and checking form to avoid overstriding are 2 key areas that will improve knee health when running 👍🏻😊
@@RunBetterwithAsh Yeah - I've being doing some high cadence striding to help with the latter. Feels weird at first as I love the flowing feeling of longer, slower strides. I'll keep working on it though
@@ColinCadden yes it always feels odd, thats a regular thing that happens with my clients, maybe start by increasing your cadence 5% of what it was. This feels more natural than jumping to 180spm from something in the 160s.
