Hey, I was doing yoga in the exact same position as in 18.35 seconds and my knee shifted a little bit. Nothing hurts but when I cycle my knee cap pops and grinds. And I feel like I dont have stability in that leg. Should I do this video to manage this? Also I've never had any problems with my knees.
This has helped me in 3 days more than 3 doctors and PT for the last 3 years. I've been suffering with worsening knee pain and stiffness over the years. I do yoga, Pilates, bike riding, etc , but nothing helped as much as this. I hope I can get back to bike riding again, bc that became limited this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!❤
I was having runners knee ,after I come back from my run, that always delay mu next day run ,I tried this stretch yesterday,My knees literally thanked me ,and I was able to go my next run without any pain ,Thanks to you ,I'll keep posted after a week
Wonderful! If you're dealing with knee pain, I have a whole entire course on it that people have been raving about: tristangatto.com/course/knee-reset-for-pain-stiffness/
Tristan, I've been struggling with runner's knee in the last couple months, and your video really helped release some pressure off my knee. Thank you! :)
Hey there! Did you know I have a whole course specifically for runners that address pretty much every issue a runner could face? Here's the link if you want to check it out: tristangatto.com/course/yoga-prehab-for-runners/ I tested it on my close friend who is an elite runner and she got massive results from it! She couldn't believe it because she said to me "you know I'm not a yogi, right?" lol
Hi! Start with 2-3x per week and see how you feel. You want to give the tissues and nervous system time to assimilate and heal. Typically with chronic pain or overuse injuries, the body tries to protect and gets stuck in that loop which can take time (and patience) to correct. Hope this helps.
It is hard to find a yoga class tailored to knee stabilization, as yours. This class was excellent!! Thank you so much!! Would love to see a video on yoga for preventing chronic wear and tear damage from running!
Hey there! Thanks so much...I actually just released Knee Reset for Pain + Stiffness on my site and it pairs with my Hip Reset for Pain + Stiffness since the hips primarily dictate knee health. I bundled both courses as a special this month if you'd like to check it out...here's the link: tristangatto.com/product/knee-hip-reset-bundle/
Thank you. I have knee problems, used to run, even took part in half-marathon but had a meniscus surgery after it a few years ago. Now I'm having meniscus problems on another leg - I did MRI which showed also a meniscus problem but the doctor said that he doesn't think I need surgery. So now I don't even know if I will have an ability to run someday but at least I notice that my knees feel better if I do some easy activity every day than if I just sit. Thank you for this practice. I liked it!
Hey! Sorry to hear about your knees! You might really benefit from my course all about knee health and relieving pain + stiffness. Feel free to check it out: tristangatto.com/course/knee-reset-for-pain-stiffness/
This is a super helpful video, Tristan! Thank you so much. I didn't think I would get runner's knee from hiking, but here we are. This video has helped a lot.
Hi; thanks for the video; very good, but, I do have patellofemoral pain in left knee, and can't kneel on it without even more pain. So, can't do table or any yoga on my knees.....
You can do the knee stretch on your stomach and avoid any of the exercises that require you to be on your knees. None of the exercises are a hardline, so you are able to modify accordingly for your comfort. Hope this helps!
Oh my goodness that felt so good, started running 3 weeks ago, really stiff/sore on left from hip to foot, I shall incorporate this in my plan so helpful, thank you x
I've been able to keep my knee pain at bay by cutting out gluten and dairy but all of a sudden I've had knee pain again and tiny bruises behind my knees so I'm hopeful this helps! TY!
Glad it helped! You should check out my entire course on knee health and relieving pain + stiffness: tristangatto.com/course/knee-reset-for-pain-stiffness/
Hi Tristan! Namaste 🙏. I’m actually a Cross-fit athlete & I think due to over-training/heavy training I got a strange upper patela pain in both my knees😕. Really unfortunate! I tried your stretches & actually that helped. I just did for 2 days but still the pain in the knee is there. So my question is: How many times/days I must do this exercise/stretches & can you by any chance relate what kind of knee pain I might be having? THANKS A LOT in advance! 🙏🙂
Hey there! I'm glad this helped some. I recommend 1-2x a day, back off if pain increases or try the stretches every other day to give your body reset. More is not always better. So not to diagnose you, but it sounds like you're having patellafemoral pain which is common for athletes who run and lift. You'll want to also look at your ankle and hip mobility as they tend to dictate what happens at the knee level. I have a whole course for runners and athletes that addresses this: tristangatto.com/course/yoga-prehab-for-runners/
I have acute pain when I climb stairs, do squats or any activity in which my knee bends with upper body weight on it, not exactly in my joints but somewhere behind my kneeball. I went to a doctor today and he told me I have Patellofemoral Arthritis. He asked me to have Glucosamine supplement. And not do exercises in which my bent knee gets the whole body weight like squats lunges and all. But you may try quad exercises.
Thanks! So glad you liked it. If you're dealing with knee pain, I have a whole course on it relieving it: tristangatto.com/course/knee-reset-for-pain-stiffness/
Hi there that video was great! I struggled to do the last stretch with the band because of sensitive knees and my lack of coordination! is there something else i could try instead? thanks!
Hi how to make sure that am not hurting my knee while stretching quads? I have been avoiding any knee deep bending poses as i read that it is not good for runners knee.
You can modify by performing the stretch on your side. Typically runners knee comes from issues in the hip and ankle because the knee cap is not staying in the groove. If the quads are too tight or muscular imbalance is present, this can affect the alignment of the patella. Closed chain deep knee bending or in the last 30 degress of knee extension are recommended to avoid. Gentle stretching to the quads (unless it's painful) is ok.
Yes sir! I also have a course that covers a lot of exercises that will help with knee pain. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out: tristangatto.com/course/yoga-prehab-for-runners/

Hey Tristan, how often would you recommend doing that yoga session in a week? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Same here, won't be able to do the ones where you heavily put weight on the knee..any other options?

Hi, is this video safe to do for chondromalacia patella in one knee?
I am not a runner- just got injured in one knee on accident
Hey there. I would just avoid the stretch with the strap. Other than that you're good to go!
@@TristanGatto Thanks so much!
Thank you! Amazing video
Glad you liked it! :)
Amazing

Hi there that video was great! I struggled to do the last stretch with the band because of sensitive knees and my lack of coordination! is there something else i could try instead? thanks!
I always pad my knee or you can lay on your side to do this. Lay on the side that you are stretching to stabilize your hip.
@@TristanGatto thank you! I'll give it a try!!!
Amazing video!!! 🌸🌸🌸
Glad you enjoyed it!
breathing through the mouth? i never do this - anyway : nice practice, thx :)
yes breathing through the mouth helps calm the nervous system and cool the body.
Very effective brother.
Love from bharat(india)☀️🙏
Glad this helped!
